There are so many solid players; players I like to listen to. Pyatt and Vlatkovic are the only ones I want to emulate - beyond liking their sound, I think "I should try to sound like this." Pyatt has such a wonderful mix of overtones. Nice compensator (Paxman 33), by the way.
To those people that are wondering, this looks like a Paxman model 33 Compensating double. The extra valve lowers the pitch the correct amount when hand stopping the Bb horn. It's an interesting choice of instrument for an LSO player. I wonder why he didn't buy a full double or even a descant/triple? The F horn is scary and a lot less secure than Bb - maybe that's why.

Thanks very much for upload.
I hope I can play as well as you although i'm only a grade 5 horn player: )
What kind of mouthpiece is he playing on?
I suspect it's a Paxman 4B
What piece is he playing around the 5 minute mark?
He did buy a full double...a paxman 20 which he plays on a regular basis!
Ha ha
Well, shit.
To be honest, I don't like his Till Eulenspiegel
