IKR! I actually didn’t expect that to happen. I loved their rivalry but I actually like how they put it behind them and ended up being friends afterwards.
I felt bad for Uma. Yes she was ‘evil’. But she was trying to help her people, Mal’s, just to realise it was a lie. If Mal did the same thing in the first movie, no one would care, so please, some love from Uma
She thought she was doing the right thing by closing the barrier and didn’t know how to tell her friends. Mal doesn’t always make the best decisions but she always figures out how to make it right
She should have, but people forget that no one takes the truth very well at all. People like to deny the truth and yell at you and say "Why would you tell me this!?" But yet, when you lie to them they are in disbelief and wanted you to tell them the truth and since you lied you are the backstabbing b**** It honestly isn't fair. I understand her reasoning on lying, I like to be truthful and honest but I have learned that people hate honesty. And she had to, or else she wouldn't have gotten help. Sometimes to save someone or something you have to do what you normally shouldn't do. It's how life goes. I mean, we are taught that we shouldn't hurt others but when we are in need of defending ourselves we have to fight back.
@@sjr613Uma shouldn't have helped them. She's right. None of the people on the mainland cared about the people they deemed unworthy of being near them. Even the children. Why should they help her?
Some Descendants fans hate Mal because they don't see from her perspective. She stole Ben from Audrey with magic because she wanted to get the wand for her mother then fell in love with Ben and learned to be good. She caused Uma to escape the Isle when she ran away and her friends and boyfriend had to come get her and she ran away because she thought she wasn't good enough to be Ben's girlfriend. And she wanted to close the barrier in the last movie because of Uma and Hades. She wanted the barrier closed because she thought it was best for Auradon when Audrey was the real threat. And it isn't Mal's fault that Audrey was jealous. Ben was still in love with Mal even after her love spell washed away in the enchanted lake. If he didn't love her, he would have apologized to Audrey, asked her to his coronation and Audrey would have stood next to him at the ceremony.
Right. Ben was only under that spell for like what a day lol. Everything from after he came out of water was purely him. He even knew about the spell that she spelled him
I'm pretty sure they don't gaf about the kingdom when they're living in squalor and poverty and their only chance at a good life was squashed by the very person they thought they could trust.
Anyone else feel like Ben kinda threw her under the bus here? Shes referenceing a decision *his* parents pressured her into and he didnt stand up to help her then or here. She made the wrong decisions, but honestly its hard to be an outsider somewhere and have everyone put the full weight of something soley on you.
That's a very good point. Would have been good writing to include him saying this to them. Head Canon says he had this discussion off camera after spell breaks which is why it jumps to everyone forgiving her so easily

As friends, evie was so inconsiderate 😢 if i were to be in mal's shoes, i wouldn't even know how to tell my friends their high hopes turned out to be a lie🥺
Mal was inexperienced in the area of making decisions like this. I feel like it was Belle and Beasts place to step in and say, "Let's think of a better way." They're the ones with more than a decade of experience, even Ben, who originally wanted to bring the VKs to Auradon, and who knows how deeply Mal cares about bringing the two groups of people together, could have said something. But they didn't want to. Maybe not intentionally, but on some level, it must have been a cop-out for them. I'm glad everything worked out in the end, but they really failed Mal, and in turn, the other VKs, when they left Mal make the call before she was even officially holding office as royalty.
