We’ve had a great start to the szn but we should not get carried away so soon and claim “we’re back”. Football changes quickly and it’s important to remember we still have a young / inexperienced team / coach / owners (yes with loads of potential). We have to remember it’s still September. Remember how spurs szn went last szn?
In football these days people get gassed way too easily after three good results forgetting the season has 38 games in total in the league alone. With a new coach, it's good to build momentum but not get ahead of ourselves, especially when you haven't measured yourself against the best teams in the league at the moment.
I'm not sure how much we've changed yet. We're looking good playing counter-attacking football against teams that don't defend against it? Without being too much of e negative nancy, let's please keep in mind that we've played 5 PL games so far, and we've only really looked good in the two games where the opposition stood high and did practically nothing to stop us running behind them. We looked very much second best against City. We crushed Wolves because they refused to defend. We couldn't get it done against Palace. Then we got an ugly as hell win against Bmouth, and only because Maresca finally put Nkunku on the pitch. And then we punctured Wham's bubbles through yet more transitional goodness. I want to be optimistic as much as the next person but beating a couple of teams that make it easy doesn't make us great. Beating teams that actually defend with discipline and hit us the way we hit Wolves, on the other hand... And regarding Maresca, it is fairly easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the guy is a genius since we've crumbled a few bad teams, but we should remember the standards we aspire to. There are significant problems and so far we're I'm not aware of any indication that solutions are on the way. Specifically, Maresca has to find a way to get Nkunku involved with Jackson and Palmer without pushing either of them out of position. It's tough but it is necessary if we want to be at the level of the other top teams. Anything less is just excuses. If we can get that offense going, we're on par with anyone in European football, offensively. Throw in Sancho on the left, throw in Madueke or Neto or eventually Estevao on the right and that's not exactly making it worse, is it? But who defends? There's an entire 5 players left to defend. That is enough, as long as the front 5 still contribute. Being an attacker doesn't have to mean defending like Sterling on a bad day.
I think finding that midfield balance is key. And to be honest, i see Lavia being a better fit next to Caicedo long term. Lavia just shields it better.
Nkunku needs to play but seems favouritism got people dancing around the conversation. Why we acting like Palmer can't play RW which he done most of last year and some of his best performances came from that side. You have dribble merchant in Madueke that leads to fxck all (Wolves was a pne off) taking up the space for Nkunku to play all because certain platforms want to be proven right about Madueke. Take him off that team and put Nkunku on, why we discussing this...
Because the team needs width, palmer likes to cut in, if gusto inverts, you become easy to defend, yh palmers best perfomances where with an overlapping full back we dont really use that, I mean look at when poch started playing well its palmer in the 10, madueke on the right

Not sleeping on Noni one bit. But Harry is spot on. I’ve been screaming since week one. Nkunku and Palmer are too good to not both start. No matter who is doing what. So you play Nkunku and Palmer as inside 10s as Gusto runs overlaps for Palmer to maintain the width and let Palmer operate that inside right channel. No one wants to deal with Jackson, Sancho, Nkunku, Palmer and Gusto! 😮💨
I feel that another great option is a front four of JSancho beside CNkunku beside NJackson beside PNeto. In which case the subs may be Felix and Madueke if needed.
I’ll give Maddy one more game. If he doesn’t perform I think you have to start Nkunku. I also think same with Jackson if he doesn’t stay consistent you insert Nkunku. Great point that if Palmer is on the right WE CANNOT INVERT Gusto, he has to overlap
I don't want to get over excited too soon like George is. Let us play against the big teams: Arsenal, Liverpool, Mancity and some stubborn lower table teams like Brighton
Remember Nkunku and Palmer scored in our 1-2 Win over Brighton three(3) & a half months ago Lets win this one at home for Stability# Chelsea is now a Stable English Football Club#
Everyone already singing Maresca's praise until he loses. What top team has he played and defeat? While recent results are positive, beating struggling teams is not a yardstick of how good he's doing!
nkunku and neto can't be starter yet for this season because we don't have good enough backup striker aside nkunku and neto key players can play both side to sub either madueke and sancho if they have problems with injuries or performance
For Nkunku and palmer to play together they need to be able to swap positions mid game… RW and Number 10 position . Madueke and NATO can come from the bench
Let's just wait until we play Liverpool away and Newcastle at home. If we win both of those, perhaps then we can start getting excited. We really can't judge our progress on games against Bournemouth, a useless West Ham side, and Barrow.
