Thank you Fr.Warner for today's reflection which focuses attention on This Chapter 5 taken from Micah.The reference to Bethlehem which means Bread and according to this Prophcey of Restoration, we have a reference to the coming of the Messiah whose origin is from Heaven. God chose this little town of Bethlehem of Ephrata for the Birth of someone, who is going to feed His flock, in the name of His Majesty Two things offered are Security and Peace. Shalom- inspite of the difficulties facing me, I feel an inner sense of Peace and Security. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. We have to strive to be true Christian witnesses, the remnants but strong and mighty like the young lions May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire and guide you Fr.Warner God bless you and protect you always 🙏 Fr.Warner 🎉

Dear Fr Warner - Micah 5 presents a powerful prophecy which was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Two important facts stand out in your teaching - that though Jesus came from Bethlehem (the House of Bread), He was pre existent & with us from the very beginning & would feed us His flock with His precious Body & Blood. His very presence here assures us of security & peace especially in moments of difficulties. Secondly, like the remnants of Israel, we too are called to be like dew from the Lord, like life giving water & salt of the earth. Thank you Fr for enriching our minds - so much to learn. Also loved what you said about the 'promptings of the Holy Spirit' because I recognise them in my life, specially when I'm quite sure I don't want to do a certain things and then I get this urging voice within encouraging me to do it and I know who's speaking. All praise to God! I was hoping you'd throw light on who Micah was actually referring to in verses 2 and 3, which we understand as a reference to Jesus. Was Micah really talking of Jesus, and Mary?

Father, feel really strange that in the old testament, Yahweh talks of making his people, fierce lions among others whereas the same Yahweh in the new testament talks of being lambs among wolves. Wonder why this demotion ? Also Micah speaks about fierce lions bearing witness, but surprisingly in the new testament, all fierceness is gone, other people are fiercer than us and so we are failing miserably in bearing witness. Yahweh had given specific instructions to avoid mixing with other people to safeguard the faith, however the catholic church, in its extra zeal to be catholic (universal), thrust on itself the dilemma of mixed marriages which has now become a challenge to the faith itself though exceptions are there.
When I I was a young priest I jumped on the bandwagon that the church is not in step with the world . The church must be in step with God. It’s not so much that we walk with him but that he points the path we should walk in
Dear Father Warner, I am very disturbed by mix marriage. My daughter is going to marry a Hindu groom. We are having marriage ceremony in our Catholic Church and Hindu table. All my grand children will be brought up Catholic. What is your opinion about this marriage?
