I'm sure MaryCarl had trouble with rehoming some of the pheasants, but when you started talking about how the birds you still have started singing & making sounds you hadn't heard with the other birds there, I'm hoping that helped her heart. I know it put a lump in my throat for them, thinking they had been so unhappy with the others. I definitely think thats a positive thing that MaryCarl should feel good about.
It also really warms my heart to see the obvious pride &affection that your parents have for you MaryCarl. They are obviuously sooo very proud of you!! Keep up the great videos - you guys are such a ray of sunshine for so many of us!! God bless you & all your farmbabies!!❤🙏

I must say you are my favourite Farm channel. One reason is you are excellent parents to MaryCarl. The other is that all the feathered creatures you are raising and taking wonderful care of. There many others however that would take too long to type out lol.Have a Wonderfull evening for the far and cold North.:-)

Brooke and Jason, I didn't know anything was wrong with drinking milk from a cow, not store-bought until I was a teenager. We had lots of farmers in our family and they all had at least 1 cow which they milked. I still don't understand the problem and I am 73! Now though milk is off my diet, sigh...
I like Peaches just the way she is! I wouldn't want her, but she is fine with ya'll.
Mary Carl, you remind me of myself at your age. One of my favorite questions was, "Why?". Drove my parents crazy. LOL I still read and now I use the Internet to investigate things that intrigue me. Keep on being you, girlfriend!
    Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.

I had the same thing with a African Gray Parrot. Taco Marie was our pet for 25 years. Around 10 years of age I purchased her a mate. She lived with him for a year. He was not tame like her. Every time I would go out to feed them he would scream and Taco Marie would say be quiet Sailor. One day I was out there and she said “I am ready to go home.” I felt so sad I carried her into the house. She never asked for sailor. That girl talked up a storm. We were so sad on her passing at age 25 years.

I figured the bobcats and coyotes have killed them. When I was a kid I could sit on the porch and hear the bobwhites all the time and another bird that I haven’t heard in ages is the whimper will. Brooke, do you have a recipe for goat milk soap and skin products? Do you need a large herd to make something like that feasible?
I saw where your friend had her line of goat milk products but I didn't know #1 if she had an ice cream- fudge sauce-butter consuming family and/or #2 if she had several milk producing nannies.
And what would you use for scents? If you use essential oils I suggest getting a membership to Young Living, or finding someone you know who has one. They are pure, organic oils. If you could, using your own herbs from your garden would be optimal.
I would love to see you do a whole, start to finished product, podcast on just goats - the best foods for milk goats, the best producers, the products and recipes.
I also noticed that you don't go into the pen with the goats and wondered if there was a reason for that.
Jason, you had better get your hammer and nails out and get that goat shed extended so that Brooke can have her Milking Room with a refrigerator and a milking stand because I can tell by the gleam in her eye, she is getting excited about her goat milk supplies. Make sure to build in shelves for her supplies and a water line and sink for washing off the teats before milking. *Optional, but would be nice, install a dishwasher to sterilize her jars and equipment.

Hi Cog Hill Family, we love being part of your virtual community. I was wondering about your dogs. Do you need to train the guardian dogs? If so, how? Also, ??? About all the dogs? Thanks for all!

How much room do Cornish cross need once they are moved from the broader? We are converting an old swing set into a chicken tractor and I don't want to order too many.
Also I would suggest using a # for questions. Maybe something like #askcoghill or #cogquestion

Somebody on YT kept the cabbage or broccoli covered with the cloth to keep the moths out... Art and Bri, maybe? Funny that Mary CArl is so smart with her breeds... Frizzle and Frizzle = NOPE! And Dad, "I already talked about the Sizzle". LOL!
