As a series veteran(early 3rd gen BEST GEN don't@me), I LOVE the fact ACVI brought in new fans such as yourself into THE NEST. It helps that it is genuinely one of the best installments of the entire franchise. Welcome, Eightman. Hope you enjoy your stay & don't think too much about existential cyberpunk nightmare & life expectancy measured in COAM. As Walter says: "It's just a job".
I had the same reaction to AC6, I was really nervous that I wasn’t gonna enjoy the gameplay, but when the PCA helicopter swooped in and that boss started, I was ecstatic. I enjoyed every second of the game, the story had so much clear effort and love put into it, and I loved spending time playing with different builds and messing around with paints and decals. Great game, my personal choice for game of the year. Still need to try BG3, the reviews are insane so I gotta play it before I can just say AC6 is goty
Can’t believe AC6 clicked the way it did because it really looks like a overly complicated super intimidating game to learn but it really wasn’t bad at all
@@Sci-FiKai I know, I was so surprised when the controls felt like a standard shooter. The game is just so much fun, I really can’t wait to see what FromSoft does with the series next!
People need to stop sleeping on Armored Core VI, some are saying that the story isn't good and hating on the music. But this game is really so good and is easily my GOTY, and is now my favorite game of all time. I love every song, every encounter, it's all done so perfectly.
AC6 really blew everyone away. AC fans knew they will get solid mech game but even they were surprised how good it was and non AC players got really frigging amazing mech game showing them whole new genre to enjoy. FromSoft really is gods gift to gamers
I’ve never liked Gundam stuff, or Macross for that matter, but Armored Core is IT for me. I’ve grown up on Mechwarrior and I guess AC just kinda bridges the gap between western and eastern mechs for me so I can appreciate both at once. I do wish there were some mecha animes that had AC design themes, the closest we have is like…Patlabor? Or Ghost in the Shell spiderbots? Obsolete?
You seem to like the more grounded gritty mech design instead of the over the top Gundam/anime mech design. I like both but my favorite is a mix of the two. That’s why Steel Haze Ortus is my favorite AC. It’s still more grounded and fits within the gritty world of AC but it’s got some over the top sci-fi / Gundam escapes design elements
Been playing every single day since launch day. Obviously finished all endings and now I am practicing and honing my skills with different builds and preparing for PVP which I haven't tried it yet at all. Change the build and you get a DIFFERENT gameplay. Amazing game.
The last game I've played of AC franchise was Last Raven, years ago. It was one of the most fun, and hard, gaming experience I've ever had. Maybe someday I will go back into the franchise with AC6. Good video.
Yeah, I bought this when it first came out because for years I’d been waiting for a new AC game. Unfortunately, I didn’t get into because BG3 had been my obsession since release on ps5. Anyway, recently I took a break from BG3, and decided to finally give AC6 a try. I’m so happy with how well this game came out. I played the original game when it released on PS1, and to see how much it’s improved since then was a great treat. I love the speed, the responsiveness of controls, the weapons. I’m glad From brought this series back and I can’t wait to see where they take it.
I put this game down after my first ending to work on my backlog, and never had a game so occupied my mind to where I still wanted to play after beating it. It’s my first AC game and I love it…too bad not many will pick it up.
I have a build thats similar to steel haze, its wonderful. Alba head, Nacht core, Nacht arms, Nacht legs, Allula booster, Wlt fcs, Vp-20c/Ve-20c possibly even vp-20D, RH-veinto, RS-three cell plasma, LH-Moonlight, LS-Ransetsu RF.
It’s like you’re in my head saying my exact thoughts and feelings on AC VI. Great video. Got yourself a new subscriber. FromSoft has a long track record of delivering true “masterpieces” and this game is just that, a masterpiece. It lives in my head rent free as well and honestly I probably watch more YT videos pertaining to AC VI then actually playing it. I’m constantly watching YT videos on lore, game mechanics, hour long videos on the various build types, weapon load outs, the math behind weapon damage multipliers etc…it’s just really fascinating. Very happy AC VI had the mainstream success it has b/c that means we should continue to get more AC. Hopefully Yamamura gets more game directing roles moving forward for not only new AC games/expansions but also new upcoming releases. FromSoft is the best studio on the planet and it’s really even close. What they’re able to accomplish is truly remarkable. Year after year, banger after banger. Their love and passion for making video games is on full display in every one of their titles. Love is the secret ingredient in any food that you make and FromSoft knows how to cook!! In today’s day and age, with more studios going live service and monetization, FromSoft does not. They got robbed. GOTY for me.
