I’m assuming with all the new damage added to the game recently that the speed run can go a bit quicker. Have y’all tried it since release of new content recently?
Hey! I've stopped raid speedrunning for now due to IRL commitments, but managed to get my IH time to 15:30 before retiring :D The new gear does save small time (a few seconds), but mostly it just adds a bit more consistency to strats (for instance, Williams is now one shottable with a single shooter thanks to busy little bee as opposed to the 3 shots it used to take). The reason it's not a direct time save is that IH speeds are mostly mechanic driven vs a dps check.
Yeah, open doors is necessary for sub-17 Iron Horse speedruns. Until we hit that mark, we didn't use it. All top teams run it for a reason, and it doesn't make the raid magically easy - if anything it does the exact opposite.
A lot of raid speedrunning at the moment revolves around negotiators interaction with boss immunity, which is the basis for the first two boss strategies. Happy to answer any questions on any of the strategies and builds we used to put this time down. Feel free to message me on discord - Hutchler#1308 :)
I'm not sure what you're referring to. At no point in this run did we cheat, and all boss kill strategies are carried out using interactions that the speedrun community has found between certain skills (achilles), gear sets (negotiators) and exotics (dodge city, regulus and ravenous). If you have any questions about any of the strategies used or want to try to speedrun the raid, feel free to hit me up on discord - Hutchler#1308

@@ShapedCobra I wouldn't really call open doors a glitch in the same way I would call the dps turret thing, sticky ammo etc, a glitch. To get open doors, all you have to do is create a raid at the white house - then the doors are just open. There's literally nothing more to it. To keep the doors open, the team can't hit a loading screen at the same time (so no wipes, group fast travels etc). It's accessible to everyone and requires no setup other than creating a raid in the normal way, so everyone is welcome to come and take the record which 'means nothing'. 🙂
