Your videos are so fun to watch! You've proven to me that it's not the camera but the photographer. I own 4 DSLRs Nikon D100, D200, Canon Rebel XT and my new T7. I've learned so much from you, thank you and please keep it up 👍
I still run my original 300D/Rebel with a variety of lenses. I did try to use it today in a more demanding scenario and I did suffer with it's write-delay even to an ultra CF card. I've had my original 300D since 2004/2005. Thank you for your review, it is a breath of validating fresh air to my trying to keep using it. I simply enjoy the hobby and recreation of using it instead of resorting to the iphone camera LOL
I got my Canon EOS 300D for free about 4 years ago. I now have the Canon EOS 300, 300V and 300D, and I must admit, I prefer the 300 and 300V. For DSLR, I prefer the Konica Minolta Dynax 5D and the Nikon D70. I never really felt happy with the the Canon EOS 300D, but I'm definitely keeping it in my collection.
I too bought one new in '03, lol...Never regretted it as it has been responsible for so many memories. Back then I was the dad with the DSLR and also the camcorder and a phone, which could text. Thanks for the handgrip tip. I picked it up for the first time in years the other day, and yes it just sticks all over anything it touches now. It's in otherwise mint condition apart from the dead battery (new one in post). I'm looking forward to using it again as I think its colours are special V way newer. Thanks again.
Hi there, lovely pics there and thanks for the positive review. Only one question, are thise imiges raw and how much post editing did you use to get them that sharp? Cheers,Derrick.

Hey Carmine, Thanks for the video on the original digital rebel. I still have mine, sticky grips and all! I taped mine and no problem! I was going to get rid of it because I figured, it doesn't have a CCD sensor and I have 3 other digital Canon's that I have bought in the past 2 years, but I decided to try it out first and I like what I am getting from it, so I don't want to sell it. I think it is worth more than what they are going for used right now. ;). I have collected a lot of cameras in the last few years and all have been older cameras, not one new one. Question for you, what used camera would you suggest for sports and bird photography. I am trying not to spend over $2000 on the OM 1 mii. I actually used to take sports photos with this Canon 300D back in the day. For birds lately, I first got the Canon 7D mii and that takes great pics. But then I saw some videos about the 1D, so I ended up getting the 1DX. Do you think those two are pretty good for soccer games and birds. I have gotten some great shots, but when you see some people's pics it makes you want new, super sharp, super fast million pixel cameras. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them! Thanks so much!
@kea484 the camera uses a 1gb cf memory card, just buy a cf card reader that has a USB cord and plug it into your computer to put the photos into your pc
I was given my son’s Canon 300D and I’m not sure which batteries it takes. I purchased no name batteries but the camera won’t turn on. What do you think is the problem? Beth
Hello, may I ask an off topic question. I've been watching your videos and as a result I have been looking at the Nikon 1 v1 and Olympus E620- neither of which are available as cheaply here than in the US . I've also been considering an Olympus OM D EM10 mark ii which is a bit more expensive than either of the first two but not by £hundreds more. Question: which is a better option? Thanks.
Don't forget the little memory keep alive battery which is also in the battery compartment. It is like a watch battery, number CR2016. @@CarmineTavernaPhotography

My very first DSLR with the 18-55mm lens! I love the background jazz music!
My first too and I still have it.
I believe the 300D was the first camera to use EF-S lenses. Also, owning this camera puts you in the 6 Megapixel Club ! :) 6 MP is all you need.
Agreed. Looking back at my photos taken over the years, some of my best shots were with my first DSLR-a 6 MP Nikon D40.
Love Nikon, but it’s difficult to ignore those canon colors! Gorgeous pics!

Hello sir, I just have one question, How to connect this camera to PC does it has a USB port ?
You remove the memory card from the camera and put the memory card in a "USB card reader " and put that in a USB port in your computer.
I buy a cf to usb adapter but I think I broke my cf card because my canon says C bc before starting and error cf .
Can you help me please?
Do you think I need buy a New cf card?