I know the feeling. This game quickly became one of my favorite games of all time and I wasn't even done my first playthrough at the time. After finding every combat log and platinuming it on the PS5, I just wanted more. I almost have half a mind to buy the PS4 version just to do it all over again. Seriously, I wouldn't mind if FromSoft adds more missions for a Balem or Arquebus route.
@@Sci-FiKai imagine the remake of AC4/FA got popularity.... hence Geoff didnt liked it a long time ago, since resident evil 4 remake got nominated and it would be funny if it were directed by the same director of AC4 which is Miyazaki
Ac6 got snubbed at the game awards. There's evidence out there that Geoff Keighley is biased against Mecha games. I'm not saying it should've swept or won move awards, but it definitely deserved more nominations.
I know it only won one award, but out of every game to come out this year, AC6 is my game of the year. Which is wild cuz this isn’t even my top 5 favorite AC games. Armored Core as a franchise is so special to me and 6, while not being exactly what I wanted, is still leaps and bounds better than any other game I’ve played so far (I have not played BG3 yet)
I fell in love at first when I discovered this franchise. Armored Core 6 is my male fantasy made reality. I really was waiting for a modern mecha game.
Yeah laser blade is cool but you know something cooler? Pilebunker! That dopamine rush after deleting 3/4 of enemy AP or just straight up kill em feels so good
@@Sci-FiKai why not both? I went through most of the game with pulse sword and pile bunker on the left. Laser Pistol and Shotgun on the right. Pistol was for the mooks, swap between Sword and Pile each use to keep a melee option available. Shotgun came out when the big guys needed some extra oomph.
I feel 100% the same way about AC6, though I have only recently got my NG++ ending done. Also I applaud the all S rank missions. Some are so annoying I have 0 desire to play again. Mainly the Fire of Raven end boss.
Since Demon's Souls, huh? Since King's Field for me. But yeah, I haven't been seriously playing AC6 in months, but I too keep thinking about it. The True Ending really hit me good and got my fanfic writing urges going, but I have been resisting because I want to wait and see if they release an immediate sequel, which FromSoft tends to do with their AC games.
Well not since Demon Souls lol. I became a fan with Bloodborne but I’ve played every From game from Demon Souls until now and love all of them. And I hope that’s the case because I’d imagine AC6 took much less money and development time then their standard souls games
A lot of people can't handle Armored Core. So many people complained about how hard it is, so I knew it wasn't getting Game of the Year. I'm surprised it got Action Game of the Year, which pleased me greatly.
I don't understand how a niche game like Baldur's fart 3 can win GOTY and an arcade relatevely easy Mech game made by the same ppl who made ELDEN RING can't even be nominated.
It's a beautiful story that takes place in a bleak, albeit realistic, future where corporations held more power than the governments and it led to the exploitation of billions of people. It also touches on the future of AI, which is more relevant today than ever. Every AC game has the setting of a corporate-run future where we focus on production, war, and selfishness; where there is little to no hope of moving up the caste system while it's also extremely easy to lose your place if you are higher on that caste. It's a direct commentary on the state of the world, or at the very least, Japan and the U.S.'s economic states where life is slowly being pushed into the background and there is more focus on working for a pittance because that's what the masters have decided to pay. Also the over working of employees for little to no extra pay is relevant as wages have stagnated in the U.S. but people are still working mandatory overtime which still just barely pays the bills. When you factor in emergency purchases like, ah, shit, Healthcare in the U.S. or vehicle repair, which is important for those who live in rural areas, you realize that just about everything since the 80s has been meticulously designed to take as much of your money as possible while giving you the least amount of value they possibly can. Not only that, but they are very much okay with exploiting the economic state for things like experimental research on people who really need the cash, or organ "donations". I think as a society we are starting to wake up to the rat race they've created and put us in. For so long people coped with their vices, or religion, or just saying, "That's how it is." It's getting a lot harder to do that now, especially when the ultra wealthy flaunt so flamboyantly their excessive wealth on social media and tell everyone else to work hard while they've sat in their daddy's chair their whole life and "ran" a business and played the stock market without doing a lick of genuine hard work.
