I know many people aren't musicians, but are all non-musicians tone-deaf or 'tempo-deaf'? This playing is so clearly far from perfect, yet so many comments below are praising it. I don't mean to spread hate, but I hope people aren't lying to be supportive, because sometimes criticism might be of more help to budding musicians. If the pianist is making mistakes, let him know so that he can improve and learn.
The most liked comment on this video is constructive criticism, and to answer your question, yes most people are tone deaf
@@truz8134 Yeah but I also see so much praise for the music which is confusing to me. Even in that comment with constructive criticism, some guy was saying he didn't need it, which is insane. I didn't know that most people are tone deaf, but I guess that explains alot
This playing doesn’t sound like the original song but it still sounds really good to play. That’s why it’s getting praise.
@@darksole5593 There is a very clear difference between playing a song in your own style vs trying to play the same original song but having it sound different because your rhythm is off. If this is considered good to you, maybe you should go and listen to how the original Pompeii sounds again. Also, don't forget to dig your ears as well.
@@darren992 unnecessary hostility. I also didn’t listen to the piano piece. Instead I just played it so it is possible that I unknowingly compensated for bad rhythm. Also if you don’t know the difference between tone and rhythm, then you can’t call yourself a musician
This cover is pretty solid, but I'll give u some tips to improve
1. Dynamics marking, never let the backing destroy the melody, the melody must be louder than the other backing, or in this case, the bass. U use ur left hand more violently than right hand, just, chill down.
2. The line of the music. "Wdym with the line of the music?" Well, u see, music isn't a straight line, sometimes its slow, sometimes its loud, sometimes its abit up and down, there's ups and downs. What makes a music feels good is because there's a climax, and ur climax is happening too much, and also its hard to differentiate between the climax and the slow part since u just go banging everywhere and didn't do any slow and chilling part. Be gentle to the piano is a word i will suggest.
3. Note length. Ur tempo isn't so much out, so i wont comment anything about that, but the problem is that u just dont care about the length of each note, and break the time signatures rule, which makes it weird to hear at some part such as 0:55 , instead of doing 8 quarter notes and 1 whole notes, u do some weird things there.
Hope this will help!
Ps: i just heard some of ur latest song, its much much much more better. I hope u gonna do a re-cover from this song!
those are actually really good tips bro
Yes good tips except I didn’t see why he needed them. I guess you just have a critics eye
@@thedailydog4358 I guess the mistakes were acceptable for some nonexpert, but I think some of it were obvious enough that I think I needed to point out in order to be a better musician, even tho I could say that this cover is indeed quite good. I myself also has been learning music for several years, I'm not like master at it or something, but I'm just pointing things that were obvious mistakes at my level.
@@thedailydog4358 He obviously needed them. Clearly you don't play any instrument well, since you can't tell that his tempo is off.
haha i keep lying in my bed watching really talented people play piano and thinking "damn, i really should learn to play piano" but i'm too lazy lol
Pls Start to play piano it worth
I’m not crazy about the explicit inclusion, but you are funny. I play piano tho and...don’t tell my mom, I really hate it. Soooo that’s why I like this video bc it’s a song that I love being played really well. So yeah
same

You are so right
Faszinierend wie die Aufrufe schwanken je nach Bekanntheit des Originals
This looks so cool, I'm just starting to learn piano this year, on a electric Yahma. I've been also playing a little bit with a software/app called Soundtrap, but I'd like to know what you use it looks super incredible.
My Equipment is named in the description
This is so good!!!!
I really love your music
Tears are falling from my eyes rn 😅
Well done my friend
I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like you've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
We were caught up and lost in all of our vices
In your pose as the dust settled around us
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?

Oh, where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?

Maybe use a metronome next time to be a bit more on count. Keep it up
Maybe paly bass idk
I am to lazy.
You.are.amazing. How’d you play so well???I can barely even....never mind. Good job!
Really Nice But Work on You`re Dynamics And Tempo Its was All Over The Place As Well As Your Not Durations
This is quite bad ngl the timings off so much on certain parts
Its not bad they just need work
You deserve more subscribers for your performance.😕
Yeah agreed.
This deserves more hypr
Thx you
Love it but it’s just a bit delayed but still love it.
Hello! Nice cover, I’d like to know what software you use to make those lines! I’d like to visualize myself playing like that.
It's all in the description
Great job, keep improving!
PS: Which software do you use to show that effect on the keys you press?
Take a look in the description
( turn on captionss )
thx for the hint
I had it on but thought it was part of the video XD
The subtitles are a bit off but overall spectacular.
The subtitle of "i was left to my own devices" is too short.
Lol
You should've practiced this a bit more before recording. There are some very noticeable timing issues.
Yes but it was still good
@@providence3977 No it wasn't... it would have been barely acceptable if it was a live performance but keep in mind this is a recorded one. This youtuber had many attempts to get one perfect playing of a simple piece. I'm just confused how so many people say this playing is 'so beautiful' and 'brilliant'.
Wow, I have to admit, it's quite relaxing.
