great commentary vid boomer, heres some things i just wanna say. life series are a semi-competitve experience but mostly for fun, like as someone who recently got in to clock life, the biggest life series in this community, they admins judge you on how good of a player you would be by how entertaining you are and NOT how good you are pvp. Things that make life series fun can be pvp but also includes things such as building, player interactions, bits and other non-competitive stuff. Minirounds at first were a way to simulate life series at a smaller 1 session scale, however over time they've sort of just turned into a competitve game kind of like valorant or fortnite. Players who play competitve games find it fun by mostly playing to win which is what minirounds have turned into. This is the sweat problem. The problem that stems from this is just mainly the "losing mindset". Like when some people final die, they get pissed off at their death, while others are chill about it and fine about it. A lot of players in the community whether they are sweaty or not, don't have a good reaction to final dying. some context on the round I played with boomer while he was making the video was a teams round (which inherently is just NOT a life series and more like a pvp gamemode just to win lmao) and the round was also part of a tournament where the winner moves onto the next bracket, leading to me being spawnkilled after the round started so it was pretty much the worst possible miniround experience lmao. i hope minirounds change for the better but like idk
this is very true. minirounds have devolved into toxic and not fun games that were once really good. Too many people in them and they are WAY too competitive.
Long rant warning First off with the admin abusing. Ever since I became a hoster for Tikam rounds I’ve seen more admin abusing and neglect in sword rounds. The other day I was playing a sword round and the mods were interfering by changing the sizes of players and making tnt cannons that were killing people. All the mods eventually left and there was no supervision whatsoever. People were illegal killing and there was no one there to do anything about it. And in Hx rounds as well I’ve seen admin abusing in almost every round. Carts being dropped on peoples heads and everyone getting revived for no reason. Now watching this video did make me realize that I slightly admin abused as well but it was nothing to this level of actually killing people. I will definitely stop from now on that I realized i was admin abusing. Now the sweats. The sweats have made me so mad recently and it’s just not fun to play in rounds with them anymore with how much they make the rounds suck. It’s always the people good at PvP who team up and kill everyone else and it’s just not fun anymore. And the amount of times I’ve seen people over self defense is crazy. In one round I hit someone with the most time on the server by a long shot off a tree so they would stop camping up there and about 2 minutes later I run into them and they start killing me again for hitting them off the tree which resulted in me getting boogey killed from them getting me to 3 hearts. I personally think those types of people should not be welcome in minirounds. Now as of now I think the only actual good server I’ve played on has been Luna rounds. It has the least amount of sweats and hosts pretty much daily. Most of them recently have been private rounds and I’ve had fun in every single one of those rounds. I believe other rounds could be like this if people who play to win or are sweats are actually banned from these servers. I know Tikam rounds has done something like this recently but it was handled horribly which resulted in them getting unbanned. I think hosters need to learn who to not let play their rounds and who to let play. I for sure have a list I’ll never let play my rounds and more people do as well. Rant over gn!!!
