Aaron, don’t ever change! I’m glued to the tv whenever Dusty reads an ad, watching you try desperately not to laugh and failing miserably. For some reason I laugh the hardest when this occurs. Y’all keep on being yourselves. Hey Bear!
Eleanor is so adorable! I really needed that sweet treat this morning! Thank you, Brian, for introducing your beautiful baby!! I appreciate you all so much ❤
The visual of Dusty muting his TV so Dr Strange’s spells don’t infiltrate his living room and summon things into his house made me lose it. Maybe the hardest I’ve laughed at any line of any show.
I started listening to Nateland after I graduated law school. I listened while I studied for the bar exam to make it through 12+ hour study days. Then listened while I waited 3 months for results to drop. I recently passed the bar exam and now a licensed attorney. Thank y’all for making a rough period of time a little better with laughs and positivity.
As soon as Nate asked why Superman doesn't play football, I began shouting "Smallville!" at my computer until Aaron thankfully brought up that episode. Thank you, Aaron, for always bringing your much-needed knowledge to the podcast!
Brian is sneaky funny!! I feel like half the time, the other 3 dont even HEAR his funny comments.I love watching his facial expressions through each episode also. Brian, I'm waiting on you to come to Royal Oak, Michigan!!
Between Dustys enthusiasm for ad reads and Aarons seemingly inescapable laughter during, you guys really make them fun, you are one of the few pods where I don't skip the reads.
Moments with Breakfast Bates are often my favorite. Cledus T Judd and Larry the Cable Guy are distinctly different looking people. This moment on the show had me laughing almost as hard as when Breakfast’s car was eaten up by squirrels and he had his terrible wet weekend on the road when his water bottle spilled all over him… his life is hysterical
When Brian described working at the TV station with 3 shifts and would change shifts and work with all new people who had worked there for years he said and then he would have all new coworkers and friends, I thought to myself “aww Brian called his coworkers his friends”. I immediately realized I have no friends except for my coworkers, wife and kids.
I absolutely loved Bibleman as a kid. I had all of the costumes and action figures. I dont remember this but my family loves re-telling the story. I was telling my grandparents about an episode and said "and then he shot him with his love gun" and my dad said "gosh, I wonder what that's rated". Now as an adult I think of this story whenever I see Bibleman come up.
I'm bear-ly into this episode and I'm dying just reading through the comments! I just scanned through and there's something about Kroger has clothes, speed traps, and Dusty muting Dr. Strange to keep the spells out. Giving folks a chance to comment before I watch might be my favorite way to do the podcast! I heart Nateland and all the Folks that live here! Headed to Nate's show in Louisville TONIGHT! Can't wait!
I couldn't understand how Clark Kent was never recognized as Superman but after hearing that Cletus T. Judd was able to masquerade as Larry the Cable Guy with just a hat and sunglasses it totally makes sense.
Worked at a DuPont factory when I was a teen. There was asbestos all over the building! The protocol if we noticed “exposed asbestos” was to put this special red duct tape over it! 😂😂
Hey Bear! Bates is correct Dusty already told the Gym Story. Obviously I’m behind on episodes, but I flip back and forth between old and new while at work. Dusty retells the same stories to the point where I think “man I’ve already listened to this episode!” Love the pod folks!
Hearing Dusty talk NASCAR and being in the Ford camp makes me an even bigger fan. An acrostic for Chevrolet I’ve always heard is “Cracked heads, every valve rattles, oil leaks every time” 😅
“Do raccoons have good eyes, I bet they have good eyes….” Nate moment of the show. Raccoons have famously terrible vision, they have to paw everything to feel and smell their way through life, however they probably have the best hand cleaning habits in the animal kingdom.
When I first started driving, I couldn't wait for my first opportunity to warn someone of a speed trap. The day finally arrived. I passed a trap going the speed limit and started flashing my lights like crazy at the next car I saw. It turned out to be a cop in an unmarked car. He quickly u-turned and pulled me over. I thought for sure I was going to jail at 16. I was completely honest with him about what I was doing. Luckily, he laughed and firmly told me not to do that again. Twenty years later and I haven't done it since.
I like how they all agreed that there’s no way a comedian could genuinely laugh at a joke they’ve told over and over while Aaron looks like he’s about to have a seizure from laughing so hard at the exact same ad reads every week.
"Do we know if Zod had bad plans?" He was planning on turning Earth into a new Krypton. Those big machines that were destroying Metropolis were terraforming the planet into one that could be habitable by Kryptonians, which would make it unlivable for humans... so not great. I feel like this must be what smart people feel like when you guys cover topics like Physics. Love the show, guys!
When I sold cars about ten years ago I walked out on the lot with someone and was pointing out makes and models. It was Carmax so we had every option. I mention Hondas and the guy looking (he was much older) said “hmmmph, like I’d forget Pearl Harbor, never.” Brian brought back that memory for me
For the next episode, the guys should make their own version of "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" except they watch Shawshank Redemption and provide commentary along the way.
I too was thinking about some way to make Nate watch Shawshank with an audience. Maybe we just all SYNC watch it one Wednesday evening, to avoid copyright issues? All we hear and see are the guys and their comments, we can't see or hear the movie? But we can watch our own copies of it on a separate screen. ...Now if only my NEW laptop had a DVD player!? ;-D
Hello Folks! This episode brought to light the fact that my wife, who has for years been in charge of tag renewal, intentionally opted to NOT get the “In God we trust” on all three of our family cars at 3 different times: March, May, and August. Here’s the kicker… She works on staff at a rather large Middle TN Baptist church (Bates evidently has a comedy residency there??) and she cannot give a straight answer as to why she made this choice on our behalf…. Thanks for the heads up, I’m now questioning everything she believes and will sharpie In God I Trust on my tag so as not to miss the rapture. Please pray for Kelly’s cold sinful heart! Trusting God and Hey Bear! Bryan
Once I was watching Batman: The Animated Series. Some of the goons walked into a messy room of a house and one said, "It looks like my kid's room in here!" I was completely blown away. These guys have kids?!?! What are they doing working for the Joker?!?! I didn't want to have to imagine some poor kid my age waiting for a dad that never came home because of Batman. However, I didn't stop watching it and Batman is still my favorite superhero. I'll go proofread this now.
So sweet, I’ve been trying to catch up with the podcast every day for the past couple of months and just yesterday, I finished the episode where Brian revealed his wife was pregnant. I do follow Brian on Instagram, but, so nice seeing Eleanor on the podcast 🥰
I too was waiting for them to make/know that connection!? They really needed a guest comic book nerd/comic for this episode. Maybe this would be fertile ground for a second episode?
