TMC The metals Company is a fantastic company with a great vision. I have all the faith in the world in them and what they can do for our environment and for the countries that will benefit from the mining of these nodules off their shores.
Love how how much rnd you guys do to ensure the future carbon emissions aren't a factor and that you're adding to the scientific data that has little to data on the oceans ecosystems
I’m invested here! I hope this pans out well! I believe it could be a huge opportunity for early investors. I have no clue though what’s gonna be, and how wall-street will react to this company. Tesla has such a high valuation based not only on car production but bc of technology and the advancement of AI. Will this company only be valued on the current production or will this also be future looking and realise gains earlier than full capacity mining?
At least to get a more critical understanding of the flip side of this nodule collection business coin and for a more honest presentation of deep sea , please read the following book: SCALES, Helen (2021). "The Brilliant Abyss : Exploring the Majestic Hidden Life of the Deep Ocean and the Looming Threat That Imperils It". New York : Atlantic Monthly Press. The book provides a fascinating, broad and profound review of current knowledge and issues about deep ocean. It is organized in four parts: 1) Explore, 2) Depend, 3) Exploit, 4) Preserve. Reading the 3 chapters of « Exploit » is troubling: "Fishing Deep", then "The Eternal Junkyard" and the very troubling "What's Mine is Yours".
I really hope, it works out for TMC. The climate crises will hit mankind so hard, that many people will suffer or die. At 4 °C warming the planet might only be able to feed 1 Billion people. Don´t want to think, what that means in detail. Either we get above the hill of energy transformation to renewables or.......not. The not is not an option for me. For the transition of the global 85% of fossile fuel usage we need all metals we can get hold of. Later we can live by the recycling, but first there is the hill to get over..... in almost no time. We have been waiting already too long.
So much FUD. Deep sea mining has by far the lowest environmental impact of all mining operations. It's literally a matter of picking up nodules off the sterile abyssal plains of the ocean floors, bringing them to the surface and melting them down. Nodules are nearly 100% usable metals. No tailings to get put back in the earth or oceans. Much of the FUD is funded by those making their income from huge, copper strip mines in South America.
This is so awesome. We need metals from somewhere, and this is way better than strip mining, child labor, etc. GO TMC, GO!

Demand for metals, especially nickel is off the charts!! This is the way!!
Sustainability at its finest
Each video is more and more impressive. The future is exciting! (And Metallic)
Keep up the wonderful work!
Does anyone know why the nodules collected are so small compared to the average size being described as “potato sized?”
Awesome job! How much copper is in each nodule btw? Percentage-wise?
I heard 2% copper.
1.8% nickel
0.2% cobalt
30% manganese.
Fact check me though
Lessgoooo guys
