This video was absolutely useless. People want to know which moissanite is the best to look just like a diamond. You should have gone into each brand of moissanite and what they offer for each shape. Like do they make a brilliant cut, crushed ice cut, Old Mine/Antique/European cut, or Diamond-like cut, what colors each company offers, what stone sizes do they have and do they offer customized sizes for any carat weight, do they offer elongated cuts or chunky cuts, are they too color flashy like C&C which make them look extremely fake and not like most diamonds at all, does the moissanite brand look a bit hazy, does the brand have a blueish tint.... ETC ETC!!! This is the stuff we want to know! Not "it's whatever you like"! Give us all of the details so we can make the decision of what we like and want. I'm trying to find the best moissanite brand for the oval I want, but it's like pulling teeth trying to get answers from people! Plus, most brands cut ovals that look NOTHING like a real oval diamond! They cut it so that it looks like a stupid round under the table, and doesn't have a bow tie! What the heck is wrong with these companies? I want it cut just like a diamond! It's so frustrating! I have been looking for a looong time and looked on manufacturer websites, tons of videos on Instagram, UA-cam, etc, tried emailing companies and don't get responses! It should not be this difficult!

OMG I feel you! This video is dumb, just seems like a clickbait. Such a waste of time.
They didn't compare any brand, no specs about certain brands whatsoever!
Brands offer different moissanites and for that reason IT IS SO CONFUSING as to WHAT ARE THE ACTUAL DIFFERENCES?

I totally get your frustration! This specific video is more of a vlog but they do have informational content on side by side manufacturers. I hope you find the oval you’re looking for! My advice is to go to the moissanite subreddit and ask- they are truly the most unbiased knowledgeable group out there and you’ll get plenty of details and hopefully find your dream stone!

@@brittanylevinson741 Thanks. I'm still looking. Problem is, I can't see them in person and many are not refundable at the large size I want. Which means they don't even back their own product up and probably look fake. Who are moissanite subreddit's? Never heard of them. Thx for responding!

If you are asking which cut is the most similar in “look” to a diamond, a ROUND is the hardest shape to tell the difference between. It is always cut exactly the same because round is always round and the points of fire are Very similar. Watch Lauren B channel where they compare each shape of diamond vs moissanite. They give great notes and camera shots.

I’m seriously considering lab grown but then came across moissanite. The reason why I’m hesitant about moiss is because I find it to have a mirror like shine instead of a glass shine… if that makes any sense lol

I love moissanites. I think it’s as beautiful as a diamond or even more as far as sparkle is concerned. It’s also almost as hard as a diamond, so like a diamond, it can endure some hits and bumps and will not easily scratch or crack. That said, just like a diamond, a moissanite will also retain it’s beauty and will not degrade in time (correct me if I’m wrong). The gap between the two has never been narrower. The biggest gap though is the price, since a moissanite is like a 5th of the price of a diamond.
There was a time when there was basically only one moissanite distributor, and that is C&C. Now that there are some of them, like Supernova, I guess what the viewers want to know, is based on your expertise, which one makes the best as far as quality. Also, can you explain the difference between fire, sparkle, and brilliance? I think they’re all synonymous, but maybe they’re not.

You guys aren’t located in my state but I have watched so many of your videos and would love to get my ring from ya’ll. What is that process? I’m so nervous about just seeing it in pictures.

I would say that the BEST cut, is Old Mine,European, Cushion, Pear,Oval. They look very diamond-like with no rainbow or disco ball look. The round cut in the sunlight is very fake, while a cushion OldMine, is pleasantly sparkly.
The perfect cut for a diamond can not be the same for Moissanite which has a higher refraction. In effect you want to down play the refraction otherwise its phony, cheap looking.

I appreciate the attempt to cover all bases and not to offend anyone and yes, jewelry and preference is subjective. But the question posed “which brand looks most like a diamond in optics and fire” really isn’t that subjective. And even if you feel it is, then you could have gone into it more like your Charles and colvard example-“this brand gives more rainbow effect”, “this brand isn’t colorless the larger the carat weight”, etc etc. and even if it does range by cut and shape, then you could have picked a standard round brilliant and did a case study. 99% of the people watching this video are consumers who want practical advice on buying a moissanite. And if you honestly have NO ability to judge which moissanite gives the optical properties of a diamond- should you really be in the jewelry business? I’ve gone to diamond shops where jewelers will straight out tell me “that’s a good emerald cut stone, or that one isn’t”. THAT’S what people are looking for

Their latest moissanite line is Forever One which definitely appears much "whiter" when compared to Forever Brilliant. @Fire & Brilliance I disagree about online purchasing .. I researched and I bought mine online after research. It's GRA registered Inc the certificates and under a loupe, is fantastic and has on the girdle the serial number which you look up on the official GRA website.. and it passed the diamond test. Most lab diamonds and moissanite gems have identity etched on the stone. Whether the brand name or a serial number. Then you know if it's genuine
Mine came set in a silver ring, but I had it reset in my platinum ring and you can buy loose stones and have them set. Many jewellers buy on aliexpress. Check out the reviews written by them. Charles & Colvard had the patent for a while, but now anyone can produce. Fire & Brilliance are a store seller too.. They are to Moissanite what debeers are to diamond, it's just a name. They're all available in colours and sizes and cuts.
