7 hours standing up in a tree & still able to make the shot. That's endurance right there. Great hunt Slockmaster! God Bless you & the family.
Yeah but it was a rather poor shot, he hit him in the back of the lungs, likely the diaphragm and guts. Far from a clean kill.
@@SilvaDreams wasn’t the most accurate throw by any means but a lung hit of any sorts is good with a spear. Looked like plenty of blood and a quicker kill than many bow hunting channels out there I’ve seen lol. I’d love to see what kind of shots you make every time, let alone with a spear.
@@nra0944 Well yeah it's going to be a quicker kill than a bow, most broad heads are at best maybe an inch wide where as the head on that spear looked to be at least a 3-4 inch head so it's going to open a lot more up.
@@SilvaDreams Please post the video of you making a better shot with a spear 😂
That's encouraging.. 14 solid days wow. I regularly spend 7+ hours in my tree stands. So good to see dividends do get paid out when you put the hours in.
Some could assume you walked out and got him after 2 hours waiting.
Thanks for calibrating our expectation.
guess its the ability to 'wait' that sorts the boys from the men
The spear hunting videos are the reason im subscribed to your channel Tim
more on the way
same
I third that
I know , I love em. Best huntin videos this side of the Pecos.
Tim, your narration is awesome! Your ability to fill dead space in the vids with insight is gold!
It's awesome you're still as stoked over this hunt as the griz that got me started watching your vids when I was a kid. They're all trophies to folks like us and I pity them that lose the feeling or never know it.
I believe this video is one of the best you've made. Hope to see more. Dunno how much time I have left.
I see your not using your usual samburu spear, are your trying to develop and even more efficient killer?
Frog march
Tim is such an inspiration. He brings out the primal desires that are deep down in all of us.
Absolutely legendary!!!
It is I love your channel Josh
Hi josh I love your channel alot
Y’all should team up and do a callab
@@dubsoutdoors1667 Check out bowmar's recent caribou hunt, Tim was along for the ride.
Hey josh
You can't get much more fair chase than that. What a rush! "Deadly Intentions"....I figured you weren't going to get one, with that title....I should have known better. You are the best there is Tim.
This channel is so well-done that I enjoy even the Slock Master commercials.....got to love being able to enjoy this stuff while on hard lockdown "vicarious living". Be well Tim and your folk as well.
the Slock Master strikes again! congratulations Tim, you certainly put in the effort,
4:02 you nailed it, people need to hear that a little more often.
Great Slock and Video Tim 👊🏻👊🏻Loved it as always Brother 👍
Really cool video Tim! Just one more in the books confirming that you are the modern day godfather of Primitive hunting

SO PROUD OF U TIM, I LOVE YA SO MUCH MAN SLOCK OR NO SLOCK THIS CHANNEL BRINGS ME JOY, AND IM GOING THEU A REAL TUF TIME I JUST WANNA SAY THANKS FOR THE GRWAT CONTENT🙏🏽
Hang strong Brinks!
*Perfect time to watch a video on a snow day!*
You are an amazingly patient hunter. I commend you. I notice the spear is different, that one looks lighter.
Tim, you need to get rid of that big, bulky gopro and go with a smaller profile cam like the tactacam. MUCH closer to the spear shift and should cut down on wobble and air resistance.
need the quality picture of go pro
Go pro needs do make a tube style barrel cam.
My brother-in-law is planning on bow hunting, using his hand gun for modern gun, muzzle loader for his triple crown and spear one this year. He told me tax return he's buying a spear. I'm just excited for more meat lol. Awesome video and knowledge drop teaching us, most enjoyable
Beautiful video! Awesome Spearing! Live watching your fams adventures!

Your deadly smile mixed with your honesty and simplicity makes my day man

The only difference between Ancient hunters and Tim Wells is Clothes 🇺🇸❤️ what an American Badass! ✌🏼😎
And these deer are in high fences
@@johndanaeschonberg1718 no they aren’t
@@johndanaeschonberg1718 What? No they aren't, he had to wait more than 1 week for the deer
Is that a native Texas deer? They don't run around on everyone's land. Which is fine, I'm sure it's a big property
@@johndanaeschonberg1718 Well that property must be f(ing) huge for someone to wait more than one week for an animal

