Go raibh maith agat agus Dia Duit ó hÉireann! Thank You and Hello from Ireland!!! Huge fan of yours, and enjoyed the musicial shout out to Celtic/Irish music. In the mood for "Black Rose" by Thin Lizzy now!
Whole-tone sounds pretty alien, that'd be a good start! Either that, or just "harmonize" everything in minor 2nds, which is gross, but it is sorta cool sometimes 👽
@@MorgothBagluir Wolfheart is a band by Tuomas Saukkonen. I can't tell you much about him, haven't done a lot of research. He basically makes Melodic Death Metal music (in my opinion it's a combination of all the metal genres but with the dominant genre being death metal). Dawn of Solace is also his band. There might be more, I just haven't done enough digging yet. He and I are also born in the same month and just 2 days away from me, as I found out. Basically, I haven't found any song which I do not like by Wolfheart. That makes it one of my favorite bands... and him one of my favorite artists, if not the most. But yeah, there you have it. If you listen to Wolfheart - The Hunt you'll find that song to be very similar to the Irish scale (at least in my opinion. I actually didn't like the Irish scale before and still kinda don't but Wolfheart makes me like it)
Bro, the 15sec video thing is super frustrating at this point lol. Let’s see a whole video on stuff like this...also, I’ve noticed you talk about scales, modes etc but in my 34yrs of experience feel, timing & rhythm are just as if not more important than the notes you play. What makes me think of this specifically with this video you show a brief clip of you playing a chord & the scale but make no mention about how the feel, rhythm & timing are really what makes something sound “Irish” or “thrash” or whatever genre you’re looking to play.
Nail on the head dude, there's only a few notes in the scale but it's how much of yourself you put into those notes that's the only way you'll get it right, you won't find the Celtic vibe on a piece of paper, it's in the blood, 🇨🇮
Maximize the Celtic vibe by leaving out the 6, in this case the B. You end up with the Celtic Hexatonic scale.
I can feel my buzz coming back to me already

Dang, now I am really in the mood for more of this kind of music.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Drop kick Murphy’s or flogging molly
Ship it down to boston or whiskey in a jar, I like the Metallica version but the others are great as well
Sounded a bit like Ensiferum - Lai Lai Hei to me
orthodox celts

ua-cam.com/video/SZsuxyy4zTw/v-deo.html This actually sounds a lot like what Shred was playing here. Same scale maybe?
Why did a case of Guinness just pop up in my room?

Try augmented chords dude 👍
Especially if you use tapping
Allan Holdsworth=alien sounds
I always thought it was pronounced "cell-tic"
The sports team is, but the people are "Kell-tic"
Both ways are correct apparently. I found myself hearing "keltic" more frequently though.
Even Larry Bird himself disapproves of that pronunciation.
Same lol I was surprised when he said Kell-tic
For some reason I hear a little bit of Copperhead Road in there
Master Shredder
That sounds a lot like Greek Cretan music.
Patty O'furniture approves.
Aeolian without the 6 gives a Celtic vibe as well, only a bit moodier.
Which is the same as saying Dorian without the 6, or minor pentatonic with the 2 added in, or major pentatonic with 7 added in or...
@@rhetrochips9471 Yep, that’s all 100% accurate!
What guitar do you use?
How about roman/hellenic sounding scales
Sounds like White Summer/Black Mountain
Kind of sounds like Friends theme song. Lol
Oh yeah, if you know Wolfheart then you're very familiar with that scale.
Ah... Wolfheart.... 😍

Drop D by the sounds of it, though DADGAD would be suitable too.
