If you like this song. check out the rest of his CD. The whole CD has a sound that's hard to describe but I just got hooked on it right away. "Kim" is another awesome song. (He played it live on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show a few days back).
This pre-chorus/into chorus is textbook man. Classic. Great stuff. It really draws you in, powerful. You don't have to necessary like it or like the genre or anything, but if you don't get it - THE HOOK, then maybe stick to something other than music - like sports or knitting or astronomy. Or put that Bieber back on and turn the Raptors game back on, because in the words of Hall & Oates, you're out of touch....
Daniel Carlyle It's such a cliched formula and Ryan milks the hell out of it on this record but it WORKS! I loved this record, nothing fancy or obtuse, just straight up rock. I feel like there isn't enough of that these days.
i don't see this as bad, just not as affective as him doing this with don was or another stripped down version. i don't think this song needs this treatment, it gains more with less.
As good as this performance is, and it is, it's not very rock & roll to be on "Ellen". I'm guessing her audience isn't gonna run out and buy Ryan's latest release.

try listening to the original one. This one's a bit different imo, doesn't have the pause and flow that the song actually hooks you with.
