If the viewers understood the panic trying to find a coil. That was a interesting 5-10 minutes and not knowing if you were going to be able to get your pass in. But it was definitely nice to see the car up and running and making passes.
@@FastSS02that way BRETT with the green mustang is making CLEET spend $300,000,00 to out run a mustang !!!!!!!😂😂😂LoL 😂. no LS , SMX ,and we had to get a pro line motor !!!!! Then you had to hire him to keep him for racing!!!!! YOU CHEVY FAN BOYS
I’m an old Ford guy but I really don’t care what engine you put in a race car. A street/muscle car yeah I believe in keeping the engine brand the same as the car. But in a race car it just doesn’t matter. The car has no idea what logo is on the engine. For me making good, reliable power that is easy to service at a reasonable cost are the most important factors in a race car engine.
Forgot its also nice to see a small block ford running in it I understand eventually you may wanna be quicker and change but ty for showing the SBF is no joke either really love them engines but I grew up with them i am around your dads age also got to play with the 351 Cleveland 4v back in the day for an all iron block factory engine they made good track power most up high but where you need it on the track unless you got lots of suspension work back in the 1990's seen 2 running a 9 second ET at 4500 feet at salt lake city drag way both powered by flat tappet solid camshafts and all iron engines pretty darn good for the day. Also had a friend had a 66 ford short bed pickup when we headed to track he had his dads big block chevy truck anyway he laughed at our 351c engine till he got whooped he was running low 12's truck was low 10's with a 351 Cleveland. anyway he wasnt saying shit after and he avoided us. I like all american muscle dodge included im a weird breed but I do love SBF's love watching your car as well as your Dads wagon anyway enough said take care and best of luck with this channel
It was crazy to see how the geometry changed on the differential as you loosened the mounts. When I worked on circle track cars I stressed how important it was to work in corresponding bolts at the same time and as equally as possible with an ending torque equal. It might hang or sit the way you want, but under stress & load it'll change in ways you don't want.
Beastin it! You and your father are just so much fun to follow with all of the things I have learned as well. Heck yeah I'm down for the long haul with your new channel.
Some dude I have known for a zillion years told me to come over here from his channel and like and subscribe. Changing turbos would be crazy expensive, but I think a small shot of nitrous would get the turbos to spool up. Why not set it up for now for the 8.50 class? It seems to be very consistent. ANd running the 8.50 class would not force you to spend a ton of money, since you are only a tenth off. if you could get it to be consistent at that .8.50 as it is at 8.60, you might have a winner and not kill parts. Drag week with Pops? LOL. You two to me are the top of the drag and drive world, when it comes to sharing knowledge. Just go by the seat of the pants on content, like your father does. Thank you for this.
Way to go Kyle. FYI: I had a hard time trying to find you after Steve’s video. I got a golfer. YUK! I mean darn… LOL HEY I just had to jump on and give you a comment for having Steve working in your video. Kudos! I was going to tell him how hard changing those in the car is. The GM 12 bolt rear end is much worse. I had to cut mine out. Nice tool Steve!
It was nice to see the Stanger running at the track. Better than seeing it on a trailer being towed by the F250. Hey, Dewey needs a shop couch to lay on, then he can stay off the parachute!!! Just grab one someone threw out at the side of the road.
Get some rode mics, Either get the wireless ones or one that will attach to your camera. Good luck, alot of people are very picky how the audio is. Especially the older they get. Also wouldnt lowering the bar to the lower hole on the axle help mitigate the wheelie by driving the front end down more?
Thanks for sharing the install Kyle! I should have sent you the UPR bushing tool, would have saved Steve from having to make one. We at UPR are proud to see you upgrade to much stronger and safer UPR Extreme Series upper and lower control arms and spherical bushings!
Considering, I think you achieved success. Great launch, drives straight and wheelies without incident. Great to see you back in the swing of things. Good luck.
Ya'll need to market that bushing tool. Seriously. I'd buy 2. So many times that would have saved me a whole bunch of time. Think about it. Everybody I know would want one.
All in all a good weekend of Testing Kyle and Crew. Yeah silly shit happens... keep on it and I'm sure it'll all be okay. Glad to support your Channel. I'm an a former True Street multi time Winner and NMRA Hot Street National Champion currently helping out my buddies ProMod team. Keep it up! Jettn' Jim Wohlford
Good to see you are running a FORD. Glad to see you started your own channel. You have come a long way. Just another day at the track, as your dad would say, breaking stuff. Good Luck.
Nice job kid 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻! You will get it! Make everything work correctly, then you start pouring power into it! Glad you have got it back out! People have no idea how much work goes into race cars!
Making tools that already exist, funny! I’ve done these with my ball joint press! I do like the idea that tools can be made by any of us normal folks. I built my cam bearing installer!
I take it you got your discount for the new hair and T-shirts. I have to say that I enjoy watching you guys do racecar things with the whole family and I wish I could have gotten along with my dad better so I could work with him again.
I hope future videos are more about you Kyle. With you filming your old man, having him doing the talking and doing the wrenching, that first 1/3 of the video felt like another video for your Dad's channel. Really looking forward to your Dad stepping away from these videos so that you can stand on your own and make this channel brilliant.
I had some of those lower control arms, problem is the poly bushings have about a 1/2”-3/4” gap between both halves and allows the to pinch and mash out. I machined a piece of aluminum with an 1/4” bigger hole in it then pressed it into the arm that would allow cruising in the poly but compress the poly and hit the aluminum on hard acceleration…..kind of like a cheap rod end lol
Glad to see Kyle with his new channel. I just saw the Cletus video on the engine for his new car. I bet they won’t have the support they had with SM Engines. Wish they would have gone with the dry SMX. Really like your new channel as well as your dads, best channels and content on you tube. I’m an old sprint car engine builder from way back . Keep up the great work
they'll have the support but likely it'll be like with Texas Speed where they gotta send the engine back every here and then same thing they did with Mullet's SMX and the normal big block Steve made for it
I fought similar problems with a 363 Ls combo with twins . Call Cameron torque converters have him fix yours or build you one he really has a handle on the turbo stuff it will spool night and day different. Car will instantly be a 7 second car
cam size needs to be changed to get it over the hump quicker also more injector , may need another converter change also to up launch rpm let pete at HED put a tune in it, it will go 7s easy.. ~ the combo has great potential
If its not building boost fast enough seems like a turbo or converter issue I always switch to smaller compressor inlet larger exhaust side helps spool
Came here following you dads recommendation, I’m interested as I have a SBF also. Nothing like yours though. Would smaller turbos light up quicker? Good luck from France 👍

Nice to see father and son racing together having fun

Nice to see a Mustang that doesn’t have a LS in it.
I agree. (And I'm a Chevy guy.)

Cleetus car is not drag and drive so makes no sense to run a water jacketed block. Confused why so many people can't understand that.
Lookin’ like y’all made a productive day out of it, even with Steve’s off-road excursion.
