Its so fun to see this....Captain Amy (and Pat) took us out for the Lanai express tour a few weeks ago! Conditions weren't great but she found us some great places anyway and we learned so much from Amy about Hawaii, wildlife, and she even taught us things about snorkeling we hadn't heard before. We later went to Molokini with another company who were also good but we missed Amy & Pat & the incredible experience they provided. 💚

thanks for watching and the question! I believe the rafting companies require 3 year olds and older. The boats are a smooth ride and have sun cover but it is a long day out on the water for kids. I hope that helps. A Molokini crater tour on a larger boat may be a better option for you.

Is the smaller tour boats rockier than the bigger boats? We are traveling to Maui in August but I’ll be way preggo by then. Wondering what will be more comfortable at that point.
It isn't rocky at all when we go out with them whale watching and snorkeling. They don't recommend pregnant passengers to come but call them for details!
Hi, I have booked this tour, however I notice there are 2 options - one with 2 snorkel spots, and another with 3 snorkel spots. Do you think 6 hours was a bit much on the boat in and out of the water ? Also, the marine life doesn't look drastically different from one spot to another or am I mistaken ?
We liked the 6 hour tour with the 3 spots. It was a nice pace and got to see more of Lanai's coastline. They change up the spots based on visibility and other factors. If 6 hours seems like too much, do the 4 hour tour! have fun!
What day did you shoot the Mala (Lahaina) snorkel? Our family was there in Maui May 31 - Jun 7 and did a scuba dive at Mala on Wednesday with MANY turtles and reef sharks.
we didn't get seasick nor anyone else. It was a smooth ride. Doesn't mean it can't happen. The only time I've gotten seasick is a shark cage on Oahu, that was rough.

Molokini is a bust not many fish and too many tour boats. I see more fish at black rock and its free.

I just returned from ultimate Lanai trip. I saw spinner dolphins, whales and swam next to turtles! Best snorkeling trip I have ever taken!

not at all, still water in those spots and one doesn't have to go far from the raft to see good stuff.

June 1st, Tuesday, we went out on the snorkel tour. Just missed ya! Others in our snorkel tour saw a reef shark resting at Mala! Such a great place.
We are coming in November during Thanksgiving. We are bringing are 9 year old grandson. Is this something he could do?
If he is a strong swimmer, I would think a 9 year old would enjoy the day out on the raft.
