I was thinking the same. Those look perfect enough to make chocolate covered strawberries with. Seems like a waste of some aesthetically perfect berries to just chop them all up.

Ive been binging korean and japanese recipe videos the last few days and I appreciate it so much. Its so humble and purely for the art of cooking and not this whole spectacle.
Its nice! We used to make this as a kid back in the 80's. We mashed the strawberries, put it in a pitcher, put in fresh milk, add some condensed milk. Very refreshing!🍓🍓🍓🥛🥛🥛😘
This has given me an idea to macerate strawberries in sugar in this fashion, then mix the result with cream and let it sit for a while, strain out the strawberries and puree them, and mix them back in before whipping the cream. I think it'll make a really nice topping for ice cream, or frosting for a strawberry cake. Edit: Plus, it'll have a really cute pink color, that's important too.
It is so meticulously done and very aesthetic

What are you talking about? Cafés are generous with toppings too.
@@fathfez7991 not here in the Philippines, you pay more for what you get. The portions of most of our food that you get from here is small. And so cafes too will serve only a bit.
@@sobangcha3042 I think every bit of the world use the "You pay more you get more" philosophy. Aren't the living expenses cheap there? Isn't that like the reason why you'll get less of a portion? You pay less you get less
@@fathfez7991 also think about how much they get payed.
@@no.1fan156 I get the difference of the monetary value within each , (n=salary/expenditure) . Philippines and pretty much the entire Southeast Asia doesn't mass produce strawberry, so you have to import it from other countries to fulfill the demand, like China and US. That is the reason why it's rather 'expensive' in Philippines. The price of each is higher there than in the US due to import tariffs. And with Philippines market as the base, you pay *a lot* more (since your salaries are comparatively less from the US), but due to the scarcity of the product in the region, you get less for a normal portion in those who produce them in mass, like US, or Korea. E.g you'd pay $2.00/lb in Philippines, and $1.60/lb in US. And yes, the system of "you pay less, you get less" still works here, if you don't compare it to those who mass-produced the goods.
Cutting strawberries one at a time - never seen that done before. Clearly a very high quality product with that level of attention to detail.
The one who's making it looks like he/she has so much patience. I should learn from him/her.

How long can you keep it?
@@m.c.2899
It is best to consume the milk immediately as you will notice the separation and discoloration as time goes by. But if you must store it for later, refrigeration for up to 2 days is OK. Any flavor. I hope this helps 😊
Growing up we basically did this but higher ratio of fruit to milk and did like peaches and raspberries too. Also added a dash of vanilla extract to the peaches.

I can’t even find strawberries that looks like that where I’m from , there is at least two rotten strawberries in the packet and they don’t even taste sweet they are sour , so when I see strawberries like that I get jealous
Same!!!🥺
Me too
Honestly you don't have to feel jealous. I grow 15 varieties of strawberries. These ones in the video just looks nice due to the uniformed looks, but from the color, they were picked way too early -- and I can guarantee that all of them actually taste sour, or not have much taste otherwise, no matter how nice it looks. That's why they used ALL THAT SUGAR.
They probably are sour, that's why they added sugar. Also I've noticed that the organic strawberries are usually sweeter than the regular and only cost 60 cents to one dollar more per package and least in northeast usa.

@Ocean Sky Might be because you're getting more water into them. A common way of enhancing the flavor of fruit is to cut the water to them just before harvest, but not enough to kill the plant.
@@TheYpurias also is possible that way u get best solution on the syrup, as u still need a little water to dissolve the sugar, both ways are good i think
Yes, wash the strawberries first before cutting away the stalk. Prefer bacteria from entering the fruit.
@Ocean Sky Lots of little mold spores and tiny bacteria's on your strawberry when they coem from the field or store. Washing removes those, so theres less rot trying to set in. I wash my strawberries in a 5 to 1 mixture of water and vinegar, then rinse and dry super thoroughly. good shelf life.

Очень интересный рецепт, нужно обязательно попробовать. А какой срок хранения такого молока?! Дней 3-4? Или несколько часов?
This was so satisfying to watch. I love how Koreans are taking care of their hygiene and making sure everything is clean. As someone who comes from Serbia where cooks use bare hands to touch your food (which is disgusting) seeing you use gloves while making just a drink really made me feel at ease. Amazing 💜
I’m Serbian too lmao
Hands are very sanitary. You can wash then over and over. Some people use the same gloves for extended periods of time.
Disposable gloves are also not environmentally friendly. So touching food with hands is okay for chefs and cooks if they wash frequently at each step in the cooking process. Its also the most natural way to cook because you can feel the texture and nature of the food you are handling. Going back to basics sometimes isn't always a bad thing.
Don’t fall for western concept of gloves are better. Hands have amazing healing properties and microbes that build a healthy gut. We are designed to eat using hands, not gloves.
As medical people say always change your gloves and wash your hands afterwards… so yes it’s good she’s using gloves but no because we don’t know how many times she has used that gloves and keep touching other things 🤷🏻♀️ it’s better to use your hands…

So no one gonna talk about how the strawberries are arranged in the package and so red while here they just give a box just dumped and they’re all half white
Where is here
If the strawberries are being shipped across states then they are picked early so they are almost ripe by the time they arrive. If they are picked and used locally they are ripe for ready use. Same reason why you go to the store and the avacados or bananas are super hard or green.

Watching them sanitize and wash what they use while wearing gloves really reassures my inner germaphobe.

This is my favourite kind of strawberry milk! I love having strawberry chunks in them and having to mix it up. I personally use less sugar when I do it, just barely enough for the maceration process to take place.
Maceration, for those wondering, is the process of using sugar (or sometimes salt) to draw fluid out of a fruit. The sugar then mixes with the fruit juices and thickens them. You can speed up the process by simmering the strawberries and sugar mixture on the stove, but it's harder to control the sweetness that way. When you macerate over time you can do small tastings to see if you've reached your desired sweetness (then remember for next time). It also helps when doing it for baking because you can start your berries, then prepare your cakes while they ripen!
This was so informative. Thanks! 🍓
Thanks for the information, that’s very cool
what type of milk did they use, it just said heavy milk?

The milk will only taste lightly of strawberries

Me, lactose tolerant: With some hope and correct diet for it, one day your descendants will be lactose tolerant.
Lactose free milk is also available in the market. Don't you use that?