I'm glad AC6 won you over. I hope you played through all three story paths and got all the logs - the lore unfolds through the collecting of scraps, as in Souls games. AC6 was greatly simplified to draw in new Fromsoft fans who love Souls and soulslikes. If you are up for a challenge, try the older titles. They're full of lore and spirit. The original control scheme allows for much more precise movement, though mastering it is a learning curve.
with bandai's ceo saying that he was surprised at how well armored core sold his statements about continuing the series gives me a lot of hope for the future of the franchise. i know from soft made this game as a love letter to the fans and has been saying that it would depend on how successful this game would be and that would determine if they would make sequels and/or dlc's. with bandai's backing i hope from soft answers with continuing on with the franchise on their end of the table.

Ah, Eight productions video, nice. So: 1) I disagree, ac games before 5th gen run very well on emulators. I personally don't think I will go further than 3rd gen, but I you want to, nothing is stopping you. Do you think you will try 4 and 4a? 2) Ac6 UI is pretty good and clean really. I think you should see monster hunter rise to understand the difference. 3) What do you think about new parts coming semi-soon? I'm feeling good about it. Maybe 10-15 more sets of weapons and frame parts and I will be satisfied. 4) I would like to fight you in multiplayer. Did/do you play multiplayer? 5) Yeah, nice vid. Respect for being part of the laser staff gang.
Yeah that’s the main thing. I was looking at the more recent games to start with and RPCS3’s compatibility list always says they don’t run well Also agreed. I’ve played Rise. I’m not saying AC6’s U.I is bad, quite the contrary. However to someone new to mech games and AC, it’s appears intimidating. I might, once I get motivation to setup the emulator and go through all of that lol. I haven’t played AC6 in awhile (played a little today just for footage) probably gonna wait to fully return to it when they drop that update with new parts that got leaked.
Recently got to the final ending of the game and am currently scavenging for those hidden parts/battle logs however despite everything I've fought those death wheels (if ya know ya know) scare me
NGL, as I was playing through Souls/BB/ER, I often felt like I was caught in animation lock or hitbox of enemy attack was in a wrong position, or enemy had a BS move where I was asking - “How the hell is this even “fair”?” In AC6 it actually clicked with me and even as I was initially struggling with Balteus, I just felt that it was more of my fault- not reacting in time, rather than game’s fault not telegraphing attack patterns to me clearly.
Yeah animation lock is a massive thing in Souls games. When you attack you really are dedicated to it which makes you have to be careful about when you attack. Balteus is an amazing boss though one thing I don’t like is I wish their was a way to no damage him. You’ll always get clipped by at least one missle since there’s so many of them
Unfortunately there's some kind of publisher and licensing nonsense that would probably hold most of the games back from being rereleased, but they could probably do Gen 5. Which is also actually the one that would benefit the most from a rerelease, it's the hardest one to emulate and has a lot of multiplayer content. I would also like the rest of the series to come to PC and modern consoles, but I don't think it's very likely.
That would be so dope, something like the Metal Gear bundle that dropped recently. Luckily most of the older titles are still aviable and not that hard to find
I'm so glad Fromsoftware didn't go open world with AC6. I love Dark Souls and Elden Ring but after playing Elden Ring for the first time it lost its charm. I prefer the linear level design of classic Fromsoftware. The reason for prefering linear/mission style is its more fun to speed run.
dont forget.... theres another game with abreviation of AC that largely didnt change.... besides THAT 1 entry which has been deleted from the annals of the internet and its "sister" game PW I warn though playing PW may make you color blind to a certain color
I got Platinum for the game last November and I still don't know what to fill the void it left with tbh. I want to try AC4A but My dinky-ass laptop isn't strong enough to emulate PS3 games. It's a shame, I used to have a PS3 but had to sell it years ago.
