Logitech M510 is a simple but quality mouse that functions well. Review and presentation way too long and repetitive. A demonstration of the button functions would have been helpful if the intention was to make a long video.
Exactly. I use this mouse for years and finally I decided that this is wrong that I need to constantly focus on precise target places where I want to click. It's stupid, this kind of things should just work, without those little irritating behaviours.
@@gut6 I've been using it for 5 years and never even noticed the problem with sensor D A man in another review said that it was a bit inconvenient but in some time we would get used to it)) Now I'm thinking about buying this one again or maybe M705... I would not say that left/right scroll buttons quite convenient... Maybe I would not buy a new one but wheel button often double-clicks and it just infuriates me while I'm working in AutoCAD. Also right scroll button has been broken...
Would rather have a real life functional review IE you using the mouse and your opinion on how well it does the tasks photo editing, selecting text using it to draw (designing software) as it is you are basically reading the box to me but that might be what you were aiming for hopefully this is "constructive" criticism Thanks
My real life functional review the next (if you like). Been using it for 5 years by now (for work as well as for games)... Scroll buttons are inconvenient. I wouldn't say that they are really useful due to their inconvenience... One of them was broken long ago. Also wheel button started double clicking after maybe 1-2 years (don't remember exactly, but really soon)... And it really infuriates me while I'm working in AutoCAD because it can accidentally double click while I'm holding the wheel button and moving around my drawing. Double clicking causes zooming out with aligning by drawing limits so I need to find again the place where my viewing has been stopped... Wireless receiver (or rather the mouse transmitter) is not really good. My system unit is at right 2-3 meters behind me in open wooden 19" rack stand. The receiver mostly didn't work when it was plugged to the back side of the unit. When I plugged it to the front side it worked quite well unless there was a cup of tea between the mouse and the receiver (no kidding!). I was forced to use additional USB cable and placed the receiver right under the monitor on my desk... Besides that I would not say anything bad about this device )) Now I mostly work at home (not in the office) and thinking about buying a new mouse because I can't stand this double clicking any more. I just can't decide whether to buy M510 again or to buy M705. I'm just afraid that M705 will turn out worse than M510 (maybe not even by functioning but ergonomics)... especially considering that I also had some problems with my Logitech mouse at the office (some cheap wired model)...

Does it use invisible optics? I'm not a fan of red laser beams.
The off center sensor drives me nuts, that's way reviews online said it was inaccurate.

Have this mouse i found at goodwill. Never noticed the offset sensor until I saw this comment. Works great in Photoshop and CAD.
Exatamente! Eu acabei de comprar um mouse desses e esse sensor deslocado tá me deixando maluco! pqp
does it suffer from ms paint line precision issue like m705 ?