I love that there was a whole episode on wrestling and the different storylines wrestling characters had throughout the years, but on this episode said there are too many superhero movies and shows to keep up with. Keep up the great work guys!
I recently saw Nate on Theo Vonns podcast and they did a state vs. state bracket, explaining who would win between the different states fighting. I would LOVE to hear Brian,Dusty,Aaron, and Nate do something similar!!
The suit is what gave them power. Superman used to have to duck into a phone booth to put his suit on to be able to save somebody. Phone booths weren't always "see thru".
Batgirl, Supergirl, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman...don't worry fellas, we'll try to cover these super chicks over on Folkland!! Who else thinks we need a Superheroes Pt2 sode??
In summary, the guy that started the show off as a reference in an article about never setting foot in a gym is also the expert on why super heroes can’t build muscle tone. This is what makes this podcast great!
i bet the mystery comedian that laughed at himself hysterically was Bert Kreischer, i love Bert but Bert definitely can make himself laugh as hard as anyone else can.
Disappointed that my favourite superhero show growing up, The Greatest American Hero, didn't get a mention in the Superheroes episode. To meld two ideas together, a Greatest American Hero reboot played by an anxiety-riddled Greatest Average American would surely be a smash hit.
George Reeves’ superman TV show, late 50s is definitely more of a whole some sort of show much like the Lone Ranger. I agree nowadays it’s gotten darker and darker.
I love how Nate is by far one of the greatest comedians of all time. An how he miss spoke Rockford and called it Rockland at his show in IL. I also think he maybe dyslexic which is fine. I am!
Breakfast is so nice when Nate starts talking about Elvis he just cant call him out because it really didnt make sense to what they were talking about previously (ads). Keep up the good work.
Ragnarok was the best Dusty! No surprise that no one else there seemed to bat an eye at that statement even though you seemed to be the only one in the group with any knowledge on the subject. Love the podcast guys! Keep up the good work!
In Athens, GA we have a store that everyone in town refers to as "Space Kroger." In addition to food, this Kroger also sells clothing and shoes and has a jeweler onsite.
I watched Bibleman as a little kid in the early 2000’s and got saved at a Bibleman Live play when they did a sermon and invitation at the end. So Bibleman is the least failed superhero out of them all, as he’s the only one who has ever literally saved people in real life. Technically God saved me, but Bibleman helped. But apparently Bible Hater Brian doesn’t care about that. I wish Bibleman would’ve fought you!
Hi from episode #77. Been binging for a few months at work and working my way up to the current episodes. I'm looking forward to only having one episode a week to watch so that I can stop having my thought life dominated by "let's go" and arguments about statistics being fake. See y'all soon.
Would 100% be down for a Shawshank episode - just give us all a deadline of when to watch it by? I’ve never seen it either. Would be a fun homework assignment for everyone :)
I can see it now… episode #301 - flavored water…. “Hello folks, Hey bear, Yee Yee, God Country Notre Dame and jay cutler rules…. Welcome to the nateland podcast”
I'm kinda wishing you guys could revisit some previous topics, but this time with Dusty, labeling them all 2.0's. I think you all nailed it, but it would be so interesting to see how different the conversations would be this time around with him adding his out-of-nowhere commentary
Way to go Dusty with Ford's! I bought a 1973 Ford Maverick (brand new off the lot for $2400) and had it for 34 years. Had a '66 Mustang prior to the Maverick. Miss both of those cars!
Every time I got dinner in the dining hall at my university, I would get a plate full of food but only about half of it would be good. This of course left me still a bit hungry, so my roommate and I formed a tradition of going back for a second plate of food that we dubbed a "breakfast addendum." So after eating half a plate of mediocre dinner food we would end our meal with a bowl of cereal or a bagel or some other breakfast item that the dining hall served all day. Perhaps Eleanor can be this podcast's breakfast addendum.
Hey bear, love the show, but please sneeze into your shoulder/sleeve! Watching Nate sneeze directly into his hand and then touching everything right after had me scared for the rest of the boys 😅 Keep up the good work folks
Speaking of tire pressure my wife has been trying to get her low tire pressure lights to turn off and has been filling them everyday for a week. She went into WalMart yesterday and her tires were at 85PSI! Her tire pressure warning sensor was trying to tell her its too high. The WalMart employee even said "I've never seen a customer bring in tires that high before" which means a lot coming from WalMart.
Don't overfill your tires. When you start driving they heat up and the air expands. That's pretty much the same thing - when it starts getting cold, everyone has to adjust their tire pressure because the cold air lowers it
I introduced podcasts to my students and the only one I can think of that's appropriate por them is Nateland. The topic was Informed Opinions and doing research. Though they don't get how funny y you are, I find you amusing. Please do an episode about 🦕 dinosaurs and what's your opinion on them. Love you all!
My husband is from Metropolis, Illinois. Home of Superman. There's a museum and Superman statue in the center of town. When my son was six, he discovered Batman. Now he's 19, 6'5 and is still Batman obsessed. My husband says, "anyone can be a trust fund baby with a lot of toys and a chip on his shoulder." And my son grumbles something, whisks his cape around and disappears into the darkness. Usually, I'll call out, "Hey, it's okay, Sugar. We haven't been murdered..." Anyway, it seems we don't outgrow our superheroes.
A lengthy discussion about who to send to represent the American people to Aliens, and the "Greatest Average American" is sitting at the table and isn't mentioned. Gotta love this podcast.
@@brianbatescomedy Oh no, did I really miss that?! Apologies! And you were the one who said it too! I really do love the show, can't believe I missed it. Keep up the great work.
2 Big thumbs down for Breakfast Bates. He didn't mention the only Christian Superhero in Marvel "The Illuminator" from Fairview, TN. From the Bible Belt!! He has the power of flight, luminescence and durability. He only got 3 issues ever. BTW: I have all 3!! Me for the win! Thanks for the laughs, you guys rock.
Spiderman is a teenager when he aquires his powers. He's also very smart before getting them. His relationships with friends and school are all going to occupy his mind since he's a narrow minded kid even though he has extreme abilities.
Man, I can never guess what y'all's next topic is xD. I fell like y'all missed the best and most underrated superpower..X-RAY VISION BABY!! That way you'll always know what's hiding. Love the podcast!!
Big fan here! It’s funny you mentioned Bozo the clown because my 10 month old has a similar hairstyle going on and I was googling Bozo the clown today to send a pic to my husband as a reference.
Aaron, don’t ever change! I’m glued to the tv whenever Dusty reads an ad, watching you try desperately not to laugh and failing miserably. For some reason I laugh the hardest when this occurs. Y’all keep on being yourselves. Hey Bear!

