People saying "How did they not notice" clearly don't understand this whole scene at all.
Ibiki and the Chunnin examiners know that you're cheating. The point was never to cheat without being caught, it was to cheat like a proper Shinobi and not to "oh! let me just look at the guy next to me"
I thought you need to cheat like a proper shinobi while still not getting caught
@@arthurleywin6448 that's the premise for the test, but you have to understand that in no way shape or form would a group of genin outsmart elite chunnin and a jonin

Keep in mind that there were a small few including Kakashi, Itachi and Minato who passed the exam without cheating. They knew the answers.

To be honest, the question that sasuke reads out loud is on height and distance... That's 8th grade stuff In real life. Coming from this, in the fight between shikamaru and temari, she calculated the approximate range of his shadows by taking the height of the sun into account. It's the same stuff, we get similar sums in our school curriculum
Minato had the highest score in chunin exams ever ....and second was itachi

It’s safe to assume that shisui didn’t cheat since he’s the one who trained Itachi and is the youngest joning ever also gaara had the fastest time for the forest of death so minato could still be beaten by the next Gen
This really was one of the best ways to showcase a lot of the characters powers for the first time. Just tiny glimpses of what they can do and we got to see them all in action in the later 2 stages of the exam.
The Chunin Exam will probably remain one of my most favorite arcs.

Man I forgot how Naruto used to emphasize the subtle things. They were very ambitious in the early stages to get people interested and succeeded
agree, this is what made series great in the first place. Unfortunately it became more Dragonball-esque as it progressed.

@SouL-ob5wx I disagree. it's natural progression. The power was introduced to us gradually and appropriately. We were new to that world and the full extent. You made assumptions about the world based upon Naruto's limited perspective. Example: whenever the series went back and covered Konohamaru, it felt like old school Naruto with everything scaled down to fit his world. Naruto has always had Kurama inside of him so he was always capable of these things but had no clue how to utilize this power until it was taught to him. Natural progression
@@ShakaZ3D It wasn't though. The series which people fell in love with was not about people who could destroy entire cities within seconds. Initially, the series was about shinobi, who are not supposed to be that strong. They were supposed to be sneaky. The shippuden world did not even exist at the time when naruto came out. Early arcs like the chunnin exam were creative and made us realize who shinobi actually were. They were people who had to be creative and sneaky due to their limited ability. You're talking about the shippuden world as if it had already existed since naruto came to be, but it didn't. The creator designed the world gradually as the series went on over the years. Another big one, destiny. The entirety of naruto tried to convince us that "fate" did not matter and that hard work overcomes it(As seen with naruto convincing neji during the chunin exams to let go of his perception of "fate" and also rock lee and might guy becoming that strong while not being able to use ninjutsu) while shippuden is entirely about fate. It wasn't even about naruto having the 9 tails inside him, they made him the reincarnation of Ashura! He just recieved super powerful abilities out of nowhere which disregarded his hard work. Naruto also talked a lot about teamwork but when it came down to it in shippuden, it was always only him doing everything because of the awful power-scaling which only enabled him and sasuke to be strong enough to take on the biggest new enemy(take the pain fight, him one-shotting kakuzu, and do i even need to talk about the 4th ninja war which was mainly only about naruto and sasuke?)
Also we can all agree that Dozu definitely had the coolest method of gathering the answers. Seriously just listening into the vibrations of the pencil patterns is such a cool ability I wished he lived longer lol

lol no. She was just being selfish, like in the pain arc. This isn't a "look and cheat" quiz. She was hurting him again by trying to help him. If they were caught, Naruto would have lost his dream of becoming a Hokage forever. Sakura was the only person who supported Naruto in a healthy and realistic way from the very beginning.

actually it was not shown if hinata was using her byakugan. So it was a 50/50 that she actually answered the question on her own lmao. Even if she did cheat, like everyone else, she figured out that you had to cheat without getting caught. So i dont know how sakura is the "most" intellegent
@@gilbertluong3526 Hinata has byakugan we never see her activate it but it doesn't mean she didn't use it to cheat even neji was using it to cheat and he's a genuis even Sasuke was using sharingan lol Sakura didn't cheat and aced the test that's why ino mind transfer into her to get the test results which she then gives to choji and shikamaru and shikamaru is also a genuis

The only bullshit I call is WHEN THE FUCK did Temari have the chance to hook up her wiring? Like I can understand the concept of the wires being too thin to see properly (and just drawn for the audience to see), but even then.. she'd have to at some point get them connected to the mirrors.
