divinepunishment same reason my grandma had it. for us grandkids to play when we were at her house. My grandma was like 50 and she wanted us to have fun at her house
This Game Had such AWESOME WICKED WEAPONS in it!!! TUROK 1 and 2, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were the best shooter games. Who remembers playing this before WWF came on??!!! 90s Kicked ass!!
I know, I can’t believe they added waypoints. That ruins the game. That’s like adding waypoints to every resident evil, Metroid, castelvania game. _”This is where the key is to the next locked door...”_
I remember I got this game when I was 13 had my mom get me the game. I started playing and was instantly hooked. There is something sinister but brilliant about the game the whole futuristic plot and the way the weapons tear the enemies apart. My mom got a glimpse of it and threw the game in the garbage. I managed to retrieve it and played whenever she wasn’t around. I remember playing this game after midnight+ it was really the feeling back then
Nocturne 75 the only way to escape it is by running before it is fired and or jumping into a pool of water, but before you realize it, you're already dead lol.
Besides goldeneye this was one of the dopest shooters and hell games for the N64. This game really brings me back! I sure wish it would get a true remaster.
It was probably to get you comfortable with controls and different enemy types. It's a tutorial in the beginning. Later on you understand where to go and do.
We had 10 kids from our apartments come over to watch my then 10 year old son play this through. We got pizzas, sodas, popcorn and it was a blast. Good times.
I use to be terrified of the mud in level 3 because of the worms. They actually made it easier in the remaster by taking one of the satchel charges out of the mud.
Man this takes me back to my high school days of '97-98 when this game was new. I remember borrowing this and Ocarina of Time from my best friend several times before I bought them myself. Really glad it got a remaster.
BIG KRAZY 187 Wow lol I can see that now though since for the first time as an adult I'm noticing how much blood there actually is in it. One thing that did stand out to me back then was the brain eating weapon called the cerebral bore I think it was called. It was both awesome and gross at the same time, haha.
Best in the series. It was ahead of its time ! I remember making enemies fight each other, then they turn back to me lol. Entrails are some annoying assholes, but watching them fight the raptoids and mantids are entertaining! Still my top 5 of all time game(#1)
This looks so beautiful, omg. This game is part of my childhood as well. Hearing Adon again put a smile on my face. Perhaps a nostalgic a tear or two. 😢😂🤧😊
Honestly it's tough to play this on the N64. The control layout, the lack of quality maps, the fog that doesn't let you see anything... does not age well at all. You are better off playing the remaster.
Ahhh this takes me back. Back to a time before loot boxes and microtransactions, where fps games were epic adventures with sprawling levels, and a vast array of weapons to play with.
After that first level u thought oh shit I did it, but you have no idea. This is the greatest “Where the fuck do I go” game of all time. Next to Ocarina of Time.
This game was epic when i was a kid. Still is! The music, sound effects, the ways things died and how regular arrows stuck and stayed in an enemy's body...yeah.
Electricshrock I got turok on my xbox 1 and I still play it even tho I finished it btw when I didn't know how to play I didn't collect those yellow things and I only had 1 life most of the time
Playing this on my N64 right now, one of the best accidental purchases I ever made, couldn't get Zelda Ocarina at that time in late 98, was bought this as a back up and man I was blown away. It was just a little too much for this system, but if you know how to stealth the frame rate is fine, as long as you have the expansion pak, but yeah the framerate can get choppy if too much happens at once. It was just amazing what they fit into that game. Hive of the mantids, I'm taking you next. This game totally deserves a remake, even the first one, anything after garbage.
I would buy a retail collectors edition with the first 3 iterations of Turok + Rage Wars. Nobrainer. Turok 2 is in my opinion one of the best FPS of all time. Turok 3 is also very underrated in my opinion. I still own all of them for my beloved N64.

