It is relevant to the size of the club tho. City just don’t have a big fan base so they aren’t a big club. They have been the best club in England over the last decade I would rather be good than big. But some fans seem weirdly obsessed with being a big club when then should be happy with being good

The city fan is equating spending as being a big club and that's not what defines a big club.. its a multitude of factors, world wide fanbase, how many European and league TROPHYS which lfc have miles ahead of city, revenue & and sponsorship(legit revenue not state sponsored doping like city)
Stephen makes me so happy that he represents us city fans on youtube, I could write down the arguments against us before the debate happens, city fans never ever have said we are the biggest, not one of us, we aren't stupid, but have we been the most successful in the past 10 years, yes, has the money helped, yes, will winning trophies makes us a bigger club, yes.. these are all facts, they just are. I have a feeling that they deliberately get people like him to make stupid arguments. Almost all the questions here aren't really questions. City is already big club regardless of their history
Liverpool fan - I think Kompany was a phenomenal CB. Throughout all the years of spending at City, the only player who remained at the heart of the team was Kompany. I think if VVD keeps performing at the level he has been for the next 5yrs or so, then yes maybe you can compare the two. At the moment, you can’t.
City already averaged a higher percent attendance and overall attendance than Liverpool the last season fans could fully attend matches? The whole ‘emptihad’ joke and no fans argument is outdated and inaccurate. City fills their stadium better than Liverpool and has a higher average percent than Man U as well although their stadium has a much larger capacity.
I wouldn’t say City fill their stadiums more than Liverpool but the etihad is near enough full every matchday and I know because I’m a season ticket holder

Nope Van Dijk was and incredible leader of men not just for Liverpool but for his country. Man is captain of Netherlands. He controls the backline and directs the goal keeper, fullbacks and center-back pair. He leads the team when Henderson is absent. Van Dijk is COMPLETE.

Pep has a far better legacy than Klopp, and I'm saying this as a Real Madrid fan, You can't deny it, Pep is up there with Sir Alex Ferguson. Comes in second in my book, and I think every football fan knows it.
Vincent Kompany (minus his injuries) has consistently been a top class defender and one of the best leaders in premier league history. VVD however, is a better player but can he do it consistently like Kompany did.
As a City fan I'd go along with that. I know he had injuries but Kompany has that decade or so there, big moments for us like the header against United in 2012 and and the Leicester goal. I know there's an irony and probably a bit unfair me talking about goals for a CB but it's just things that happen over a longer period of time. We will see how Van Dijk gets on. He is a colossus no doubt.
@@MoejiiOsmanTV Where have I said in that statement that Kompany is better than VVD? I’ve clearly said VVD is a better player? I’m talking about Kompany has been a top defender 10+ years, let’s see if VVD can do the same
The first question is like saying Barcelona is a big club only because they have always been a big club. False. It grew over time as it accomplished more and star players become attracted to the accomplishment. Another example is PSG: created in 1970 and grew into what it is today because of accomplishments and star players seeking to join over time. Do you think Messi would have joined PSG if they have not become such big contenders for the UCL in the past few seasons? The common denominator for creating a "big club" is time. Time allows for more accomplishments due to successful strategy. Then, star players become attracted to the club for their accomplishments and/or extreme potential.
Common denominator for big club is not time, but money. Only reason people want to go to PSG is because they can offer 2x more than any other club on average. In terms of success, what has PSG won that can be considered a great achievement? They have yet to win a CL eventhough they have the 2 most expensive players in history for more than 3 years now. Messi coming to PSG has nothing to do with PSG being a big club and more to do with PSG being able to afford Messi's wages. Which is no coincidence why the only two clubs that came up once Barca announced Messi's departure were the two richest club in football..
How do you think these so called big clubs that obviously grew with time attracted big names and eventually signed them? With money of course. You can't say that Barca and Madrid were inherently big and hence players went there. You're not born big. And fan base comes with the success. Don't tell me fans like to support a club that keeps giving them hiccups and they want to stick with it only because the club itself has always been bigger. Players gave them the success that resulted in them attracting big names. And money was a central element to this growing ladder.
Stopped watching after deluded Liverpool fan couldn’t accept that Man City will eventually be a big club. At the level that they have been playing the past 10 years and how they are playing they will have so many trophies and growing fan base.
They can be a big club but they will not reach united, Liverpool or even arsenals worldwide fanbase for atleast 100yrs when u haven't even won a ucl trophy vs 6 for lfc and 3 for united.... Let's be realistic they can't even fill there stadium... Pumping state sponsored money into a club for 10yrs isn't gonna make u a big club compared to the traditional big 3