I haven't seen it yet, I'm only halfway through- but I do the same thing 😳
😂
Biscuit ( A little piece of Breakfast ) is 100% as adorable as he stated. Way to go Breakfast , you gave us a side dish 🥳💕
We need an episode of Nateland Kids with Aaron babysitting.
Wait I thought that was pretty much what we were already watching
The Incredibles!
It would be the opposite of shane gillis episode about "uncle daycare" lol.
I love how Nate said he would want a cape with sleeves, otherwise known as a jacket!
Lol
Dusty really sold me on the Athletic Greens with this one.
Thanks for showing Eleanor 💚 she's a cutie
Stairs being the reason Aaron immediately chooses flying over invisible power just speaks to his commitment to health. Keep up the good work!
As soon as Nate asked why Superman doesn't play football, I began shouting "Smallville!" at my computer until Aaron thankfully brought up that episode. Thank you, Aaron, for always bringing your much-needed knowledge to the podcast!
Hey bear,
Bruce Banner Bates dressing up as Dusty then following that up bringing in Baby Breakfast is quickly making him my favorite on the show.
ua-cam.com/video/Of9Qnnnj73M/v-deo.html
Quickly? I should have been your favorite a long time ago.
Brian is sneaky funny!! I feel like half the time, the other 3 dont even HEAR his funny comments.I love watching his facial expressions through each episode also. Brian, I'm waiting on you to come to Royal Oak, Michigan!!
I’m Mexican and I loved that fat joke 😂 (pretty hard to find an offended Mexican)
ua-cam.com/video/Of9Qnnnj73M/v-deo.html
Awww baby bear/tater tot is adorable! 💖 I didn’t realize how much I missed Dusty in the mix. Happy Birthday Breakfast! Great episode per usual Folks!
Between Dustys enthusiasm for ad reads and Aarons seemingly inescapable laughter during, you guys really make them fun, you are one of the few pods where I don't skip the reads.

