There is a key difference between a nice Baal Tefilah and a Chazzan. While the 3 of them are truly beautiful Baalei Tefilah and might possess certain elements of a Chazzan, I think the real title Chazzan here goes to Nissim Saal by far. He has the mature full voice (not raspy or hoarse), the wide range (hitting the high C's effortlessly), the flexibility and the manner how he maneuvers through the piece, he is truly a voice of the golden age of Chazzanus. Moshe Koussevitzky would be proud of his rendition and enjoy listening to him, I'm not sure about the others. He is great also in the low and mid range. He also sings these masterpieces accurately. I don't think the other ones could even attempt to sing these difficult pieces. Some of them remind me of Avraham Fried orReb Shlomo Carlebach z"l doing some Chazzanus. Nissim is an authentic Chazzan and not an imitation of a Chazzan. We haven't heard someone like him in years in the world of Chazzanus. My advice to you: Keep on training, broaden your repertoire and variety of pieces. You will be world famous very soon! Good Luck!
The singers are brilliant - However the musical accompaniment is just 100% perfect. He accompanies - He doesnt overdo it or under do it. It makes the listening so much more pleasant. What an artist.
Fantastic! Totally agree with LYH who offered his comments 6 months ago. Nissim Saal is incredibly gifted. I could listen to him endlessly….He was superb a few weeks ago as well at a concert in Yerushalayim with Helfgot. Thank you so much for this listening pleasure!
you are all invited to the ECA Convention at the Rumbach Shul in Budapest .The acoustics are fantastic and i would love you all to show us that chazanus is alive and well not just on the concert stage but also in shul .
