Same here. I so missed watching Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show every Saturday night on Channel Nine back in the golden years of Television from the 90s, 2000s, Early 2010s
I remember as a kid, having such a huge crush on Jo-Beth Taylor. I was honestly excited to watch this show, not for the "sometimes funny" videos, but rather anticipating the new hot outfit she wears each episode.
Imagine that's your job: "im a 34yr old vocal technician and foley artist with 8yrs of industry experience. Im uh, mostly known for my work doing the silly baby voices for the clips they play on AFHV, and I also created the well known "shoop" and "bwamp" sound effects"
I remember when I was kid I used to watch this all time with me and my family whatever happened to this show because I would like for more shows like this
You'd probably never see these types of credits using the font 'Dom Casual' ever again. It was really the font every show used for their credits back in the 90s
4:50 Man: Do you know the song bind us together. Boy: Well if you’re about to sing, I’m gonna take a request, dad. Something from The Wiggles. Man: (singing) Bind us together, lord... Boy: Oh gee, that doesn’t sound like “Wake Up, Jeff!“ Although, it might wake up to dad. Holy Dooley!
lol, original vine fails. Only I remember someone saying most of these were American. So I guess you could say we just stole some American videos and dubbed them "for parody". It's still weird to hear the music now and to think, I used to always watch it, I would try to never miss an episode. Also, a lot of this stuff wouldn't make it on today's TV. I hate how we are so PC now.
Fuck I loved this show. The jingle came up in a quiz recently. And well, 11:25 did not age well. Waiting for the reee parade to feel the need to take offense on behalf of others who couldn't care less.
Every Saturday night, me, my Mum and my brother would go to my Nan & Pop's for tea (dinner) and watch this while we ate, man I miss those days
Simpler times 😢
I remember watching AFHVS on Tuesday nights
My sister, mum, dad and I would watch it with a stir fry dinner on the couch. Family bonding 👌♥️
What I’d give to go back to 1997.
A purer time.
My Childhood watching this every Saturday night this is before UA-cam existed
Same

I remember being in the studio audience back sometime between 1996 - 1997.
The vine fails of my childhood
I remember as a kid, having such a huge crush on Jo-Beth Taylor. I was honestly excited to watch this show, not for the "sometimes funny" videos, but rather anticipating the new hot outfit she wears each episode.
Yep lol
The first Australian reality show
2:58 I recognized that video on “America’s”funniest home videos. Glad to see that Australia gets into the laughing program like America
They'd always borrow a lot of American clips as filler when they didn't get enough Australian ones sent in.
THIS is the "Funniest Home Video Show" I remember :)
Imagine that's your job: "im a 34yr old vocal technician and foley artist with 8yrs of industry experience. Im uh, mostly known for my work doing the silly baby voices for the clips they play on AFHV, and I also created the well known "shoop" and "bwamp" sound effects"
omg the commentry is gold!!!
I remember going to TCN one time to be part of the AFHV audience and what a fun night it was watching 2 shows being recorded
me too
It felt so nostalgic
LoL I remember I sent my VHS and it cost $10.00 for a return! 😆
I remember when I was kid I used to watch this all time with me and my family whatever happened to this show because I would like for more shows like this
A TON of Quarter Pounders! I can smell the nostalgia!💖
man 97 good year the year I was born in 😊 and also funniest home videos definitely remember the 2000s episodes tho
You'd probably never see these types of credits using the font 'Dom Casual' ever again. It was really the font every show used for their credits back in the 90s
I know some shows that used Dom Casual as their credits, Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog, Brum (Season 1, 1991) and Animaniacs.
Dom casual was also used in two shows from ABC TV called Lift Off, Feral TV.
I think Dom Casual was also used for the credits of The Super Mario Bros Super Show as well.
Dom Casual was ALSO used in a game, "Marble Blast, or its expansion, Marble Blast Gold."
Back when Saturday nights where fun. AFHV into Hey Hey
Wasn't it on Tuesday nights?
That theme song will always be a banger 🔥🔥
This show was my childhood
My favourite TV show when Hey Hey was finished
Nowadays, an "entertainment package" is an iPhone lol
6:45 That address is engraved in my soul.
Oh my goodness the prizes Hahahah
Did you win any of them?
haha, they would be worth fuck all now!!
I remember wanting the entertainment pack so much as a kid/teen.
Worth about 5 bucks at cash converters now lol
I vaguely remember the theme song. I would've been 3 years old then in 97!
I remember winning first prize of white goods and vacuum cleaners. Wish I could find the video clip.
Wow! It's the same theme song as the American show but instead they say, "AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA.... this is YOU!"
Russell Solomon I noticed that when I watched the American version on the comedy channel
Best era...saturday disney, Beatrix potter tales on abc,the swan princess on video the list goes on.
Hey Zampa, do you have or know anyone who does have any of the 1998-2000 series of this show?
Oh wow, I can't believe I remember the music at 0:07 and the title card music.

1998...the year i was born later on.
I watched that show since I was a little kid it made me laugh and my favourite clip was backyard brawlers!
@ 9:52 the pot of gold that awaits at the end of AFHV year rainbow
You know what the sad thing is? Most of this is old footage is funnier than the modern garbage found on UA-cam and TikTok!
These videos are funny especially the ones with babies and animals
Is that JBT singing the theme? 😍
Holy Dooley!
the prizes are all tech that I grew up with.
Ah the good old days when we would wait till 6:30pm on Saturday night before Hey Hey It's Saturday came on
Coronavirus 😤😭 those were actually the good timessss
I love how it was called AUSTRALIAS funniest, but 98% of it was American lol
yeah, usually it's Americans stealing ideas from Australia
"With 50 grand you could pay off your mortgage"
Yeah righto
Hey, dude. Would you happen to have any episodes between 1998 - 2004?
Well at the moment, this is all I have. But if i find any from between 1998-2004 i'll let you know.
Ok cheers, man
Now known as Ozzy Man reviews 😅
3:20 - 😂!!
Way before Shelly Craft came in
Over 100K views. Nice
Getting shitmixed before there was a word for it
It was never as good after GK left.
The American videos were way way better than the Australian ones.
Wheres the other lady
Jo Beth what a fox
lol, original vine fails. Only I remember someone saying most of these were American. So I guess you could say we just stole some American videos and dubbed them "for parody". Rakanarshi2 this show was my childhood. We watched it every week
That is correct, they were all mostly taken from America's funniest home video.
before Australia became a prison nation 2021
3:21 21:41 SHUT UP!!!!!!!
Fuck I loved this show. The jingle came up in a quiz recently. And well, 11:25 did not age well. Waiting for the reee parade to feel the need to take offense on behalf of others who couldn't care less.
16:51
The two boys fighting with the cricket and golf sticks isn't funny.
This is a parody.
Denise Gray how?
iPhone
This is a ripoff of America's Funniest Home Videos!!!
Not really a ripoff, just the Aussie version.
Jo Beth Taylor has virtually no personality whatsoever.