Back then where we played the in-depth game without a map. Best childhood game ever. I was in Africa as at the time I played this game. I had no memory card and the power failure was terrible. So get to start from the beginning every time the power goes off😂 It was torture...until one day I went very farrrrrrrr and I got really scared at one phase and they ate me alive phewwww.
I miss Turok, this game could seriously be MEGA, if they remade it. I loved this game, they could make it like a game set in the Triassic or Jurassic period and you just have to live and survive among dinosaurs
I remember when I've first played this game with my big bro, the first thing that came into my mind with most of Turok 2's items, weapons, and level layout reminded me of DOOM. Now that I'm watching this, it reminded me of my first experience of this game on the N64 a long time ago.
This game was the shit. Really raised the bar for death animations. Plus it was fun and dark as hell. I like how every level got creepier and creepier. Straight from the jump at the Port of Adia you're literally rescuing children trapped in cages from Reptilians. Lair of the Blind Ones and Hive of the Mantids were my fav. This game did not fuck around in the 'unfriendly foe' category. Sound effects, music, and weapons were great too. 9/10 for it's time.
I don't see any Remaster here. That was the exact same feeling, fps and graphics for me when I was playing this game for the first time. I would even say that N64 had much bigger potential than Playstation at it's time. Potential ruined by cartridges and their small capacity. It is just unbelievable that their MAX capacity was 64MB when Playstation had 700MB on their CDs. 64MB VS 700MB with 3xtimes faster N64 processor. Imagine if Nintendo could have same drive? OMG This is just beyond me how developers were able to create such a games with lack of console performance. Aiming on N64 controller was a mother***ing challenge like whole Turok. Remarkable game
I remember that when I was kid I beat Turok 1 on a single day. I had to play the game numerous times until I could memorize where all the keys were. It was a pain in the ass to pass a game back in the past when one did not have a rumble pack or a memory card. Nowadays, the new players have a lot of facilities that people like me did not have.
omg watching this shit was like a time machine the gameplay the sound FX wow this game was soo good, and it still was slept on a lil bit at the time lol
This game is fucking magical. One time my N64 stopped working for months until I had a strange out of body/lucid dream where I got up from my bed and started playing it title screen music and all. When I woke up I saw myself and the screen slowly fade away and then I went to the N64 to play it. I figured it was still broken but I shit you not I put the cartridge in flipped the switch and the N64 worked. It was like some kind of parallel universe convergence type shit.
The nostalgia is real...i remember playing this and goldeneye at grandma house. The cheat for all the guns was BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND
Good fucking times man 😂 loved playing this game at grandmas
Why did your grandma have fucking Turok? 🤣
divinepunishment same reason my grandma had it. for us grandkids to play when we were at her house. My grandma was like 50 and she wanted us to have fun at her house

Ahh turok...the only game where a man nuts while climbing

Hahahaha!!!!

😂😂😂
This Game Had such AWESOME WICKED WEAPONS in it!!! TUROK 1 and 2, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were the best shooter games. Who remembers playing this before WWF came on??!!! 90s Kicked ass!!
I used to get up early to play Perfect Dark before school lol
Same here i still play it now and then
I remember playing those games as well as rage wars and battletanx till the next morning while eating my fries with green or purple ketchup lol
Those were the best times ever!!!
Heck yeah taking turns playing turok with friends and playing 3-4 split screen on golden eye having a great time
I remember every sound effect like it was yesterday
Classic ❤️ My child hood right here !
You had an HD remastered version of Turok in your childhood?
I remember picking up the extra life, and always pissing my pants when Turok screamed "I AM TUROK" out of nowhere
That's a lot of piss!
This game always scared the piss out of me. Especially the Dinoids jumping out of nowhere lol.
What a coward! Lol. I feel sorry for your mother.
Whatchu say about my mama? Huh?
Hahahahaha!!!!!!
That Port of Adia theme really takes me back. Good times.
Bewareoblivionisathand
That's probably one of the most memorable cheat codes of all time.
I'll never forget it 👌🏻 about to download this now $20 is a steal.
Some people think $20 is too much for this classic.
BIG KRAZY 187 but I bet they don't have a problem spending it on loot boxes in their so called "AAA" game lol
lol
Try doing it with no objective markers and no checklist like we had to in 98.
That made this game impossible to beat. Ive had it since i was a kid, to this day, never beat it.
@@axela.9247 I did it perfectly fine
This was one of my first games I could barely aim but I beat it
I know, I can’t believe they added waypoints. That ruins the game. That’s like adding waypoints to every resident evil, Metroid, castelvania game.
_”This is where the key is to the next locked door...”_
Lol
I remember I got this game when I was 13 had my mom get me the game. I started playing and was instantly hooked. The music would literally make my heart beat faster.....
Se perdió eso de las buenas bandas sonoras en juegos de este estilo
Turok 2 has one of the best soundtracks of all time, criminally underrated.
Ive always said this. I haven't heard a better soundtrack in a video game
I never skip an Oblivion Chamber because of the music.
Cerebral bore is the sickest weapon ever!
yeah it's pretty nasty!
Dudeeeeee cerebral bore!!!! Could be a sick band name too
Nocturne 75 the only way to escape it is by running before it is fired and or jumping into a pool of water, but before you realize it, you're already dead lol.
I like the Scorpion launcher and the nuke
Nocturne 75 Loved that gun, I always ran straight to it in multiplayer
Besides goldeneye this was one of the dopest shooters and hell games for the N64. This game really brings me back! I sure wish it would get a true remaster.
"Thank you Turok" love it :)
You have to admire how long the first mission of the game is.
Funnily enough port of adia is the shortest level in turok 2
Impressive how they managed to fit a game like this in a N64 cartridge
To be fair theres only about six levels in total
It was probably to get you comfortable with controls and different enemy types. It's a tutorial in the beginning. Later on you understand where to go and do.
We had 10 kids from our apartments come over to watch my then 10 year old son play this through. We got pizzas, sodas, popcorn and it was a blast. Good times.
One of the best N64 titles back in the day!
its funny how spooky this game was
Which part is the spookiest?
I use to be terrified of the mud in level 3 because of the worms. They actually made it easier in the remaster by taking one of the satchel charges out of the mud.
Ikr, the game had some survival horror elements like footsteps, enemies surprise attacks and the soundtrack, even though turok 2 was a shooter
The level intro sequences made this so fucking spooky. Imagine it was like in Dinosaur Hunter without those. Would suck.
Still is
Yo that intro to the came unlocked a deep hidden memory
Man this takes me back to my high school days of '97-98 when this game was new. I remember borrowing this and Ocarina of Time from my best friend several times before I bought them myself. Really glad it got a remaster.
I let one of my friends borrow it when it first came out and he got traumatized lol.
Yeah, he found the cerebral bore disturbing but satisfying at the same time lol
BIG KRAZY 187 Haha awesome. It is the most memorable weapon for alot of people for a reason.
ConsciousCloud Hell yea! Remember fuckin dinosaurs up with a shotgun??!?!?
Best in the series. It was ahead of its time ! I remember making enemies fight each other, then they turn back to me lol. Entrails are some annoying assholes, but watching them fight the raptoids and mantids are entertaining! Still my top 5 of all time game(#1)