Bambino & Breakfast MADE MY DAY! Ive been hoping for an update 🤗🙏🏻💝
HEY BEAR 👋🏿

1:42:22 Dusty..."I thought that was the stick holding the tent up" spit out my coffee, ha, ha
"Bozo Came to Lebanon" - the Breakfast Bates story 😂😂😂
Hey Bear! Bates is correct Dusty already told the Gym Story. Obviously I’m behind on episodes, but I flip back and forth between old and new while at work. Dusty retells the same stories to the point where I think “man I’ve already listened to this episode!” Love the pod folks!
Omg ....the baby is soooooo cute. OMG Im so happy for you Brian .

“Do raccoons have good eyes, I bet they have good eyes….” Nate moment of the show.
Raccoons have famously terrible vision, they have to paw everything to feel and smell their way through life, however they probably have the best hand cleaning habits in the animal kingdom.

Wait, y’all listen to ad reads?
Little Breakfast is the star of this show! Maybe y’all should do a kids episode where you wrestle the kids while trying to talk about them for 2hrs
ua-cam.com/video/Of9Qnnnj73M/v-deo.html
"Do we know if Zod had bad plans?" He was planning on turning Earth into a new Krypton. I feel like this must be what smart people feel like when you guys cover topics like Physics. Love the show, guys!
I can hardly hear Dusty’s athletic greens ad over Aaron’s laughing. And then, of course, my own. Love it all!
Best start to an episode ever!!!! Baby breakfast is precious!!!
You guys are so wonderful. Your show makes me so happy:-)
I love how Aaron, said the stickers with the kid from the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. That kid just happens to be Calvin. 😅

Bryan

54 minutes in listening to who will talk to the aliens and I had to recheck what the episode was even about!
EVERY episode is like that! 😂. It’s how they roll…❤
Thanks Big Bear for sharing Eleanor, a sweetheart. ❤
Breakfast is a combo of my Sweet ol granny, and my 8 year old cousin Bo, loves Merle Streep and asking how far you can throw stuff
I love how much Dusty improves this podcast!
So sweet, I’ve been trying to catch up with the podcast every day for the past couple of months and just yesterday, I finished the episode where Brian revealed his wife was pregnant. I do follow Brian on Instagram, but, so nice seeing Eleanor on the podcast 🥰
Ironically, The Rock voiced Superman's dog Krypto recently. Really ties the pod together.
I too was waiting for them to make/know that connection!? They really needed a guest comic book nerd/comic for this episode. Maybe this would be fertile ground for a second episode?
And my kids did not like the voices chosen for that movie. They love all animated movies but the voices lost them this time.
I don’t like when one of the regulars is out for a week, but I do like the rest of the guys making fun of them while they aren’t there.
ua-cam.com/video/Of9Qnnnj73M/v-deo.html
I remember turning 16 and the first thing my dad told me before I left to go out on my own was DO NOT SPEED THROUGH LAKEWOOD!
The suit is what gave them power. Superman used to have to duck into a phone booth to put his suit on to be able to save somebody. Phone booths weren't always "see thru".
I have always thought a cool super power would be to be able to turn into any animal. You could fly, swim fast, be strong, or very tiny.
Shape shifting
Batgirl, Supergirl, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman...don't worry fellas, we'll try to cover these super chicks over on Folkland!! Who else thinks we need a Superheroes Pt2 sode??
In summary, the guy that started the show off as a reference in an article about never setting foot in a gym is also the expert on why super heroes can’t build muscle tone. This is what makes this podcast great!
Oh my gosh, lil’ Eleanor is absolutely precious!
i bet the mystery comedian that laughed at himself hysterically was Bert Kreischer, i love Bert but Bert definitely can make himself laugh as hard as anyone else can.
Or Chris D’Elia
John Christ
We're Having a good time
Disappointed that my favourite superhero show growing up, The Greatest American Hero, didn't get a mention in the Superheroes episode.
You’re the man, Dusty. Spot on with the Superman!
That's a very practical take on Instagram filtering our perspective, Nate. Really makes sense.
Sweet baby-so so cute!
I love how Nate is by far one of the greatest comedians of all time. An how he miss spoke Rockford and called it Rockland at his show in IL. I also think he maybe dyslexic which is fine. I am!

