Congrats to the winners and thanks Roy and Ralfy and the entire team that put these awards together for the fourth year in a row. Already looking forward to the next one.
Congrats to all the winners, nominees, and people's choice! Big thank you to Ralfy, Roy, and all the online content creators who make whisky culture phenomenal!
Another great OSWAs Roy and Ralfy! Big thanks to Rob and Chuck for everything they do in the background! Congrats to all the winners and nominees! Cheers!
Love the awards...I've forwarded this to at least 5 others to educate. Many many scotch lovers need to view. Great job!!! Great integrity!!!! Worth watching!!! THANKS❤
Watched it on catch up at 6am post flight. Congratulations to all the winners and a shoutout to the sister distilleries of Bunnahabhain, Deanston and Tobermory for making waves. Massive thank you to and , the team at OSWAs, the contributors and the whisky community! An award show for us by us, here's to OSWAs 2025
Another great show with some tremendous picks. Well done to Roy, Ralfy and all the others involved. These awards are probably the most meaningful to the distillers.
I was honored to participate with my vote and I appreciate seeing the peoples choice options so I know what to look for to expand my knowledge…..thank you all.
Brilliant award ceremony! Well done for organising and well done to everyone nominated and involved. Great content as always and greatly appreciated by myself and many others I presume.
Another fantastic OSWA award ceremony in the books! Congrats to all the winners. Well deserved! Thanks again for having me as a contributor. I’m honored to part of this amazing, enthusiast centered project. And thanks the Roy and Ralfy for spearheading the OSWAs and presenting. Cheers!
Great awards this year....AGAIN. Congrats to all the winners. There are a few bottles I havent seeen yet in Canada in the nominations, but 95% have been here. I consider myself lucky to have 7 of the last 10 bottles listed in the peoples choice awards for best whisky of the year. The Bruichladdich 18 only came out this year and I havent seen it in the shops. The Springbank and Bunnahabhain 12 year olds cask strength bottles, I have only seen in lotteries for the last 4 years and havent been lucky enough to win one of them yet....but keeping my fingers crossed for this year! Cheers and well done Roy and Ralfy!
I missed the live away on holiday so managed to watch on replay. Fantastic award show again, congrats to Roy & Ralfy and the team behind them for their commitment and congrats to the winners. Just an opinion but 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place recognition would be good to see
Nice to see Jon, the Whiskey Neighbour on the awards. Living in the province of Quebec, he is my Canadian guy for whiskey and a good one to that effect. Cheers to all and congrats to all the winners. we all benefit from these awards.
Sorry we were only in live for the first 3/4 of an hour, family commitments took us away but enjoyed catching up on the replay! Congrats to the winners, especially Ardnamurchan and those heroes at Bunnahabhain! 👏 Congrats to ralfy and roy for another successful OSWAs
Cheers to all! Thank you for all of the work to put this together. More than that, thank you for getting the community together to show our collective appreciation
I almost checked out before I saw my friend Jim at the end! And he made an arse of it too! :). Three and a half hours well spent, fellas. Well, well done. Bring on 2025!
Congrats to all involved in putting this together and congrats to all the winners. Not one mention of Ardbeg either. Hopefully they are getting the message. Cheers
So grateful to have awards that have integrity and full transparency. I will be basing my next purchases on these awards, since I can trust the results.
Bruichladdich deserves some recognition - they got my people's choice vote, as Ralphy says, for the PC10 which is the best 10yr old Scotch on the market. Yes, better than the Springbank 10.
You just have to look at Scotch whisky auction in Glasgow. On average, they have 7000 bottles on their auction every month and bottles from ever distillery. And on average there is about 500 different Springbank core bottles each month from the 10 year old right up to the 32 year old and everything in-between including numerous independent bottlings.