I actually thought about rebuying a ps3 just for older games lol. I can emulate most of them but ngl I want the trophies on my PS account and a lot of them aren’t running on emulator yet
A Robot Mech Shooter Action Adventures Game Play By Chapters and Mission not an Open World Game It can be a Very Hard Game if you don’t know what your doing Equipment to the Robot Mech to enter the Battle against a strong Hard Boss In the Game.
I actually don't think it should have won best action game, don't get me wrong, it's a phenominal game and my second favorate of the year, the issue is that my favorate game was Ramnant 2, and I would have rather that won it, everyone already knows fromsoft is great, but Gunfire games didn't get any spotlight and they deserved it for the game they made, it honestly wasn't fair that both games only got one mention and were pitted against eachother in the same category.
Speaking of mecha famd if you would like to try another id recommend New Gundam Breakers it pretty fun your able to replay campaign missions and collect gundam part and stuff and there is in game market for you to buy gundam parts for new gundam as long as you get one piece of what gundam or mass produced model your able to purchase to complete model kits n whatnot
I’ve thought about it but not sure, just because I don’t know much about Gundam as a series since I’ve never finished one of the anime and playing a game from a franchise that I’ve never seen the shows always feels so weird
@@Sci-FiKai Well with this game i can confidentially say that you don't need to watch any of the animes but I can understand what you mean though your basically going in blind but I do suggest that you try atleast
i play the older game from gen 1 to gen 3, and the emulator have a great feature where you can push the graphic to be better. but its limited to their console type for example the ps 2 game for gen 2 and gen 3 can get the graphic push to 1440p but more than that it will glitch a bit. for gen 4 and 5 on ps 3 i dont recomend it because im not sure if it safe because ps 3 have average spec for normal gaming pc or laptop and pushing the graphic might cause overheat, but i never done on ps 3 emu so if you have did it please reply my comment and your experience.
Yeah I was trying to play gen 4 or 5 games and the RPCS3 emulator comparability list says they either didn’t work at all or were super buggy unfortunately

Been my favorite series ever since the 1st one on the PS1. It feels amazing that it made a big return and gained so many new fans. Lets go Ravens 💪
People need to stop sleeping on Armored Core VI, some are saying that the story isn't good and hating on the music. But this game is really so good and is easily my GOTY, and is now my favorite game of all time. I love every song, every encounter, it's all done so perfectly.
Armored core is my game of the year
AC6 really blew everyone away. AC fans knew they will get solid mech game but even they were surprised how good it was and non AC players got really frigging amazing mech game showing them whole new genre to enjoy. FromSoft really is gods gift to gamers
It’s crazy how they basically are the reason 2 super niche genres are hitting the mainstream and one of those genres they CREATED
Man you gonna love "mecha break" once its out😌
I don’t think I’ve heard that name before I’ll have to look it up 👀
Fromsoft always deliver
They refuse to miss 🔥
A true masterpiece 👌
Need them today to drop that update with new parts 👀
@@Sci-FiKai real.. Regular balance patches and now straight up adding new shit.. Fromsoft are the fucking heroes of the gaming industry icl
i'm hoping they remaster the 4th and 5th gen AC games. 4, For Answer, 5, and Verdict Day were all great games
Been playing every single day since launch day. Obviously finished all endings and now I am practicing and honing my skills with different builds and preparing for PVP which I haven't tried it yet at all. Change the build and you get a DIFFERENT gameplay. Amazing game.
I was honestly thinking about how i couldn't stop thinking about Armored Core
The matrix is breaking
@EightUltra Too true, every day. Reply made my day thanks 😂
Alba head,
Nacht core,
Nacht arms,
Nacht legs,
Allula booster,
Wlt fcs,
Vp-20c/Ve-20c possibly even vp-20D,
RH-veinto,
RS-three cell plasma,
LH-Moonlight,
LS-Ransetsu RF.
Assault armor.
It's definitely a build that grows with the pilots skills, a constantly evolving jack of all.