In Athens, GA we have a store that everyone in town refers to as "Space Kroger." In addition to food, this Kroger also sells clothing and shoes and has a jeweler onsite.
Here in Atlanta we have the Disco Kroger.
Dusty's daughter needs to make a cameo now!

Jus hit somebody with a "what's ur source?" now Nateland, this is a great wednesday!
Would 100% be down for a Shawshank episode - just give us all a deadline of when to watch it by? I’ve never seen it either. Would be a fun homework assignment for everyone :)
I'd say the deadline was about 1998.
Fun fact - I live in Spring Hill and the Kroger down in Thompson’s Station does sell clothes. Now ya know!
I can see it now… episode #301 - flavored water…. “Hello folks, Hey bear, Yee Yee, God Country Notre Dame and jay cutler rules…. Welcome to the nateland podcast”
I think we should send like the shamwow guy. We need a sales man with a lot of energy to convince the aliens not to kill off the human race.
Dusty needs to buy some flavacol for his at home popcorn and it'll taste like movie theater popcorn
I'm kinda wishing you guys could revisit some previous topics, but this time with Dusty, labeling them all 2.0's. I think you all nailed it, but it would be so interesting to see how different the conversations would be this time around with him adding his out-of-nowhere commentary

In the movie Mystery Men there was a character that could only turn invisible if no one was looking at him.
What a bummer🤣
You send a guy like Brock Lesnar, so that way the aliens think we all look like that, and therefore won't want none lol.
They have. Dinosaur is Episode 88.
Aaron's laugh makes me laugh till I can't breathe either😆
Aaron shaking in his seat laughing silently almost made me pee my pants 😂
This really is the dream team.....just some wholesome comedy ✌🏾

And my son grumbles something, whisks his cape around and disappears into the darkness.
Maybe you should take another listen.
@@brianbatescomedy Oh no, did I really miss that?! Apologies! And you were the one who said it too! I really do love the show, can't believe I missed it. Keep up the great work.
@@humbucker87 We've never missed anything and we have no tolerance for those who do.
I may be quadriplegic and deathly allergic to vegetables, but I'll be damned if Dusty didn't sell me on them Athletic Greens... lol
Well, could also include Nightcrawler (from X-Men) because he's a pious Catholic.
Did Aaron seriously just say “The kid from Calvin and Hobbes”? Do you mean…Calvin?
Spiderman is a teenager when he aquires his powers. He's also very smart before getting them. His relationships with friends and school are all going to occupy his mind since he's a narrow minded kid even though he has extreme abilities.
Man, I can never guess what y'all's next topic is xD. I fell like y'all missed the best and most underrated superpower..X-RAY VISION BABY!! That way you'll always know what's hiding. Love the podcast!!
Speaking of new segments, we should have a segment where each week a different folk does does an Ad read.
If Brian is breakfaat, that makes Eleanor brunch right? Its breakfast just a little later.
Big fan here! It’s funny you mentioned Bozo the clown because my 10 month old has a similar hairstyle going on and I was googling Bozo the clown today to send a pic to my husband as a reference.
You’d send Neil DeGrasse Tyson to talk to the aliens. Everyone loves Astrophysics Black Guy.
SEE YOU IN LITTLE ROCK 12/3!!!! Best birthday gift EVAH!!!! You rock.
