My Dad brought my Daughter once and they both were super excited until they realized it was senior mermaid day, they had mermaids that were like 95 years old.

Great work incorporating the reel with the overall history of Weeki Wachee. The explanation of the multiple close calls of closing over the years, and the subsequent resurrection of Weeki Wachee today is well done and entertaining in its own right. Thanks, and looking forward to more.

I went to Weeki Wachee with my family as a kid in maybe 1973 or 1974? It was on a trip to Disney World. I remember liking it, probably more than Disney!

Superb. Production values get better with every video you do and again, the information is put across so well.

@@viewmastertravels5114 I'll add that your voice is both soothing and easy to follow along properly with. You're human in an AI projectile vocal vomit world. You get attention without begging for it, and that's being very honest with us. I pray I said that correctly... from "willoughby1888"(my other form of honest support.)

This just unearthed a childhood memory of mine of visiting this place on the way to disney world and I remember being like very enchanted with the mermaids, and I think I asked the Ariel at Disney World if she knew the mermaids at Weeki Wachee lol great video!

Mr Limpit movie premiered underwater here where people could watch from the theater.
Also the mold o matics are still popular at tourist places including wonderworks, Busch gardens, and universal studios.

I remember getting a blue Unisphere souvenir from a Mold-A-Rama machine at the NY World's Fair in 1965.

Very interesting. I remember hearing about this, probably when the TV Network owned and promoted it. It looks like it has a tough road to make it a going venture. Too bad that politics had to get involved with it.
    Thanks for the video

Florida is a very fun state that has happiness still left on it. I sometimes wish I never moved away from there, moved back up to Maine. It's lots different here. Florida, I made 'friends' and easily spoke with my neighbors also. I'll repeat myself, "It's lots different here", in Maine. Thanks for making this video for us. I used to live in both Orlando(Dr. Phillips) and Hernando...1995 to 1998. I've now lived in Maine for 26+ years, Kennebunkport/Arundel and Portland.

I hope it brings back memories, if you ever saw the mermaids when you lived near by.

@@viewmastertravels5114 No, I never got to see the mermaids. I don't get around that much due to disabilities. I did have a big chain of lakes in my back yard. Once, while in a "john boat" fishing in tranquil waters, a lake otter popped up right beside of me and I almost flew out of my own skin. I assumed it was a starving alligator shooting itself from the depths and out of the water to have me for its breakfast. Had it been one of those 'mermaids' instead, I'd have asked her for her sweet hand in matrimony! We'd still be married and in love with each other too, I'd make honest sure of it, even. Love heals all wounds, it conquers all doubts. And yes, your Florida adventure did bring me back lots of memories, thank you. Maine says "hello" again.
