This mod has been an absolute joy to play. I've played more Squad in the past week than I've played in the past four months because of it. The free to play weekend made it a bit worse but on the vanilla servers the problem is of course exponentially bigger.
Werd up, I'm literally building FOB defense in depth 90% of rounds
Why it made it worst?
I was a part of the Russian squad that ran defense for our main fob for the first half of that first round and took over the squad when then sl left. It was an insane match and the other squads did a great job running interference against you while you were pushing for the hab as you experienced. But having a solid multi layered defensive wall around the hab sealed the deal. GGs
Edit: just noticed I was the guy that you shot stuck in that bunker at 32:08. We weren't watching the stream I had just turned around from looking the other way and saw you descending on us and called you out.

We called it the Command Barn.
I built the hmg bunkers and half circle emplacements outside, over watching the radio. 😊
LOL i started giggling when he was like, there's fuckin someone in here, like yeah ME AND U
I was running the defenses that were further up the hill. It was really the perfect setup because whenever they got close to you we could just look down the hill and cut them down while they were trying to dig you out. The funniest part was that our radio was at neither defense position and was just in the middle of the road the whole time
@@glockenspiel604 I'm surprised they didn't proxy that HAB really, it is in a little bowl they can shoot down on, saw several gaps they can vault over too or just sneak up to wall to chuck nades over.
And yah the radio in middle of a road/open is a growing tactic...kinda like capture the flag you can see anyone coming from all angles, also allows for 10 layers of barbed wire lol
@@glockenspiel604 also I think right after karma dies when they shoot smoke onto the tower, I build 2 mgs facing opposite directions and spray the rocks 😅
@@tylerwhitney3443 well the main reason was that they just couldn't get close enough. The bowl goes both ways and we were always able to spot them in time and that would allow everyone in the fob to turn and open fire. They only made it over the walls once and it was 1 or 2 guys that got lit up as soon as they touched the dirt.
I was one of the gunners in the btrs raining hell fire at the end, I’m glad karma was down there to record cause I really wanted to know what that looked like 😂. Awesome mod

Ground Branch is such a great game, but they take a lot to update the game. Squad or Ready or Not might be a good option in the meantime
I have both. I tend to play squad a hell of a lot more. Ground branch is great for quick solo fun.

@@Codazoa Auscam is being continually developed IRL and has taken since the 1980s to get to this point. Before this it was straight Jungle Green. Not OP just effective, to cut down the Vs on the body if you know anything about Camo and optics.
@@rodneypayne4827 That may be but a game needs balance for players to even want to play on the other team. The new Aussie faction seems quite a bit more effective than any of the other factions at the moment.
Perfect examples of when "bounding by fire-team" would be good to use, and yet so difficult to do :P

I play on an i5 16gb ram with rtx 1650 and I can barely play on low settings, with about a fluctuation of 45-65 fps). I probably average 53-56 fps though. I would recommend anything above i5, 16gb ram, and 1650 super because the regular 1650 barely does it.
@@johnm3845 if I had something like that, I'll be playing already. I have an IUD 6700HQ, 12GB of RAM and a 950m 4GB (laptop) I'll be playing in low at 16-20 fps 🥲
I am thinking of buying this game.. but could anyone tell me how hard the learning curve is on this game? And is the community supportive of new players?
The tutorial tells you alot but you mostly just pick things up if you use your mic and are willing to talk and ask questions. I'm 13 and I have not had anyone giving me stick so the community is friendly.
Just be vocal about being new and someone will be willing to help you
Ive had the game for a year or so now and i still suck at this game so i am usually playing medic. People are usually pretty nice and will definately help.
@@WeeeklyBoom I also main medic, it is a surprisingly appreciated role, always get a “thanks man” or something whenever i pick someone up. Feels great to play medic in Squad
The learning curve can be difficult but you'll still have fun even when you don't know wtf is going on. Most servers I've been to are supportive of new players, just make sure you're not joining one that says "experienced players" (although they'll probably still let you play and most likely help you). Just tell people that you are new and if you ever don't understand something just ask. Personally, if somebody tells me they're new I adopt them and help them for the rest of the game assuming they're willing. Like with most games, the hardest part is learning the gameplay flow, and where you should and shouldn't be. Once again, just say you're new and follow the players that help you out (also make sure you play the tutorial before hopping in a match).

hey what if there was a little point emote on a hotkey. that would have been helpful several times in this video (to squad members)
Would be nice, fireteam leads and Squad leads can "emote" by setting an observation, attack, defense etc. Point. The player character will do the corresponding hand motion.

I really enjoyed what I managed to play of the free weekend, the community was quite friendly and patient with me when I didn’t know what to do and I had a lot of fun and will probably get the game soon
