What pisses me off about the last two games this season isn't really the losing, it's how BAD the Vikings looked in the 2nd half of the Lions game, & from the fumble onwards in the Rams game. It just looks like they quit, didn't make adjustments, or improve on ANY-THING. I just watched the Rams fight back and barely lose to the Eagles. *THIS is what fans want! Some fight!!* Not panic followed by collapse, but hanging on even when things aren't going your way. The end of both of those games was EMBARRASSING!

Here’s my end of season rant: I still definitely think of the Vikings as a finesse team. I have been complaining about this since I discovered SKOR North in 2020. Compare recent versions of this team to the 2009 Vikings. That team was definitely not a finesse team and that team definitely could have won a Super Bowl. This Vikings team was probably very fortunate to even have made the playoffs. (Which seems odd since they won 14 games.) The Vikings faced the weak AFC South this year and got kind of lucky in that some of the teams they faced who were supposed to be good definitely weren’t. Exhibit A would have been the Jets. The Vikings need to seriously bulk up their interior offensive line and control games. They also need a serious anchor in the interior of the defensive line. Plus, the team got very lucky in that they only had a few major injuries over the course of the season. If not their lack of depth would have been seriously exposed. They need to draft far, far better or depth will become a huge problem in the next few years.

In 3 out of 4 divisional games the team that had more rushing yards lost. Hot take. The ball moves faster through the air than on the ground. Under KOC Vikes are never gonna be a run heavy team and that’s a good thing. Added benefit is when teams don’t expect it you can have run chunk plays like Akers did who had 7.8 yards per play vs D. Henry 5.2 l

This last weekend shows in spades that the best performance in the playoffs are the teams with solid, multi dimensional QB’s. Everyone knew that any pressure on Goff and he easily faultered. QB’s with any real weaknesses, gets exposed. That was true of Darnold, and why Cousins could never succeed in real competitive games. And I am absolutely looking forward to watching the Vikes next fall, keeping with KOC’s plan. KOC has given our family the most entertaining Vikings games in season 1 and this past season, 13 and 14 wins!

I watched JJ's preseason game highlights on UA-cam ...granted its preseason so take it with a grain of salt. After watching Sam's play this year and his passing attack vs what JJ is going to bring in ..the passing game is in for a massive upgrade. Sam throws a great deep ball no doubt but how many times did he really hit a receiver in stride? The receivers and their catches had as much to do with Sam's numbers because a lot of them were making great adjustments on balls that weren't going to hit them in the hands. His short and mid range game his inaccuracy was even more glaring. Just watch that preseason game vs the Raiders and again ...yes its preseason but take note of the ball placement and how he hits receivers in stride. Get a reliable running game and this offense can truly explode next season.

Hey guys, here's what we learned over the weekend!
The Vikings scored 9 points against the Lions and the Rams for a combined 18 points, just awful!
The Commanders and Eagles scored 45 and 28 for a combined total of 73.
    Really! WTH! 😳
If the Vikings are going to turn this around next season it starts with the HC and the QB!
Then they must address the other elephants in the room.
They are in this order . Center, Guard, Nose Tackle and CB!
This team can no longer put up with Bradbury at Center and the ongoing left or right guard situation.
They also need a big run stuffing interior DL who can plug the gap and then they need a guy who can actually cover man to man and shut it down!
The other thing we learned was just how bad our coaches were out schemed and out smarted.
This can't happen again, for goodness sake. 😮

I have a semi-interesting question that I would love to see explored.... there's this whole narrative right now around KOC's contract that he wants more control over personnel going into his next contract... fair... but how illuminating is the Engram/Resiner debate a part of this? On this show and others, there was a discussion about swapping the two weeks before it happened. I don't remember where I saw it, but I heard something in the grapevine that KOC wanted to make that change earlier, but something... IDK if it's KAM and his staff, the OL coaches, or Wes Phillips, and the O staff who held out that decision. Could this be an example of where this smoke is coming from?

  • @JacobLAChristenson

Hey Macky you just proved why KOC is not a top coach in the NFL. Atleast Ben Johnson adjust and tried to move the ball when his Qb was off. What would KOC do oh yeah nothing absolutely nothing he would grimace on the side line as his Qb gets pummeled. KOC game calling the Wr are still running 15-20yds down the field. Great coaches adapt KOC and Judd exact words KOC is who he is he doesnt change which in game is exactly what he does and when your play calling is not working and you need an adjustment KOC is not your man. Exactly as Judd stated some guys are head coaches and some are coordinators. I think KOC in order to better the team needs to find an Offensive Coordinator. KOC cost us those last two games more then anyone. This weekend shows what happens when a coach has his players prepared and a game plan that works. The Offense especially against the Lions looked like crap not prepared and couldnt even get a TD. Jayden Daniel's wasnt sacked 9 times Macky and he wasnt running for his life. The Vikings Offense Sucked against the Lions and the Rams exploited it. KOC got out coached twice its 2022 all over again one and done. KOC didnt adjust or even try to adjust when his game plan has been figured out. Detroit had KOC offense figured out the defensive coordinator was sitting on the bench relaxing during the game and the Rams exploited it. I'm not saying to fire KOC but if I'm the Wilfs I'd be taking notes.

Expectations for KOC cook up a running game is insanely ignorant. Especially with Kwesi drafting and signing players. Sure it might look great against the Vikings defense and in the pre season. However expect it to fail when they get to the regular season. Spoiler alert bet huge on the Vikings win under next season . It's free money with the Vikings guaranteed to finish near the bottom of the NFL .

@@1230cjones it is not so much a true talent, my friend . Rather it is a willingness to read road signs and not ignore the facts . Most of the Vikings media has convinced Vikings fans to stand behind a cow and expect a nice medium rare steak to fall out the back. Whilst the Vikings fans in reality are getting hit by B*ll Sh*t day after day and year after year . Funny how the Vikings media loves to give Kwesi credit for the 13-4 season in 2022 , where he inherited most of the players, whilst they constantly make excuses for his 2022 draft busts, now that we see how terrible they are. Now I have heard Vikings media calling JJ McCarthy a top 10 NFL QB after he played in part of his first pre season game and was removed from the active roster for the rest of the year. For the record let's look at the stats for Kwesi first round draft busts in the Vikings last playoff lose .
      1. Lewis Cine - not seen on the field as even Kwesi gave up on this failure.
      2. Jordan Addison - 3 catches for 29 yards while receiving the most targets on the Vikings team. Good for a WR4, but not worth a first round draft pick, and this was with the Rams trying to stop Justin Jefferson.
      3. Dallas Turner - he assisted with 1 tackle.
      4. JJ McCarthy - physically unable to perform QB activity.
Now if you want to go deeper into Kwesi drafts, you will only find more failure. The funny thing is that people committed to worshipping Kwesi always comment back what about Ivan Pace ? To which I reply, Yes what about him ? Clearly Kwesi didn't think he was worth a 7th round draft pick .

It’s so hard to take average run yards a game seriously. If your passing game is what helps you win, then who cares how many rushing yards you get? Obviously, you want to be able to run, but that stat alone doesn’t really mean anything. Kind of like defensive total yards against. Literally, the only stat that matters for the defense is how many points you let up per game.

We need to protect our QB a little more, we need to get a great run game going, and we need to use short quick inside passes on short third down conversions. There were so many times that we could have thrown a quick pass over the middle to gain the first down but we decide to throw a weird out route. Now it worked quite a bit but KOCs play calling is weird at times and doesnt make sense.