2:58 That's not totally false tho. During the late 80's and early 90's Man Utd used to have the same amount of trophies as Aston Villa (7 League titles and 1 CL)
The difference was that Manchester United were still considered the biggest club despite Liverpool having dominated. Time does change things but United and Liverpool will still be considered the biggest. In Italy the big 3 are Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, despite AC having been poor for a long time.
Thing is that Aston Villa were a big club. My Dad used to tell me that it was Villa, Everton, Arsenal, United and Liverpool that were seen as the biggest clubs in England. Behind Everton, they have the most top flight seasons ever. Right now they are still a very respectable club and you could make a good argument Villa are still a big club right now but they haven't won much of note in the past 20 years.
@BILLY PIECRUST I'd like to disagree. City don't have as many FA Cups, they are on the same amount of League titles but Villa have been in the top flight for time with the most seasons in the top flight behind Everton so City would need to consolidate themselves in top flight football for about another 20-30 years.
@@maxabah7904 In the 80's United and Liverpool were still the big boys. Everton, Forest, Leeds, Villa, Arsenal and Spurs were considered the next tier of clubs at that time. Even though Leeds were relegated in the early 80's, it was considered a blip like when United got relegated in the 70's. When you look at 3 of those now, they spent a long time away from the top division and none of them have had the backing of a Man City or Chelsea.
I’m a Liverpool fan but I don’t know what the Liverpool fan is talking about, if Man City keep winning more and more trophies over the next few years/decades they’re for sure gonna be classified as a big club
Winning more trophies doesn't make you a big club... Clubs are a part of our culture and family, so the big clubs are only going to be bigger and as a result no matter how big city are going to be they'll always be smaller than the big clubs... It's a fact... Look at villa bro, they haven't won a big trophy for a long time but still have a big and loyal fan base.
History doesn't remember the amount of money you spent on success. City PL trophies 11/12 (known for the iconic Aguero goal) 13/14 (known for Yaya being unstoppable) 17/18 (centurions) 18/19 (beating liverpool by 1 point) and 20/21 (false 9 brilliance). No one talks about how much money we spent to win all those trophies, we only talk about the money in year of winning but a few years on and it's all forgotten.
Don't agree really. I still see people bring up Chelsea's early titles and where that money come from quite a lot. The money doesn't change the fact that this is a great team deserving of their trophies, but people will definitely not forget the money when it comes to City. It's literally part and parcel with the name Manchester City now. City could pack out the stadium every game for five years and people will still call it the Emptihad.
My Argument for Klopp and Pep would be every time Pep managed he came into a winning team/scenario with winning culture. While Klopp in other hand was not as blessed, with lack of funds compared to his rivals he dominated with BVB against Byern. A team that was trying to buyout his team, same goes for Liverpool. It takes a decent or good manager to come into a dominate team and carry on dominating, you'd have to crazy or absolute shit to ruin the team's reign.

First of all this Man City fan is logical and I like him and of course he will back his coach but I have always rated coaches such as Mourinho and Klopp better than Guardiola and that’s not to say Guardiola isn’t a fantastic coach. Guardiola hasn’t won the champions League since he left Barca which is a long time now. He choked in the Champions League final last season. Klopp has flaws too but he’s been able to bring more out of players with significantly less transfer budget.
@@arneshsingh7239 😂 if you want to say Guardiola is better, there are arguments for that side but sadly your argument is not a good one. Choking is when one team is significantly favored to win and loses such as when Guardiola’s Man City lost to Chelsea or Lyon. With Dortmund, it was an achievement to even get to the finals, they haven’t even been to the semi-finals after he left. With Liverpool, they lost to REAL MADRID (the team that won three champions league in a row) so I wouldn’t call that choking, btw Liverpool beat Man City in the QF that year with a worse team so I guess Man City choked that year. Klopp has had way more European success than Guardiola (Since he left Barca) with much less budget spending. If you want to say Guardiola is better you would argue that he’s better in terms of consistency and philosophy but not through the Champions league. Also, I still think Guardiola is one of the greatest it’s just that I value when a manager achieves something doubted as almost impossible. For example when Mourinho took that Porto squad and winning the champions League or when Klopp goes with 97 and 99 points in back to back season. Even when Liverpool won the Prem that year, before the season started, Man City were favorites due to their squad depth.