@parsnipfingers I honestly don't know? But I think it's people who have access to buying more bottles ,maybe shops keeping their allocation and putting them into auction hoping for a profit. Or maybe the auction house gets so many bottles?
They don't have the non malt catagory properly defined yet so no reason to jump to catagorizing it further. The presentation states "Category open to all grains EXCLUDING malt" That sentence just excluded all the whiskey's presented because whiskeys mentioned contain malted barley, almost every fermentation begins with barely malt because it ferments well. Sure, they're not malt dominant but the verbiage stats "excluding malt" which they most certainly do contain so that needs corrected.
@@jasonpetch1449 yes, they later mentioned that, but it is still strange, in some pies the non-voters were included in a separate pie, which is much more transparent.
Caught up early morning ROK time - some expected wins but quite a few surprises here! Time to look for a certain 12YO CS…. Well done fellow contributors and especially everyone who voted!! Cheers Roy and Ralfy. 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
Damn. I missed it. :( Nice show you have there! And of course it would be a shame if something happened to it. :D Sadly I am slightly cruising away from the Scotch world, because the value of the drams available in my region (Czechia) is just not there. Most of the drams I liked are getting worse (worse casks) and more expensive. The excitement is gone. I am buying mostly the same bottles which I know are still good. And I am also spending less by buying Irish (Jameson Black Barrel, Connemara), Rye for summer mixing with soda (mostly Jack Daniels Rye because of the price to performance ratio) and even local Czech drams (Gold Cock is good for its price - especially the Peated version). Ever inflatable management is just killing the scotch industry a bit. Brand is exciting. While what is in the bottle is getting... bland.
The presentation is great but the choices feel very repetitive and I wouldn't buy any of them after having tried some of them. Can't imagine this being interesting to anyone other than total beginners
I just can't get on with all this hoopla on Craigellekie and Arran. I bought both the 13 and 12 YR bottlings in the late twenty teens, they were being pushed back then, they freaking sucked. Glen Garioch, rich on the pallete, baking spice, high proof offereings are standard, now that's a whisky.
and another thing, Im drinking a freshly cracked bottle Laphroiag 10 Cask ST Batch 16, damn good scotch but uh ... when did Laphroaig become a Speyside? Where's the Peat?!?!?
Good job lads. Returned to Scotch recently and this is extremely interesting and insightful to get a snapshot of the annual landscape of this category. Congrats.
Another successful show! Congrats to all involved, from the organizers to the voters. Cheers all! 🥃
SAME DAMN BORING WHISKYS. Get rid of the nominating committee.
A brilliant OSWA again and great reflection of the Whisky community. I am all out of puns but cheers to the OSWA team
@@JeffWhisky out of puns? Ooh slap! Better rectifier that, or the pun gods will condense you
Are you sure you couldn't BUNG in another?
The amount of work that must go in to this is very much appreciated! Well done to Ralfy and Roy and the team!
Congrats to the winners and thanks Roy and Ralfy and the entire team that put these awards together for the fourth year in a row. Already looking forward to the next one.
The OSWAS are an integrity presentation!
Great job from all involved. The wee gremlin at the end only adds to the charm and honesty.
Wonderfully presented!!
Brilliant show guys. Me and the wife have enjoyed it so much. Well done to all x
Cheers!
Thank you Roy, Ralfy ,everyone behind the scenes and everyone involved in putting this together. An enjoyable livestream as well. Slàinte to you all.
Many thanks to all the team.
Congratulations to all the winners, and massive thx to the Roy and Ralfy for the organization of this superb annual evening!
Love the awards...I've forwarded this to at least 5 others to educate. Many many scotch lovers need to view. Great job!!! Great integrity!!!! Worth watching!!! THANKS❤
The OSWA’s get better every year. Great job guys. There really is a lot of great whiskey out there.

