Thats was first time that i have seen bboy Conni. Respect! He is cool bboy with nice moves, he need to improve his toprock and musicality and he will become a champion!
TBH, i think his musicality is up there (not issei level though). He just needs to improve his flow and pick up the speed. He definitely was entertaining though.

I don't think Connie took 1st. Issei dances much better, his power was more advanced and cleaner, he did more variations, and threw freezes in as well. Match set, plus more. Got it right in my book. Respect to Connie tho
Yeah, Connie was dope but the round overall had no composition and wasn't as difficult compared to Issei's. I can maybe understand by a judge being swayed from the hype of the beat kill in the moment, but I definitely give that to Issei

First round could’ve gone both ways for sure. Conni hit the beats a lil better but Issie is so damn fast and clean on every transition. He’s got the name recognition so the judges are gonna favor his side when it comes down to the wire. That’s happened many times in Issies career when he was up against better known competitors. It’s amazing to see Issie develop some new ammo to his arsenal. Respect to both contestants.
Conni has a few more years to go before he battles guys like Issei.

That is not even a head spin. Head spin uses the top of your head and not using the back of your head which stresses your neck, and yes Roo was the first person to do that. Following your logic Timothy, everyone should be able to copy wingmill, or fe nike freeze, hell might as well copy taisuke criticals. Lets all stop being creative and instead watch youtube videos and bite each other. Its called signature move for a reason and if you're inspired by that move, at least do it with your own style and not biting the whole move set. At this rate, bboy scene will go the same route as rap. It's shit because rappers sound, look and verse the same shitty way. It'll go plain and stale.

I totally agree with you that bboys should strive to be as creative as they can but I think you might be unfair to conni because Roo does it slightly differently (to be accurate he put more stress on his neck and the leg position is different). Also, sorry to contradict again but Taisuke did not invent criticals although he does them very very well
I know taisuke doesn't invent criticals but what I'm saying is how he do it. His transition when doing those move is my real point. What conni is doing right now is basically just combining moves from other people together. Ultimately, all he is is just a gymnast doing other people moves. That is not what bboying is about.

its not only the pace its the energy in general that comes with every step and detail issei does... the dynamics off a set are not determined only by the difficulties off the moves ..in my eyes is conny definitely dope but he doesnt match issei

I'm ok with that Issei was so much more dynamic and his moves are maybe harder than Conni but I prefer when bboy catchs the beat on freezes that's give's your move more impact . I even found Conni 's move more original