Those "hieroglyphics" are reminiscent of early times in hunting. Thanks for sharing them!!!
PETROglyphs...
@@mightyjoeyoung1390 hieroglyphichs is the right word. I'm Greek and that's the word we use, "Ιερογλυφικά"
Great job Tim Congrats! It does not get more primitive than that. I love the symbols on the rocks and that is one of the things that make the Hill Country special.
I met you in upstate NY a few years ago at the NY Bowhunters banquet. We spoke about Texas, Axis and hogs. Enjoy your vids and be safe.
Awesome video Tim
I got a spear for Christmas and was wondering what it takes to hunt a white tail in Texas. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve read I can’t legally hunt a whitetail.
if i were you i would just call your local game warden and verify.
That was absolutely BADASS!!!!!
great shot timmy thank u from the biggest fam of yours true a man of guts
Love it when you throw the spear!!!
14 days of stalking, 7 hours in a tree! Tim Wells you are the MAN!! Truly legendary stay strong&healthy safe&happy!!(=✌💚

Tim I’m surprised you don’t have an oversized mechanical on the end of your spear.
Well, he shoots grimm reapers, so...

Tim, you give "tree hugger" a new meaning. Good hunting...
This is way more impressive than anyone hunting with a rifle. This takes so much skill to pull off! Great catch
Perfect timing to log into YT!! Im watching now!!
Our family favorites dog died yesterday. He was only 1 year and 1 day old. My mom was pulling into out garage, and nobody saw him run in front of the car, and she hit him. He died instantly. We are all sad about it. He was a great dog, and very lovable, funny, goofy, and smart dog. He was sometimes aggressive too. His favorite toy was an old pig towel, and we buried him with it. He almost always slept on my bed. Either on the lower left side of the bed, on my legs, or snuggled up beside me. My whole family is sad, but if you read this, PLEASE pray for my mom. She was the one who loved him the most, and she feels personally guilty for Boomer's death, because she was driving when it happened. I would also greatly appreciate it if you prayed for my little brother, who is only 12, because it was his dog, and he is completely torn to bits about it. He jumped out of the car when he was hit and picked him up, but by then he was already dead. Boomer's blood streamed down him. He is an absolute wreck. I am crying as I am typing this. Please pray for us. God bless you.
That's so sad 😭, I'll sub to you to make you feel better
To much fun Tim, love your videos, stay safe man
I am envious of that tree. Wouldn't mind spending a couple weeks up there myself.
I could feel your heartbeat thru the camera
You are a very artist of hunting. I love your videos.
What pound draw weight do you use for your bow...Tim wells slick master#1 Beast
Yes finally, a spear video
Can we talk about the fact he timed the scream in the credits with his mouth opening. Absolute legend

God bless you brother. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video!!
Tim, are you Goproed camera spears balanced to account for the extra weight of the cam and if they are, it would be cool to show us viewers how you balance your camera spears?
no it makes them awkward but still deadly
Great job Mr wells!!!!
Dudeee....now this is hunting at its best...way to to go tim
Great job and video. Axis deer. Yum! Jess
New subscriber here really enjoying your content . Could you please explain how do I affix a spearhead to a rod? Thank you in advance. Look forward to your response.
Great Throw Tim 👏🏼👏🏼
The camera might be making them feel or hear something. Just a guess though.
wow. possibly
The can likely pick out his scent on the camera and from him walking around in the area so they are nervous. So all it took was a slight bit of sound to make them scatter.
You're my hero tim
Tim is starting to act old. Love the videos, but I do miss the archery videos. Watching Tim shoot a bow never gets old.
You do such a good job at filming.
Actually that really means a lot to me. thankyou
Im assuming this is Texas but what part? East Texas? The rock formations are sick and a crazy spot to be able to hunt
Hey Tim, what cold steel knife do u use to gut and cut up the deer? Awesome slock
Click & Cut
Very good video. How high are you above the ground?
12ish
Epic video my friend!
What happened to the partnership with Cold Steel products ?
I wonder how many times an Indian sat in that same spot on that cliff to do the exact same thing
Probably never
@@SG-ig2th 🤷♂️
It’s a brilliant ambush spot. I have to believe that the Native peoples would have absolutely use the high ground on known travel routes to harvest whitetail deer and other critters.. Seems plausible.
They hunted with spears for several thousand years. Stone points everywhere in Texas. The Indians only used bows the last 1200 years or so.
Awesome!
Finding those old Indian carvings would make the hunt for me!
Now that was a cool video
