Giovanni’s Room sounds like such an interesting read! While I haven’t read many books for black history month, I plan to read lots of books from bipoc authors this year (both old and new), along with some queer books. I’ve added the books you mentioned to my own reading list for this year, and I’m excited to read them.
Haven't read any of Baldwin's works, but I want to. I've heard good things about Go Tell It on the Mountain especially. I recently finished The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man, and it's a really good read. Despite the title, it's a fictional account. It doesn't seem to be a very well known book, but I highly recommend it.