Great awards show. Thank you to all involved! Now I get to start planning my whisky club’s OSWA winner tasting in February.
Such a great initiative. Watched the whole extravaganza from Australia. Thank you both.
So much fun to watch and it's also so infomative. Love it. Thanks to you all!!
Really fantastic. The best whisky awards by far!
Brilliant award ceremony! Well done for organising and well done to everyone nominated and involved. Great content as always and greatly appreciated by myself and many others I presume.

Late Dr. Swan was also a major adviser for the success of Ka va LAN in Taiwan. Thanks 🙏
Great jobs gents! Learned a lot, and look forward to next year!
Great event as always! Really nice to see the people behind the whixkies as well!
Well done team!!!
Thanks for doing this guys, a great achievement👌👌

I love the OSWA's, and I feel honored and lucky to be part of the OSWA community from Christchurch, New Zealand ❤

Fantastic initiative as usual! Thanks SO MUCH! 🙂

Awesome presentation and congratulations to all the nominees and winners
Thanks for all your hard work - greatly appreciated!! Minnesota, USA
So grateful to have awards that have integrity and full transparency. I will be basing my next purchases on these awards, since I can trust the results.
Ardnahoe: worm tubs, peat, Jim McEwan = relevant to my interests.
Brilliant stuff guys 👌🏻
The only whisky awards I pay attention to. Well put together and interesting to see how the nominees and winners evolve over time.
Really wish Glengyle was working all year round… we might have a chance of seeing it in the US at a decent price if that was the case.
I've got a few of these but had to pay extra living in Australia but all worth it for great drams.
Next year I'll be voting too
Wonderful
Bruichladdich deserves some recognition - they got my people's choice vote, as Ralphy says, for the PC10 which is the best 10yr old Scotch on the market. Yes, better than the Springbank 10.
Another Signatory 100 proof series!🙏
i had to watch it in 3 parts but R&R the cockup at the end just ads to to fun guy,s
in short ,,, brilliant as usual
hrumph...a touch of the sticky trembles indeed
Campbeltown Loch is Fantastic, if you can find it here in the US.
OSWA nominations traveled by ocean currents to New Zealand, 12 months later...
For some reason I was expecting a quiz at the end ;)
I'd be interested to know how many bottles of these Springbank whiskies are sold and who's buying them.
Does it go straight from the distillery to the auction house?
@parsnipfingers I honestly don't know? But I think it's people who have access to buying more bottles ,maybe shops keeping their allocation and putting them into auction hoping for a profit. Or maybe the auction house gets so many bottles?
Hi, I just questioned myself, 4444 votes in the oswa and around 18000 views with the video...! Were people shy??
Number of votes is telling a lot.
is it worth breaking the non malt category into 2 or 3 different categories - or you do best Irish, best american & best non-malt grain?
They don't have the non malt catagory properly defined yet so no reason to jump to catagorizing it further. The presentation states "Category open to all grains EXCLUDING malt" That sentence just excluded all the whiskey's presented because whiskeys mentioned contain malted barley, almost every fermentation begins with barely malt because it ferments well. The pie chart for Best Blended is incorrect, both leaders have above 25%, but their pie is less than a quarter.
Same with Best Distillery, Best New
I think it's because the %s are 'of those who voted', but the pie slices include those of the 4,444 who didn't vote...
@@jasonpetch1449 yes, they later mentioned that, but it is still strange, in some pies the non-voters were included in a separate pie, which is much more transparent.

Thats an Oscars awards level mess up at the end there hahahahaha
BERTA!
But wait, why was there only 1 Diageo, 0 pernard ricard, 0 Moet hennesy and 0 edrington??? Maybe this is a sign?
Ralfy conveniently shows up at 9:11.
Damn. I missed it. :( Nice show you have there! And of course it would be a shame if something happened to it. :D Sadly I am slightly cruising away from the Scotch world, because the value of the drams available in my region (Czechia) is just not there. My thoughts exactly.
Shame there’s so many awful bottles at 40-43% that have been nominated by the people, lots of whisky journeying to do for them!!!!

Lagg is stinking
Same DAMN whiskys year in year out. So DAMN boring. This SUCKS BIGLY!
Good job lads. Returned to Scotch recently and this is extremely interesting and insightful to get a snapshot of the annual landscape of this category. Congrats.
Great award ,, respect Ralfy and Roy !!!
