Excellent looking video and an amazing ride through Nashville. The music helped a lot. Jason Aldean, the Snowman & Gretchen Wilson. Thanx for posting this.
Nice ride through Nashville- fun ride and fun to see the city- and also a very good soundtrack as well! Always do enjoy your videos and looking forward to seeing what is next down the road and all!
Enjoyed the video as always. I've never been to Nashville, so this was nice to see. On April 5th at 2:40, I was having my own road adventure. US 60 West out of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia heading back to Michigan from Florida. My wife wasn't very fond of the stretch going up to hawks nest and back down.
Yes! I was wondering if you would ever make a new video of Nashville, given that it seems you go there quite often. I love the Nashville freeways.Great video as always!
great video as always!! lov the music u put up as well , but this one at the begining is lol wow, a country song gone rock, with even a Bon Jovi style talk box in it, and then rapping too lol , what a mix
So glad you got to visit Nashville. This Tennessee capital city has changed dramatically in the 35 years I have lived here. The skyline is booming with construction in the downtown area.
Jerry Reed. Making the most from the least. The percussion features only a hi hat and a (very) occasional snare... And I LOVE it! 😎 Cool video as always, Jim... That traffic had to be bothersome.
Definitely not.. especially when you are recording. Between the one way streets, police barricades, pedestrians, pedal bars & congestion it is very hard. I went up with the idea of doing a downtown tour of the city and found that half of it was inaccessible. Your video reminded me that I've got to head back sometime this summer.
That was a fun & awesome video, really enjoyed the tour of Nashville! I would have never have guessed the first song was a Jason Aldean tune, and nice to hear one from The Snowman himself!!
That early stretch of expressway downtown looks like the old Williams Street exit on the Downtown Connector in Atlanta before it was rebuilt in the eighties.
Yeah, that's exactly right about the I-440. It's going to be next year before its complete. We were stuck on it recently to get to Brentwood, brutal backups in the afternoon.
Great video! One thing I like about Nashville is if I want to drive I-24, I-40, and I-65 I can drive that circle around the city. I'm sure you started your video after you left McKays.
The Nashville area has been booming like crazy over the past good while. I feel that our area has grown so fast, that they didn't have enough time to widen and add new roads. Going to Nashville on any given day is honestly nothing short of a parking lot 😂. You know it's bad when you live in a suburb and it take 30 minutes just to get across town! But, awesome footage! Please forgive our crumbling infrastructure.😅
Nice ride. Hope there's more Nashville to come. Do you like the ride and handling of the Genesis? Next > I was 40 already when a 20-ish year-old me that, yeah, novelty songs are neat, but check out Jerry Reed's picking skills. Yep. ( but one of my faves is still "Another Puff")
Great video. I’m very certain freeways here in Australia have nothing on American Freeways. Only recently where I am we are only now starting to adopt designs including but not limited separated major interchange exits.
Another thing of note in Nashville... It's a second home, of sorts, to Antique Archaeology and the "American Pickers" from History Channel as there's a warehouse of theirs there.
I just found your channel thru anthor one something Briggs I believe, great video!! I live like 2 hrs south of Nashville. I was wondering if you have done any footage of the Natchaz Trace Parkway? If so I'm sorry for asking, again in a newbie here.
LOL I see that you included a Gretchen Wilson cover of a Bob Seger classic. Unfortunately he’s in the midst of his retirement tour but I do wish him the best in doing so.
If it weren't for the street signs, license plates and some other details, this would look astonishingly much like a typical bigger city in the south-west of Germany. If someone would have shown me this footage and told me this is the non-historical part of Stuttgart (hometown of Daimler Benz and Porsche) or Frankfurt, or Cologne, I would have had to look closely to figure out it isn't. I'm really surprised and intrigued. This isn't a part of the USA you often see in Hollywood movies or TV shows.
This is considered part of "Flyover Country" in the USA, usually looked down upon by those in the coastal big cities so that's probably why you don't see much like this although Hollywood has been setting up shop (building movie studios) in Georgia (Metro Atlanta, which is a modern looking city) which is 250 miles to the Southeast of Nashville so who knows?
@@cabasse_music actually Charlotte is larger than both Atlanta and Nashville in population in City limits. Downtown and metro population Charlotte is largest than Nashville but smaller than Atlanta. Charlotte is my second hometown beautiful city I might actually move there soon from Columbia SC. And Atlanta is beautiful but has problems and is so big you can get lost so quickly in that city. In a way Charlotte feels like a smaller Atlanta without the Brutalist Architecture. (which I love that style of buildings btw)
Nashville is Charlotte 2007-2008. Charlotte, like Nashville, is also booming. Uptown and center city Charlotte are going through an unprecedented boom. Charlotte just doesn’t get the hype that Nashville does, even though it grows faster and is bigger. Charlotte also has light rail and a full transit plan, whereas Nashville just overwhelmingly voted their own plan down.
yea avoid 440 in nashville right now, its not just a major construction project, they are reconstructing I-440 around nashville, and adding a lane or 2 here and there too. that place will be traffic hell for the next few years.
You should check out the completed Zoo interchange in Milwaukee! everything is done basically. there's some northern leg that needs to be spruced up, but by the time that's funded and moving forward, the rest of the rest of it will probably be covered in tar lol.
@@jerrydavis3548 I don't do that many of Atlanta considering I LIVE THERE, where else would you like me to do an equipment test or a couple warm-up videos before a big trip? I don't get any money for this so you get what you get, I've been cross country three times since 2013 among other places so I think I offer up a pretty good variety of places and subjects.
You did a great job on the video. Lived in Nashville 22 years and I thank you for sharing your excellent quality (no shaking, stable) video!
Much appreciated, thank you!
Nice to see you making new video! Nashville has a fascinating freeway system. US 31E seems to be a nice little secret, especially Friday afternoons!
Thank you!
You always know how to pick excellent music for the footage you're using. Great work.
Thank you, I appreciate that.

