    I just want to chime in here for anyone watching this. I bought my first XL-sized Weatherall Plus cover 8 years ago in 2013. I live in Alberta Canada, and my bike is parked outside March-October, and that includes some snow in the spring, and intense thunderstorms in the summer.
    My sissy bar on my 2018 Fat Bob only just tore through the back top of the cover today. At the $200 CAD I paid, that’s $25/year for amazing protection. Just ordered my second one in 2XL.

      Thanks for validating the quality of these covers.
      They really are great.
      You do know that they will replace that torn cover under warranty, right?

      @@MRMRS2wheeler I still may look into that, but the slightly bigger size from XL-2XL for the way my bike is configured is needed anyway.
      I’ll have to see what they charge, us folks outside of the Lower 48 don’t have the fixed rate shipping. Good review by the way. 👍

    Awesome review thanks Mike, One question though How is the inside of the cover to prevent scratches on the bike ?

    • @MRMRS2wheeler
      @MRMRS2wheeler  2 роки тому +1

      The inside is a softer material then the outside, which I haven't had any issues with as far as scratching the bike.
      Also, the portion that goes over the windshield is made with an even softer felt like material to prevent scratches on the windshield.
      It's a well designed cover.
      Hope this helps.
      Thanks for watching.

    My Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus 50003-02 lasted 17 months before the threads blew out at 3 locations, 12 to 17 inch tears.
    The plastic triangle over the vents is cracking and crumbling. The fabric stayed intact.
    I'm located in the Monterey Bay in Central California, so no extreme weather conditions here.
    Harbor Freight tarps are faaaar more cost-efficient.
    I agree: I will only buy the Dowco Guardian once.

    • @MRMRS2wheeler
      @MRMRS2wheeler  Рік тому +1

      First of all, why not just send it back for a free replacement? Second, sounds like maybe a defective cover? Hence the warranty 😉
      Third, we are in the midst of a hurricane as I write this, and my bike is outdoors covered with my dowco still in tact.
      I stand by my review 😇

    May I suggest something I've tried, Lowe's sells heavy duty BBQ grill covers in a variety of sizes. On sale a 72" cover was about 30-40 dollars. Working great for me. I bought 4 a year ago and they still look like new.

    • @MRMRS2wheeler
      @MRMRS2wheeler  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the tip! A couple of issues come to mind though. Usually the BBQ covers are not vented, so any moisture will be trapped inside promoting rusting. Also, the Dowco covers have a soft lining where the windshield is, to prevent scratches.
      Stay safe

    Mike sorry this long you know how many bikes I have, I have tried so many covers TIRED, I am going for this, do they have a price deal if you buy more than one cover. I got a quality plastic shed it holds 2 bike my son hooked it up with solar panel set up to it have a double bike charger small fan for circulation and light weight cover on bikes, lighting and keep bike ready, chain stuff, tools ect. For everyone if you have a house and garage opens space If you have nothing now you do. Put wood over thev plastic floor for more suport good to go. 1. Fobo how is yous doing thank you my friend I have it on 4 bikes and my car on FOBO LOVE IT, what I found is that if you check your tires for ware you can play with the presurecand fix a problem tire wear before it goes bad the OEM pressure is no good depending on the bike and weight so with Fobo allowed me to find the sweet spot for each ride and bike. 2. Need to try BRAKE FREE for your helmet comes with charging cord and 3 helmit hooks can order extra has a coulpe of modes you can use and 100% rain proof, as you down shift or brake it lights up super bright not like a lot of the simular junk out there. Got 2 of them the second one I paid and was on a waiting list that tells you something. please buy it and do a review 5 stars SAFETY you will thank me. 3. They have the head light flasher LEGAL IN ALL STATES, just ordered one to try reviews are great I am going to connect to my Hi beam if you want it on while riding hit your hi beam stays on good to go. SAFETY. They also sell the flasher for the brake light. 4. Rybo have there flash light drill, ect they make a air pump had it for 3 years keep it in the shed with the charger 18v lithium battery couple of sizes have the large battery get a thousand air fills on a charge. Best unit for air in you tires at home, so easy to use. They went on sale got 3 of them. 5. I have on all my bikes drake lights on constant flash when I hit the brakes with that and brake free on your helmet cars stop any ware from 1 to 3 car lengths away from me its funny to watch there reaction I got there attention number one danger is a car running into you at a stop light. Revzilla sells both head light and connector of your bike plug and play front and brake light not sure I have the TST brake light cost way more but quality part and works great. Loved seeing the camping trips again the problems you had, keep the video real. Get on a bike after not riding for two weeks or less RUSTY. Please do more local riding even if it's a run to the store. Most people are not as lucky as you and me, your in Florida which is open and I have road every day of this cold since it started on Guam. Right now riding is the best mental health thing for everyone on this channel. Thank you for your great reviews and I hope I helped a little with the above comment. LOL

      Hey Guamkid, whoa, that was a lot to read, lol. 1.My Fobo is working fine as well. Glad you are liking yours too. 2. thanks I'll check it out, but I have to check the weight on it. I have enough on my helmet already weighing it down. 3. Not a fan of the headlight flasher, I feel it is distracting/blinding to oncoming cars and might do more damage than good. Just my opinion. 4.I need one of those, Sounds great, thanks. 5. I have been considering adding that. Thanks for the tips.
      Glad you enjoyed the camping trip. We're slowly getting back out there. Things may be open, but that doesn't mean it's safe. Both my son and Nina got covid recently.
      BTW I never go 2 weeks without getting on the bike. I do short runs to the store, run errands, and sometimes even to business meetings and work related stuff. It is my therapy! Seems like I got a new nickname 😜
      I appreciate the comment as always but MAN that was a long one lol.😆

    • @MRMRS2wheeler
      @MRMRS2wheeler  Місяць тому +1

      Great Question.
      I'll explain.
      First,
      NO cover will last forever. I've had covers that only lasted a few months, which tear and leak. These last a few years each, and have protected my bike very well. Always dry after rain.
      Second,
      I am in South Florida and my bike lives outdoors. The cover is exposed to brutal sun all year round, torrential storms, and the occasional hurricane & tropical storm (extreme winds) so for a cover to last a few years each under those conditions, is fantastic. For most, I would expect it to last much, MUCH longer.
      Third,
      Yes, I have collected several sacks, but remember, I have been using their covers for over 11 years now, and I have 3 different covers. One for my CBR, one travel cover (which I have had for over 11 years, and lastly, the cover you see in the video. That one takes the most abuse being outdoors year round.
      And fourth, and the best part:
      in the almost 12 years of owning these covers, I have only bought it once.
      It is the BEST cover you can buy (only once)
      I hope that explains it 😉😁
