Honestly, I never heard of the word "colander" when I first saw this. I was like "What?😂" Also, I didn't think Malcolm was excited when I first saw this. I thought he was freaking out because of how the key would go down the toilet or whatever. What you said makes more sense though.
I was 9 when this show first premiered and I immediately fell in love with it. Needless to say I am now 29 and this show is my daughters favorite show. Gotta love good ole “Malcom In The Middle”.

as a kid, I found it funny, but I didn't appreciate some of the other aspects of the show's writing such as the family dynamic and the relationships between the parents and the kids.
Have you watched Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure time, Regular Show and Dan Vs? They're the only kids show that are funny. Also even adult cartoons nowadays are way more childish and immature than the kids show so there's no really much good modern shows.
Why would Hal make two spare keys and why would Dewey swallow a key since all he wanted to do was go to the arcade but they still turned him down because they thought the arcade was too childish?
Malcolm was born on the lawn we never see Dewey getting born we just know Lois went into labor with Dewey while in the backyard so for all we know they did make it to the hospital
Not necessarily an error: Conceivably, when he was born, Malcolm and Resse didn't torture him right away because he was new-born and Hal and Louis made it clear that they would take him to the hospital the day after for a check-up to make sure Dewey was healthy, and then they came home, happily announcing that he was indeed, and that's when they felt it was "safe" to torture him.
How I think the scene would play out after that line... Malcolm: What are you doing? Reese: There could be a spare. Malcolm: He had the spare! Reese: Well, maybe there's a spare spare. Malcolm: Who has a spare spare key for their car? Reese: You know how Dad is. Remember when he was looking for his car keys, but they were in his hand the whole time? He was looking for his glasses too at the same time when they were really on his head already. Malcolm: .....Fair enough. Go ahead and check.
I thought that the episode was originally going to end with Lois and Hal at a red light and they see Dewey in Hal's car right next to Lois'. Lois would then shout "Dewey?!" and Dewey sees them and floors it back home. If we got to see Lois and Hal find out about the car situation, I think this would happen when they would come home... (Malcolm and Reese finish cleaning themselves and the utensils they used to dig in the feces. They then hear the car pull up in the driveway). Reese: He's home. Malcolm: Let's kick his ass. (They walk to the backyard to the car). Malcolm: All right, Dewey! You're dead for taking the car without us! (They then stop when they see it's their parents) Lois: What? Reese: Uh... Lois: What do you mean Dewey took the car? Hal: Wait a minute. (Hal notices his car is gone). Hal: My car! Where's my car?! Reese: Dewey was rummaging in the garage and found the spare key and we couldn't stop him. (Hal rushes into the garage and looks at his hiding spot). Hal: He did find my spare key! Watching this show as a kid my first thoughts were how Lois and Hall raised 4 sociopaths. I know this is a comedy show, and a lot is exaggerated for fun. But these 4 should have ended up foster homes or juve after 1 season alone.
And all of this in the time their parents weren't home from work nor were the kids at a school so it must've been a weekend. I wish mom had been home more when I had questions. Now all I have is anger.

That's my main reasons I stopped watching this TV show it's full of kids being mischievous and less obedience and no knowing who what whenever wherever why and sometimes how to be a family but always gets to do whatever and however they wants their own ways than the elders these passed days are telling the truth of our future lifestyles we would end up with kids who behaves like our younger self to adult ages of doing each and one's own things than what parents thinks and wondering that it is and will be yet I guess it would be a differ since old generations these days are like from what happened to their lifetimes but sooner or later it will occurs to the kids one day whether they learned to be properly raised well by their own or else be useless and always depend on your folks then yourself when you get way older and what if they won't be there forever with you for certain times

That's my main reasons I stopped watching this TV show it's full of kids being mischievous and less obedience and no knowing who what whenever wherever why and sometimes how to be a family but always gets to do whatever and however they wants their own ways than the elders these passed days are telling the truth of our future lifestyles we would end up with kids who behaves like our younger self to adult ages of doing each and one's own things than what parents thinks and wondering that it is and will be yet I guess it would be a differ since old generations these days are like from what happened to their lifetimes but sooner or later it will occurs to the kids one day whether they learned to be properly raised well by their own or else be useless and always depend on your folks then yourself when you get way older and what if they won't be there forever with you for certain times

If me then who said I watched a few clips of Malcolm in the middle on UA-cam videos I watched in TV my passed young age but nowheredays I stopped and started to feel like that's what and how I feel from their TV shows of the 4-5 sons are doing their own parts as one is serve in the military or Marine or IDK soldiers army place while the 2nd oldest son has to be responsible for both his own bros while another bro is born and IDK what happened after that as what did happened further on that TV shows while I was still in school years ago and now I just felt like it's not worth watching anymore as I understand each POVs of each characters' roleplay as being a parents to your own kids I know they have to take their parts to neither accepts things as if we want to have or get a GF then that's just how life is or if they want to know what's and how's to lose your own V then I bet you won't be able to get used to it or something important you done will affect your future once you lost something dearest to yourself that you wished you shouldn't done in the first place, ...etc hope that answered your questions of my reasons to stop watching this TV even who what when where why and sometimes how personal to non personal matters happens but I still think everyday and nights people make it more personal matters to attend as I learned from movies to TV shows and to some people's real life
