Merecidos elogios. Esto tiene algo del estilo que llamamos "Canyengue" que sin ser una especialidad de Sebastián y Mariana, al menos nos dejan ver algo distinto al tango de pista. Estrictamente, el tango canyengue es muy diferente a esto que acá nos muestran.
Son extraordinarios bailarines, pero hay que tener en cuenta que aqui estan representando un tango, con una coreografia muy ensayada, y el publico quiere ver pirotecnia, figuras, etc. lo cual hace que muchas veces aparezcan, como decia Copes, "gelidas destrezas y erotismos impostados" A este tipo de buenos bailarines me gusta verlos bailar improvisando en una milonga, con todo el sentimiento, bailando "para adentro", solo para su pareja .-
You are correct 100%. For some people its takes getting used to. With some people, the will never like it and are glad that this style of tango is the past before the golden age of Tango. I am the reverse, I don't like Nuevo Tango and rather dance the Tachata Tango (its a combination of Lambada, sensual Salsa and Nuevo Argentine Tango. I can see where the difference of opinion because Invierno song has some of the saddest lyrics and to be playful in this dance with lyrics of misery. OK.
Of course you have the right not to agree, just like I have the right not to like their dance. :P It is not a good example of 'canyenge', that's it. Also Their dance remains as 'superficial' and 'exterior'. You can like if you want.
I don't agree with you about the lack of soul of their tango. In particular, this style is canyengue also called orillero, playful and charismatic. danced with bent knees and a lead-right-cheek to follower-left-cheek contact. Originally, it was danced by low class people.
Their tango has no soul, just some sexual expressions and gestures with flashy outfits and fancy techniques that doesn't have profoundness of emotions and sentiments.