Thank you for watching, I've never driven US-60 in WV, sounds interesting.
These roads remind me of going to track meets as a kid, driving to see friends in high school and so much more. Thank you for this video.

I've been up many times as my son goes to school there, yes the place is definitely booming!
How did I miss this? Great work.

As always, great choices in music. Keep up the good work.

Thank you and it was, typical Nashville on a Friday.
As much as I enjoy the redo of the old videos it is great to have a new one.
Thanks, I do what I can :)
Great video! Love Nashville and was up there not too long ago myself but had to deal with a LOT of construction and closed roads.
Thank you, yes it's not the easiest place to get around.
Definitely not.. especially when you are recording. Between the one way streets, police barricades, pedestrians, pedal bars & congestion it is very hard. Love the music and the video. Have a blessed day Freewayjim

LOL, Thanks!
Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing

Very nice; probably the best time lapse I've seen of Nashville so far. I'm really surprised that first Jason Aldeen tune was allowed
Thanks, and thank the test channel :)
A amazing Tour by Nashville.

As I watched this video, couldn't help but to reminisce the old days how I miss Nashville and Tennessee

I was last in Nashville in 1997, can’t believe how much bigger downtown is now.
And growing like gangbusters.

No, that's probably not something I'd go out of my way for.

2:08 I was hoping you would add a comment like that in video 13-34 so I would know what caused the traffic jam on the ramp from I-5 to CA-163
Get over it! I may not have even seen or known what caused tha jam in San Diego you are so concerned about, please let it go.
No way
8:40 those electric scooters I keep reading about. They haven't invaded my area yet.
Saw many of them during my time there, they seem to be popular.
That thing is so popular in Zagreb, Croatia. Lot of them on the streets..
Have you used Jamiroquai's "Alright" yet?
I don't think so, good tune!
Freewayjim my friend if you read this message give me a heart please!!!!
Freewayjim makes me wanna hit the highway and just GOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Our freeways here in Nashville aren’t for the faint of heart! They’re always backed up, and don’t make much sense.
I agree 100%

older bones than charlotte and a riverfront city though. charlotte is a cleaner, newer, smaller but more sterile atlanta

I’m happy because I’m moving to Clarksville tn in June and I’ll be 2 hours away from Nashville can’t wait to try some of the spiciest chicken 🍗

Did you know: A brand new Interstate 165 replaces the William H. Natchez Parkway in Kentucky.
It's just renumbered, the road is not new (1972) and it's the Natcher Parkway.
You are visiting your son? Dude, I'm getting old. ;-D I remember when you talked about them as if he was a kid... ;-D
