I made many of theses in the past with no leaf springs and the rear trailing length of the axle arm was longer than the front arm . it made for easier trailing for the two wheels. With no leaf springs the trailer sits lower and still pulls smoothly over bumps. Those trailers were my pickup trucks moving trailer.

Rocker beam suspension has been used on HD trucks for years. Suspension is very smooth. If you need more load capacity install heavier springs. If the rest of the suspension will support it. It’s only as strong as the weakest link.
Yes sir, drove a fuel truck with a walking beam suspension, keeps better traction than some other air-bag suspensions do.
I think the fact that a Chrysler 300 pulling a trailer is cooler than the trailer itself

*Я немного не успел доделать этот вариант подвески, а вы уже выложили!!) Резино-жгутовая ось. Срезается рычаг или делается из квадрата 50х50. Профильная труба 100х50х3, а лучше со стенкой 4мм. Синхронная сквозная сверловка с отслеживанием перпендикуляра. Лучше на координатно-расточном. А ещё лучшее откалибровать плазму/лазер и вперёд! Только в путь. Трубу оси стремянками к рессоре и вперёд! И да, лучше подобрать короткий амортизатор, чтобы поставить вертикально. И кстати, между рессорой можно воткнуть ещё пружину, а лучше пневмо-подушку... И будет VIP-подвеска!) Главное подобрать рессору правильную, и за резиновые жгуты оси переживаю... В общем нужны испытания. Жгуты на таких длинных рычагах не рассчитывались разработчиком.... Поэтому неизвестно как (сколько) ходить будут... А вы что скажете?*
Давно пора сделать и выпускать такую конструкцию подвески , проста как пять копеек .
Не всё так просто. Там резиновые жгуты. В россии нет стабильной экструзии резины. отсюда проблемы с качеством. и еще не уверен в прочностных характеристках это подвески - слишком большое плечо хода....
@@BagemRuStudio-Trailers , Не думаю что там жгуты стоят , да и не должны они там стоять им нет смысла там быть , предполагаю что там принцип обычного балансира , я сам достаточно давно использую прицепы к коммерческой технике , к газеле , были прицепы и на рессорах и на резиножгуте , в данное время его использую , поменял бы с удовольствием резиножгут на такую подвеску .
Поверьте мне. Это резино-жгутовая ось! Причем фирмы Кнотт Аутофлекс. Труба квадратная.. 4 резиновых жгута с каждой стороны

Проще и надёжнее на балансирах сделать. Две оси подразумевают серьезную нагрузку, а эта конструкция если и выдержит, то сильно деформируется
@@Вячеслав3962 они хотели тут совместить плавность балансира, с двумя точками опор к раме, а не как в КАМАЗе рама в одной точке давит на балансир.
В принципе, если добавить а-образные рычаги, с ногами к ступицам, а вершина А через шаровую опору к оси, то неплохо будет.

Нет тяги панара чтоб зафиксировать тележку от сильного продольного смешения.
И от продольного держат только болты крепящие рессоры, а они ведь не должны быть намертво прикручены...
Хотя там может сайленты...

И что здесь такого. Я ещё в детстве собирал машинки из конструктора и подвеску делал такой, получался вездеход 8*8 с независимыми колесами. Мне нравилось как колёса преодолевали неровности а платформа в целом оставалась горизонтально.
Вот и у меня вопрос, ГДЕ ИННОВАЦИИ, если У Кразов и Камазов так-же реализовано.

may be fantastic, but I wouldn't call almost empty, and a 4 inch curb at 5 mph, "most demanding conditions"

As fitted to the Scammell lorries built before the second world war, with a transverse front spring they had awesome off road ability, check out the vids on the tube.
This is not a good idea if you have a blow out on one tire the other tire will hit the underside of the deck and possibly blow out as well

i have trailers with 1 and 3 separate axles. and yes the 3 axle one have 6 brake drums. working shocks and a thorson bar is all you need to make a good riding trailer. AND the trailer get to be lower then with a leaf spring.
Same physics as the Equalizer spring setup. Although I think this one may be simpler.

Totally defeats the load carrying capacity of a dual axle system. The leaf springs in this video would be lucky to carry 1 tonne.
not to mention tire load capacity, on uneven surface all the weight could go on two wheels because of rigid connection between all four.
@@VitaliyMonastyrev Apparently you did not watch the video. There is a pivot where the beam attaches to the single axle. This ensures the load is distributed to both wheels at each axle end.
This is better then 4 individual springs on a dual axle.
If you drive over something a dual axle will have all the weight on one axle, until the other wheel is able to reach the ground again.
Leaf springs has been able to carry many tons of weight for 100 years, why should it not work on this trailer?
The pivot system also keeps the load equal on the wheels, no matter if the trailer is front heavy or not.
The dual axle i use will block the wheels when braking over speedbumps, because the wheels leave the ground at low load. This pivot system keeps road contact.
I am guessing 2 larger shockabsorbers would also be cheaper then 4 small ones.
This trailer has no brakes so in Europe you can only pull a total weight of 750kg without brakes. So doenst need to carry 1 ton
@@VitaliyMonastyrev these trailers have a max weight of 750kg sins he has no brakes. On this trailer both axles can have 750kg so there is no problem because they can handel the weight by themselves

You would be paying for 4 wheels/tires to do same job as what 2 would be capable of doing. I don't see the point, but it is different, so I guess a novice buyer might be impressed by the sales pitch.
all 4 tires carry an equal load... you just need to double the spring capacity , this is a walking beam assembly, been used in heavy duty trucks for over 50 years... at first look I see your logic but you are probably thinking it is the same spring as a single wheel axle but it's not, it's built with twice the capacity so the tires can carry the same load as a traditional axle configuration

As with any other blown tire, break the lugs, lift the trailer, remove the blown tire, replace it with a spare, let the trailer down, gather your tools and continue on your way. I have owned a trailer with this configuration for over 20 years, have had blown tires on the front and rear, never any problems changing the tires. Have hauled tractor with heavy bush hog or heavy disc on many occasions without any problems.

I have a tandem axle trailer with air suspension. Works a whole lot better. Is aloud to carry a lot more then the cars can pull in Europe. Drives a whole lot better then with this.

Bogus design... You have two tires supported by only one spring which actually has no dampening on either tires movement other than the entire axle itself...? I can easily see how this will create excessive bouncing of the two tires, which is horrible for tire reliability.

They’ve been being used in big rigs, trailers, and heavy duty military vehicles for a long time.
It’s a tried and true design.