Guys the season is still young let's not rush christo when his tum comes he will start remember his records when it comes to injuries it will all come good one let's give our own pep tym
Let's calm down with the title challenge. Too early. Let's give it time. We have a difficult run of games coming. I'll tell you if we're back after them.
Jackson likes coming from the left channel. We should be rotating towards the left into a back 3 when we go into attack. The left side cones forward to provide width, Jackson works in from the left channel, and Nkunku finds his spaces.
Benson you’re spot on mate, im not saying ban palmer from the 10, but what i am saying is if you want to see real transgressions from palmer, play him Rw, he loves that half space anyway, playing him @ Rw rather than the ladder ( cam ) he will develop his game in the wider areas and is what you should want as a chelsea fan. Its two fold, cant have someone like nkunku on the bench, and if you want to see palmer pick up where he left off from last year, all signs point to him playing on the right hand side, not only does it allow nkunku to come in the side, but also palmer can play his game
its working for Maresca because he has a young squad who are willing to learn. Can you imagine if the dressing room was full of drogba, terry, lampard etc !!!
Even better for me is to move reece James as the the right centre back if he camt get up and down anymore and have gisto flyong up the right in order for palmer to be in that double position,
I don't like that suddenly everyone rates Chelsea and now all content this week is Chelsea are back people should wait untill we reach year end cause the test lies there
The most vital thing about the team including the Manager is that players are deployed in the areas of their strength in the field of play, unlike in the past were players are forced to play in unconfortable positions for a long time. I understand as enough earning football player the need to adapt and play in other positions yes but not as a permanent situation when there are players suitable for such positions.

Not mad at the Henry comparisons I totally see it
I don't want to get over excited too soon like George is. Let us play against the big teams: Arsenal, Liverpool, Mancity and some stubborn lower table teams like Brighton
30:43 please don’t take away from his progress. It’s not a question. He has gotten better at finishing. Is he the best no. But he’s progressing
Against top 6 opposition, I see Nkunku starting without fail.
We need to win big teams before declaring that the team has matured
Tell you the truth, I do wish for that in my fm and FIFA career modes. Especially when I have so many good players in the team.
"Old school, blood and gore, we're going to win it all, we've already won it all."
Love it, George! This is the analysis I'm here for! 💙🤣
We have a lot of competitions to play in this season. Every squad member will get game time.
nkunku and neto can't be starter yet for this season because we don't have good enough backup striker aside nkunku and neto key players can play both side to sub either madueke and sancho if they have problems with injuries or performance
Am sorry benson wat happen to ur voice
George please do a video with the Ratings of each of the players so far
I’ve still got PTSD from the last two seasons and get nervous at every game.
hoping we are on the up.
In Maresca I trust.
UTC
Chelsea will win the league this season just like Conte season. You heard it from me first
Lavia coming back after international break
You gotta work on your Henry and Harry mix up mate. Second time! 😂
Palmer to the right would take away some of the double and triple teams he’s been facing this year. They are condensing around him.
Team right now should be:
Sanchez
Gusto Fofana Colwill Cucurella
Caicedo Enzo
Palmer Nkunku Sancho
Jackson
Hey bro
How can i get the Manual shampoo?
Am your fan from Kenya
its working for Maresca because he has a young squad who are willing to learn. Can you imagine if the dressing room was full of drogba, terry, lampard etc !!!
Its not gonna be easy to start cole and joão in the future....
Even better for me is to move reece James as the the right centre back if he camt get up and down anymore and have gisto flyong up the right in order for palmer to be in that double position,
The Brighton game should be RS MG TA or WF LC MC MS EF CP JS NC & NJ with the Bench FJ BB RV CC PN NM & JF
But if drop noni and put palmer there, how we can rotate players in second half.
Not having a clear idea on how we can rotate players.
Palmer. Nkunku. Neto
Jackson
Nkunku must be in the starting line up or he will transfer to another team at the end of the season. He's a star
I don't like that suddenly everyone rates Chelsea and now all content this week is Chelsea are back people should wait untill we reach year end cause the test lies there
I hope we this good against bigger teams as well
Nkuku is the Chelsea FC striker & Finisher, the rest are projects & fillings
The most vital thing about the team including the Manager is that players are deployed in the areas of their strength in the field of play, unlike in the past were players are forced to play in unconfortable positions for a long time. I understand as enough earning football player the need to adapt and play in other positions yes but not as a permanent situation when there are players suitable for such positions.
Its good to be a Chelsea fan once again!
Nico vs Nkunku for first 11 button 😂
How is there more likes than views 😂
And with Romeo & Reece to come back 😊
