Jeep Avenger | 400km EV | €35,995 | European Car of the Year

This week we're test driving the all-new Jeep Avenger. This was a car specifically designed for the European market, and it seems the brand has done something right as it's been crowned 2023 European Car of the year.
It's a fully electric SUV that's roughly the size of an Opel Mokka. It has a 54kWh battery which can achieve 400km on a single charge whilst having 153bhp to the front wheels.
There's a number of cool and quirky features on the car, many of which play homage to the past. These include the 7 slot 'grill' as well as the child with a telescope amongst many others.
To drive, it's very solid and in sport mode very responsive. It doesn't feel overly large which is quite nice, particularly for Irish roads. It has over 30 ADAS systems which help make each journey a little easier. From lane assist, to a high quality reversing camera.
With a starting price of €35,995 it's tough to spot flaws in the new Jeep. Enthusiasts may be disappointed that it's not available with 4 wheel drive, however if you can put this aside, it's a very impressive offering from the brand.