Maybe one day FromSoft will consider remastering or porting the old AC titles. I know I'd buy em. Theyre all just incredibly fun
I’d buy them as well that’s some easy money they could make because they have a bunch of new AC fans
Here's to hopefully they could one day remake AC series
Or damn at least remaster and port them to current gen and steam 😭
@@Sci-FiKai imagine the remake of AC4/FA got popularity.... hence Geoff didnt liked it a long time ago, since resident evil 4 remake got nominated and it would be funny if it were directed by the same director of AC4 which is Miyazaki
Ac6 got snubbed at the game awards. There's evidence out there that Geoff Keighley is biased against Mecha games.
I'm not saying it should've swept or won move awards, but it definitely deserved more nominations.
i threatened my friends at gunpoint to buy armored core 6. (i am sane.)
I mean you gotta do what you gotta do bro 🤷
I know it only won one award, but out of every game to come out this year, AC6 is my game of the year. Which is wild cuz this isn’t even my top 5 favorite AC games. Armored Core as a franchise is so special to me and 6, while not being exactly what I wanted, is still leaps and bounds better than any other game I’ve played so far (I have not played BG3 yet)
Even after I platinum the game every day I think about playing it. The movement feels so good.
Armored Core VI is still _MY_ Game of the Year.
From Software really is that developer huh.
Why don’t they ever miss
The melee is the laser slicer btw
one of fromsofts best
No doubt 🔥
I just want the model kits, man. 😊
I just want them to gives us figures because I’m to impatient to build models 😭
@@Sci-FiKai I think there is an Ayre"s Sol unit figure going to be released next year from Bandai's Robot Spirits line.
I fell in love at first when I discovered this franchise. Armored Core 6 is my male fantasy made reality. I really was waiting for a modern mecha game.
Welcome to the fold raven
I'm so happy you enjoyed this game! I can't wait for the next installment in the series.
Yeah laser blade is cool but you know something cooler? Pilebunker! That dopamine rush after deleting 3/4 of enemy AP or just straight up kill em feels so good
Pilebunler is goated it’s so strong but LASER SWORD GO BRR
Armored Core 6 is a modern gaming masterpiece.
A lot of people can't handle Armored Core. So many people complained about how hard it is, so I knew it wasn't getting Game of the Year. I'm surprised it got Action Game of the Year, which pleased me greatly.
armored core definitely feels like a playstation time capsule! i love it!
I don't understand how a niche game like Baldur's fart 3 can win GOTY and an arcade relatevely easy Mech game made by the same ppl who made ELDEN RING can't even be nominated.
My favorite game of the year easily
We need more new parts, missions, game modes, or dlc/expansions, and this good game really deserves all of them to be better.
I think I just saw a leak or something on twitter that said an update for ac6 is planned with new parts and weapons
@@Sci-FiKai yea I saw it, 1.05 right?
But, not enough nar
AC6 was incredibly great,
but mate…. Elden Ring lived up to the high expectations people had for it (must get props for that too)🎉
Was so excited when ER won GOTY that was a legendary moment
Beat the game 3 times on Xbox sold my Xbox got a nzxt gaming pc will be buying armored core 6 again can’t wait too see how beautiful it looks on my pc
Ac6 MAY be getting dlc in patch 1.05 if anybody intends to hop back into it.
I speak for all of us when I say we will be hopping back on 🙏
@@Sci-FiKai noice!
with bandai's ceo saying that he was surprised at how well armored core sold his statements about continuing the series gives me a lot of hope for the future of the franchise. i know from soft made this game as a love letter to the fans and has been saying that it would depend on how successful this game would be and that would determine if they would make sequels and/or dlc's. with bandai's backing i hope from soft answers with continuing on with the franchise on their end of the table.
We’re definitely getting a sequel especially since AC6 compared to their souls games was way cheaper, easier and faster to develop.
"This guy's just like me! Hes just like m!!! Fr fr!"
Lol but srsly, the first half of the video was my entire fromsoft and mech gente experience. Never found a mech game worth a damn till AC6 Either. dude read my damn mind on this game and made it into a whole ass video. Nice quality overall too my dude, subbed.
I love this comment and thank you about the quality because this video was super lazy 😭
ANYTIME I PUT EFFORT INTO A VIDEO YT DOESN’T CARE PUT I THROW OUT A LOW EFFORT 5 MIN VOD AND IT THROWS IT INTO THE ALGORITHM 😭
Only bad thing about AC6 is that when you play other games you think "I wish I had my own customised AC with this..."
