    Barre is no joke, in general! I have a question! Do you think the endomorph body type can tone up doing barre? I had lost 20 lbs just walking, some weight training and intermittent fasting (kind of lol)! Then I started lifting heavier and was basically doing hiit workouts with weights and I gained half the weight back and my waist got bigger somehow! I injured my hip flexor somehow and have not been able to do that and I’ve lost about 7 lbs…doing light weights, recumbent bike and a combo of barre and Pilates! When you read and watch videos, they say my body type needs to lift heavy and do hiit cardio! I’m in menopause and I think my body didn’t respond well to that! Any thoughts on this…it gets to be frustrating sometimes???

      Great question! I bet that's frustrating, but it is great that you're trying different things for your body. I feel like it's never a one size fits all type of situation when it comes to our bodies, but it does sound like your body responds more to consistent cardio with some weight training. So barre should help you tone up if you add it to another cardio activity. Some of our barre classes also incorporates fitness bands which could help too if you get bored using weights.
