Of course we can't forget Verdi! I've played this piece 100's of times in Australian brass bands. It is a true force majeur in a full arrangement. One of my absolute favs.
Wow. Superb musicianship. Leaves me awestruck that such beautiful spring water-clear tone can be sustained while physically manoeuvring instruments with such agility.
Absolutely love this performance so much! I remember my middle school band director wanting to play this piece, but many found it difficult for the time! 😅 such an incredible display of legendary musicians! I remember watching this over 12 years or so ago all the time! I love their tone and their depth of sound so much! They really sing! Love it! Such a classic masterpiece! ❤️🥲
I don't see why need to fight over who's a better trombonist i mean Lindberg and Alessi are both VERY GOOD! why can't we just agree on that and say that they also both have their strong points and weak points?
Considering the style of dress and the equipment CL is using this is probably early to mid nineties, this his signature horn and mouthpiece would not have been made yet.
Aaahhh. lovely chamber concert. Excellently played, dispite all critisisms. This is fun, and ok the piano took over parts where Lindberg should have kept on playing. Who cares? You kind have to think about the theme from the movie "the Godfather" when hearing this. And, of course playing Verdi too many times before, you have to love the broken chords at the end- Yes this is Verdi and he will end every piece, no matter how bueatiful with that. Love it.
wow ive never heard hakan play orchestral literature. ive always heard him play solo type things. no doubt he would be in one of the top orchestra's in the world if he perused a career as an orchestral trumpet instead of touring around the world performing as a soloist
Sorry if it’s too late but here it is: www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/la-forza-del-destino-force-of-destiny-overture-for-trumpet-trombone-and-piano-digital-sheet-music/20766864
@richbonner93 and nicotrombone, It is my understanding that Lindberg was just having fun when they wrote up this piece, and no official score for the arrangement actually exists. They did it on an impulse, sorry; I wanted this arrangement too. D: If you wanna check out his sheet music arrangements though, go to tarrodi.se/material.asp#others. These are the official pieces by Lindberg and they are kind of expensive. Enjoy :D
This piece is actually called La Forza Del Destino (The Force of Destiny). UA-cam wont let me give you a website to find it but if you look it up I'm sure you'll find it.
I watched these videos in 2014-16 when I was a high school trombone player, Lindbergh’s tone and musicality always stun me
I like the contrasts in the looks/clothing between the three.
You expect it from the trumpet or the cornet but - my God - Christian can make the trombone sing like no one else.
Yes!!’ He is amazing and musical
I come back to this performance at least once a month - timeless.
Es un hermoso video inteepretado oor geniales musicos con una alta técnica felicitaciones maestros .
Fantastic vid, two guys at the top of their game...I'm simply in awe as a fellow brass player.
Of course we can't forget Verdi! I've played this piece 100's of times in Australian brass bands. It is a true force majeur in a full arrangement. One of my absolute favs.
Eu nunca irei cansar de assistir isso!!!!!

I think the world is big enough for both of them! LOL! (and a few more... it's just such a pleasure to hear them play)

I noticed that he isn't using his special Conn CL mouthpiece in this performance... I wonder why?

Can I get sheet music somewhere for this?
i prefer the energy i hear from Christian to Alessi but they are both better than me so i listen to them both

@SuperTB4 Sorry, when I say "broken chords" I mean arpeggios.
regardless of who you think is better, Lindberg or Alessi, they're still both better than everyone on this page!!! so listen to them both!!!!!!
Trombonista toca demais!!!
4:14
Lindberg is the best!
So who said that Lindberg's sound is too bright?!?!?! Just listen people!
sheet music would be great!
If you want to join Christian Lindberg's new project look for "The Allan Pettersson Project " on facebook.
3:18 is intense.
Watching Hardenberger play with flat fingers is so bothersome. It sounds fantastic though!