Ah, Eight productions video, nice.
So:
1) I disagree, ac games before 5th gen run very well on emulators.
I was looking at the more recent games to start with and RPCS3’s compatibility list always says they don’t run well
Also agreed.
Idk y but man i love the shoulder weapons they so cool lol
If any of you wanna run armored core 4 answer on rpcs3 i can share my settings so it’ll look and run better
PS4 PS5 Xbox Series X Armored Core VI 6 Fires of Rubicon From Software Bandai Namco Games.
It's so good that AC6 actually succeeded, because if this revival wasn't a banger, goodbye to AC forever.
And I’m sure From knew that as well
Recently got to the final ending of the game and am currently scavenging for those hidden parts/battle logs however despite everything I've fought those death wheels (if ya know ya know) scare me
NGL, as I was playing through Souls/BB/ER, I often felt like I was caught in animation lock or hitbox of enemy attack was in a wrong position, or enemy had a BS move where I was asking - “How the hell is this even “fair”?”
In AC6 it actually clicked with me and even as I was initially struggling with Balteus, I just felt that it was more of my fault- not reacting in time, rather than game’s fault not telegraphing attack patterns to me clearly.
Yeah animation lock is a massive thing in Souls games. When you attack you really are dedicated to it which makes you have to be careful about when you attack.
Balteus is an amazing boss though one thing I don’t like is I wish their was a way to no damage him. You’ll always get clipped by at least one missle since there’s so many of them
The video caption is literally me
Real and true bro
I have a feeling they will do like a verdict day or for answer type of this with ac6. I hope they do.
Never played an AC game or even a Mech game? Well, just like C4-621 the tourists work out well! Welcome to the genre!
I’m all in now 🙏
It is a damn cool game, started myself just a few days ago
So glad you’re loving it man 🙏
@@Sci-FiKai Yeah, I got a bit tired of regular old games, but this was just so damn awesome!
Id love to see a re-release of the first 15 ac games in a massive bundle.
With modern graphics if they did that I’d drop a 100$ and buy it. Still got some of the older games.
Meanwhile
MECH BREAK enter the battle field
I gotta take a look at that people are hyping it up 👀
Armored Core 6 is actually quite similar to ULTRAKILL in a lot of ways.
Which I still gotta play it looks so good
New to mech games? Imagine "Pimp my ride" but with giant robots.
dont forget.... theres another game with abreviation of AC that largely didnt change.... besides THAT 1 entry which has been deleted from the annals of the internet and its "sister" game PW I warn though playing PW may make you color blind to a certain color
Me too and did you know armored core 6 is about alchemy
Alchemy??? 🗿

Only Fromsoft game that’s fun to plat too 🤷♂️
I wish I had been able to get into the pvp
The PVP is pretty fun but I’ve always been more of a PVE type of guy usually
I actually don't think it should have won best action game, don't get me wrong, it's a phenominal game and my second favorate of the year, the issue is that my favorate game was Ramnant 2, and I would have rather that won it, everyone already knows fromsoft is great, but Gunfire games didn't get any spotlight and they deserved it for the game they made, it honestly wasn't fair that both games only got one mention and were pitted against eachother in the same category.
play it again, but with mods (though there are only 2 outstanding ones so far)👍
AC6 was snubbed hard by the game awards. Same with Hogwarts if you use the “popularity” excuse
i play the older game from gen 1 to gen 3, and the emulator have a great feature where you can push the graphic to be better. but its limited to their console type for example the ps 2 game for gen 2 and gen 3 can get the graphic push to 1440p but more than that it will glitch a bit.
for gen 4 and 5 on ps 3 i dont recomend it because im not sure if it safe because ps 3 have average spec for normal gaming pc or laptop and pushing the graphic might cause overheat, but i never done on ps 3 emu so if you have did it please reply my comment and your experience.
Yeah I was trying to play gen 4 or 5 games and the RPCS3 emulator comparability list says they either didn’t work at all or were super buggy unfortunately
