This quarter's book topic is “The Great Controversy” and this week's Sabbath School lesson is titled “Spiritualism Exposed”. Join us every week for a fresh and relevant study of the word of God.

I am so thankful for this lesson study, and these knowledgeable people help in finding these scriptures. Sometimes, people will ask what Adventists believe about the dead and ghosts, "the dead know nothing," isn't a well developed answer they want. Now, I can open scripture and show them what it says from God's word. God bless you

What a powerfull lesson! And it is SO important to reasure church that the only way to be protected is studing God's Word. How many we see to be deceived by "good things" they are replacing God's Word.

Happy Sabbath; my mom died 5/23/24. I tell well meaning folks that the Bible comforts me that she’s asleep in Jesus, awaiting His second return when He wakes her from her death sleep. They tell me she’s “received her angel wings”, is “now an angel watching over us”, or is “in heaven smiling down on me”.🙄😖
She's not in heaven, she's in the grave until the trumpet of the Lord sound ,and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
They are trying to be nice
@@ElaineBrown-kh7dh yes, she’s not suffering anymore and is asleep in Jesus. People keep telling me she’s in heaven. That’s not what the Bible says.
I too was taught that but scripture corrected me :)

There are two general resurrections in the Bible, but not just “two” we find the truth in the Bible and spirit of prophecy. Ezekiel 37 the house of Israel and Daniel 12:2 Maranatha sep 31 and EW 285. We have to take the Bible as a whole not pick out from it what sounds good to us.