@@rino4583 nope! You were right! And it was a spectacular scene EVERY time it happens!!
90s games made your chest hair grow.

Back in the day it was Turok multiplayer on 50'' projection TV, Pizza and beer bought with a fake licence. Oh how I miss the late 90's.
still have this game makes me want to dig out my 64
Honestly it's tough to play this on the N64. The control layout, the lack of quality maps, the fog that doesn't let you see anything... does not age well at all. You are better off playing the remaster.
They really need to make another Turok game
not that bs shit we got on 360. They need to give it the same treatment doom2016 had
Let’s hope a Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion remaster can happen!
@@hourz this right here
@@hourz omfg that'd be insaaaaane. Holy crap. That's my new #1 hype request.

I remember...using the Tek Bow and zooming in on the children with there hands over their faces......
NOW THAT look is EVIL.
Where have we had to save children before? Hmmm?
Turok!! Man.. I feel older now😥.. But its a real pleasure to see this❤️Old school baby❤️
My childhood right there.
Now all they need are Turok 3, Rage Wars and Evolution and i've got my golden games back
CaptainCorpse172 if they bring back rage wars I would go insane for it, especially if its online multiplayer.
CaptainCorpse172 2 and evolution were my fave
CaptainCorpse172 don't think it's gonna happen for them because I don't think they are that popular but worth the remake though
Turok Rage Wars my second favorite
Turok 2 seeds of evil is Firts
Dude, Rage Wars was my shit as a kid. Still is today...I tried playing again recently but I didn't know how to change the inverted controls.

Before UA-cam lol
This game you needed a guide.
I got the strategy somewhere man I miss those times!! I was born in 86! I

If they added fortnite skins to turok they would.
I always liked how the arrows stuck inside of whatever you were shooting.
I was 7 when I played it, that best game on n64
Omg how can I forget about this game glad it randomly popped up in my recommended. Thank you for this. My childhood was great
I’m glad that my video reminded you of your childhood. Thanks for watching.
I gotta get this. I remember it was so tough without cheats. I hated Hive of the Mantids without cheat codes haha
In going to download this next week, also turok 1, this brings back memories.
I could never beat that one cause i would get lost. Always at the same part too
Lair of the blind ones was the worst

Yeah, I really liked Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion. I wonder why no one really talks about it.
I think a reason could be the exclusivity for the N64 at the end of its lifecicle while Turok 1 and 2 were also on PC. As far as I know Turok 1+2 are equally discussed and praised very frequently (with Turok 2 mostly considered to be the best entry within the franchise) while ragewars and Turok 3 don´t get the deserved attention by most fans and critique alike.
It seems to me like Rage Wars is well-regarded as well. It’s just Turok 3 that people seem to not have played.
