What a crazy game. S&V is all about the big crazy plays and I love how this script just adds to it by mixing in Trouble Brewing. Really fun script idea.
4:54 "twin saint kinda redundant" it seems redundant because the twin condition already means if you execute the good player you lose as town, so whether the good player is a saint or not doesn't matter.
It seems weird to me that everyone were convinced both that Eevee was the evil twin and that Malashaan was evil despite him getting the vote off if Skillz who people believe to be the saint
Alejo said the voting tool lagged when they tried to rise up. :( But Jams had lost their ghost vote earlier because of lag, so both teams ended up missing out.
Sometimes I watch these, where the evil team has just been pure chaos behind the scenes and you get Jams and Navean just calling every movement for the entire game and its like how the heck did they call every single movement? Sometimes I swear I want to see what screens they are looking at because most of this is just straight up watching the stream level of confounding. I know they are just really good but like how the heck do they call out multiple moves across multiple nights out of nowhere like that.
I'll be honest, as much fun as it was to watch Madeline try and become evil, the plan seemed to have been the demise of the team. Making eevee a witch and alejo a fengu or something would have likely done more damage than an additional evil I think. But it was fun to watch :)
late to the party but the fortune teller ability doesnt say a player registers as a demon, it says it registers falsely. so it seems like the way Ben ran it is correct.
You mention in the description and in twitch chat that the last game was truly amazing, but what game was that? If it's so epic, I assume it's somewhere on UA-cam.
Would have just killed jams in the turn Alejo died. Wouldn't have outed that the demon died/jumped and the empath 1 could have been Richie afterwards. Not giving away too much but giving Navean a chance to still figure it out.
@@BloodontheClocktower - perhaps it’s not best to call the Pit Hag a “toxic character” so much as it’s a useful character for someone who is toxic. The ability to change multiple characters can be frustrating when trying to solve the game. I will say that I actually really disliked S&V with the Pit Hag/FangGu combo until the rules were changed to limit one FangGu jump per game. It makes things far less frustrating.
I’m not sure I understood the effect of the monk when Jaqui jumped on Madeleine? Should he not have prevented the jump altogether? Doesn’t the monk ability « protect » the demon against itself in this case? One of the best games I’ve seen!
@@arthursimsa9005 oh I misunderstood, I see. In that case it is because there was no longer a monk because they were transformed it goes away immediately even though Ben had left the token.
I was watching an older video and there was mention of chris and evee having a channel with some new scripts being played. Does anyone have a link? I cant remember the name.
the evil team was hilariously out of sync this game which is hilarious given that their strategies (if communicated) would have been so damn good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the game on Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/1406689028?t=02h24m31s It should be live there for another ~35 days before it disappears. It'll be on UA-cam forever but. ;)
I’ve said this before on videos, but it’s kinda not cool when good players just decide to play for evil. There was no reason for Madeline to just play for evil from day 1, in my opinion it’s not in the spirit of the game. Bad example for players everywhere.
I was thinking this, people just going for a play because it's "funny" or "interesting" even though it doesn't benefit your team in any way, and even worse, hurting your team, seems mean. If good players just decided to not help for example or even worse, actively try to make good lose, it just seems like, it's as you said, not in the spirit of the game.
I don't entirely agree. While, sure it's for definitely bad form to just tank your team for the luls, there's a number of characters that don't just play sub-optimally but are *designed* to. Snake charmer, goon and politician are all incentivised to play with the knowledge that being on the winning team is might be more valuable than the team you are currently on being the one that wins. Admittedly, the monk isn't typically one of those characters but blackmailing the evil team into making you one of them is as legitimate as deliberately hitting the demon as snake charmer or lying about whether you're the goon. Having a plan to swap isn't necessarily bad manners. It even opens her up to be backstabbed by the evil team later. It even opens up extra bluffs. An evil team that finds an outsider may lie about there being a Fang Gu and ask them to play along with the promise of bringing them on board eventually. Hell, this is the entire point of the Mezepheles.
@@Cyrinil142 I understand that people do play those roles in those ways. I still don't necessarily agree with it. The game is balanced around there being a number of good players to help good team, a number of misleading characters "outsiders" and then evil team. Snake Charmers jumping ship, is still info for the good team in the end. Snake Charmers can play by looking for demon specifically AND still help good. Goon is an outsider, and is meant to hurt good as all outsider should. An outsider trying to get fang gu jumped is still an outsider hurting good team so it's expected. A monk, trying to get changed to an outsider specifically so they can join evil, is none of those things.
I agree. I am really glad that it didn't end up making the game unsolvable, but I would be really upset if someone on my team chooses to tank the team just for their own fun. I would probably refuse to play with people like Madeline in a game like this because you are committing potentially 3+ hours of your time to game that can be an unfun slog due to one person being kind of selfish.
I think a twin playing for a chance to be on the evil team is fine. Being an outted twin can be very frustrating because you can become ostracized. So in this case, this is a perfectly valid play - especially with a fang gu/pit hag

But it means that you can't risk executing the evil tween, even when good one is dead.

It's a shame at the end there. Eevee did call for an Evil team rise up. But I guess it was too late or Aleho missed it
Alejo said the voting tool lagged when they tried to rise up. :( But Jams had lost their ghost vote earlier because of lag, so both teams ended up missing out.
I believe a couple of evil had already used their dead votes

even later but this also means if the red herring becomes a good demon they register as not the demon!
The Plan!
The jinx for Cere and UT must have been eliminated since this video was uploaded. The Fang Gu ability has been updated, also.
“Find that wreck-loose”
GG to Richie for the Never Ever Gag
This game was kinda just on auto though. Good won an hour in, Jaqui and Alejo sealed the only outs with their missed votes.
I’ve always preferred “Brewing Violets” as the name for this one lol

Ordinarily, I despise the toxic nature of the Pit Hag, but Malashaan absolutely played that the best way I will probably ever see it played.
I'll bite. Why do you think the Pit Hag has a toxic nature? - Ben

I hate the evil virgin trick. I guess it rewards holding onto a pit hag until late game but it's so annoying.

Monk doesn't protect itself. Just the chosen player. Also they were the butler at the time because of the pit hag.
