They are fairly strong unit. Change the fluid every 20,000kms don't treat it like shit and it will keep on going. Plenty of 90 series prados out there with well over 500,000kms and not a single problem
Not much issue with the transfer cases. The chains come up occasionally, apparently stretched and needing replacement. Mine hasn't had that issue. Main faults are the LBJ failures (mostly preventable) and smashing unlocked diffs (also preventable).

Years ago I have wen i had a Nissan patrol I've sold it now mate have u tried the tracks at sumersby I got lost in there with my mates few years back
