I also have Mental Health problems....i was in the house for 5 years...far to scared to go out. I'm not totally there yet and never thought i would ever feel sand between my toes........years after along with the help of Diazipam i stood on Blackpool beach in bare feet and sobbed. I do still really struggle, this began when i was 25 i am now nearly 65....i still can't go out on my own. Thank you Katie for your inspirational vlog....and well done lass xx

I worked with a lady who had managed to get out of an abusive relationship and because her partner wanted her to clean the house all the time her sister suggested she got a cleaning job in a care home which she eventually did even though she felt very much as you did. The home encouraged her to do a basic care course and she worked as a carer becoming a team leader after taking more training.

What a brilliant video that took a lot of courage to do. And you're absolutely spot on if just one person sees this and realises they can empower themselves to fight back against mental health issues it's definitely worth your time. It was for similar reasons I did a series of vlogs about my bowel cancer fight. Again if just one person saw them and realised they had similar issues and got help it was worth it. I havent got the platform of many subscribers like you but it was definitely worth my time and effort. Again well done on being so open!

It's the worst thing to say to anyone who is struggling with mental health "pull yourself together" is not an option.More understanding from the general public,more professional help etc etc.lt comes from no where,affects anyone and it's one hell of a fight-a day at a time,baby steps,good days beginning to be more than the bad days,be kind to yourself-you will do it in your time which could be weeks or months or years. I'm pleased you have managed to conquer your problems. It's not easy as basically you have to do it yourself. As a 64 year old man, I am 99% fine mentally but it never leaves you. Hi Katie what a really interesting video. It's so good when a content creator actually goes that extra mile to engage and really try to help their UA-cam family. It's never an easy thing to do when you tell your story to people you have never seen before. Even though a lot of us comment and engage with you and you reply we are all really strangers we see you however, you have no clue what most of us look like. I suppose what i'm trying to say is that by doing this video I think you have forged a stronger connection with us all.
