How to adjust Mercedes Benz W203 Handbrake 2003-2007. C ,E ,G & S class.

Hi guys, this video is based on how to adjust handbrake of Mercedes Benz. It’s same in most of the the Mercedes Benz Models.
It’s saloon car , go to back seats pull them up & Remove Carpet. Then you will see 1 plate with 3 Bolts, Remove that plate by undo 3 bolts. You will see 1 bolt (see video) turn that bolt clockwise. Please be careful while adjusting bolt. Only adjust accordingly . How much it needs to be. Don’t over tight the bolt.
Most cases you will need to turn 5-10 times. But it always depend on requirements.
Please be careful while adjusting handbrake.

Thanx, today i removed the rear brake drum and cleaned/checked the shoes etc.
So now i will investigate this area to clean and grease up !!
All done for prevention on my 2008, CLK !!

The right way is to tighten it from the brakes, but i guess that's a temporary fix.

I would agree, as today i removed both rear brake drums and cleaned and checked, but one came off easy the other difficult. So there was an imbalance !
So ive adjusted it now at the shoes.
This has now shown me that i should check here, and now clean and grease everything to prevent a problem @@

You only needs do this if your car’s handbrake is not working when you press full pedal down . Tightening bolts thread will adjust your car handbrake and it will work as it should.

Look from under the car, it will be right above the rear diff