Its always painful watching these Liverpool fans spout nonesense. I dont know whats worse out of seeing Ty from arsenal debate or just generally having a sensible debate with a Liverpool fan.
1. “Man City will never be considered a big club” This question purely comes down to each persons definition of what a “big club” is. I’d argue that City are currently a big club due to their current success, but If we are going by the Liverpool fans logic then no, City are not currently a big club due to their lack of history. Having said that, there is certainly no reason why City cannot become as “big” as Liverpool or United if they remain on the course that they are currently on. 2. “Pep Is a better manager than Klopp” I think this is an extremely difficult question because we have never seen Klopp with the financial backing that Pep has received, and we have never seen Pep manage a lower quality side. I personally believe that Klopp is better at developing players, and Pep is better at managing world class sides. This is why they are at the perfect clubs for them. Having said that, I personally believe that Peps way of football is so technically demanding that he needs the best players in order to play his way, so if they swapped positions, he would possibly struggle more than Klopp, but realistically they are the best managers in the world and there is very little between them. 3. “Sterling made the right choice in leaving Liverpool” I agree with both fans in the video. Yes he made the right decision in terms of trophies that he has won, and yes he made the right decision in terms of the lack of quality players that were at the Liverpool at the time. He also made the right decision in terms of his bank account. 4. “Van Dijk is a better player than Kompany ever was” The answer is yes, as Van Dijks best individual season is better than Kompanys. Kompany never came close to a Ballon D’or. If we’re talking about their entire careers, then of course the answer is no. Kompanys entire career overshadows Van Dijks massively. It depends on how you want to interpret the question.
Kompany is better than vvd. I don’t think he ever had a better season than vvd but in terms of legacy and importance then it’s kompany. Kompany was lifting titles when vvd was at Celtic and no one heard of him. I don’t think kompany is as good as puyol, Ramos, pique etc which is why ballon d’or’s never came his way maybe now he could’ve been considered a bit.
1. Kompany has a bigger legacy and always will. Maybe VVD was better on pitch but nobody compares to Kompany. 2. Saying City is not a big club is nonsense. What defines a big club? We might not have such a successful history like Liverpool or Man U, but for the past 10 years we have been making history, and this will continue for many years. 3. Both managers are class, but no one can compare to Guardiola. His managing has been around longer than Klopps, won more trophies, and modernized football. Klopp is good, but saying he is better than Guardiola is just messed up. I know I'm biased, but many will say the same.
They've both dominated and got ridiculous amount of points and personally I would say Klopp is better when it comes to managing a bunch of underrated players and turning them into superstars. Pep is better when it comes to managing big squads with big names.
Man City are clearly already a big club with their financial might and trophy haul. However, Man City would not be able to keep up to Liverpool or the other traditional big clubs, without the oil state backing.

For the City will never be a big club debate you would have to clarify what it means to be a big club. The reason why people dont hold City as high of a regard as United and Liverpool is not because they havent had huge amounts of success but because of how they got that success, Liverpool and United both started as small clubs as well but how they got to their heights is much more respectable than Cities. Liverpool and United gradually grew in wealth and power through their success which for 1, gives them history and 2, gains the respect of others as it has been proven that they worked for the success whilst City just gained a load of money and a good coach out of nowhere and became successful in a matter of a decade. I’m a Man United fan and the scouser had a really poor explanation as to why City won’t ever be classed as a big club, I agree they won’t ever be classed as a big club. That is because United and Liverpool were successful before they had bags of money, they were coached by brilliant managers with a mixture of bringing in brilliant players. All of Manchester City’s success is down to a takeover, the money was not earnt in the same right that Liverpool and United earnt their money and reputation. IMO without the takeover, City would not be in the premier league today, they were slapped 8-1 by Middlesbrough the season before the takeover!
I agree that their success has been helped by the money they spent, but even if they can't spend that much in like the next 10-20 I think that they might become a big club. The success that they have has set the foundations to attract big players for years. I'm a United fan as well, but it's hard to deny that they have set the foundations to become a big club. Not as big as United and Liverpool, but no team will ever do that.
@@joshuaagbettor5610 But the question was whether they would be considered as a big club and I think the vast majority of fans never will regard them as a big club. Don’t get me wrong, you’re absolutely right in the sense that they will attract big players and they will continue to win, but you can’t say it’s not just down to the money because that is exactly what got the ball rolling for City, they had only been back in the top flight for not even 10 years and were hanging around the bottom half of the table and then one of their first signings was Robinho who was regarded as one of the best players in the world at the time! Why? Because of the money and by his own admission he thought he was signing for United!🤣 Purely without that takeover they would be in a relegation fight every year maybe even worse.

PSG did not become a big club over time ..... u clearly don’t know what u are talking about . The oil money made them a big club
Messi had no other option mate. Rather be a free agent or choose whqt is best available right now and psg perfectly fit that boxes.

I’d say Kompany over Van Dijk. I think Kompany has kept a high level for a long time, whilst Van Dijk came in and was phenomenal, but he has only been at that level for about 1-2 years (not counting this season, cause of the injury). The same with Rúben Dias. He played a phenomenal first season, but the question is; can he (and Van Dijk) keep it up or are they good for 2-3 seasons, and then flop. Kind of I guess but not really. Walker was arguably better at Spurs, Poch had him playing top notch football. Sterling yes but you could also argue that was just natural progression as Sterling was young when he was bought. Fernandinho I fully agree. Bernardo I agree. Gundo not really, this past season yes but it's the first season he's had at City that was better than his time at Dortmund. Aguero no lol. ''Made them outstanding'' Aguero was already outstanding and probably even better beforehand.
Its always painful watching these Liverpool fans spout nonesense. I dont know whats worse out of seeing Ty from arsenal debate or just generally having a sensible debate with a Liverpool fan.
1. “Man City will never be considered a big club”
This question purely comes down to each persons definition of what a “big club” is. I’d argue that City are currently a big club due to their current success, but If we are going by the Liverpool fans logic then no, City are not currently a big club due to their lack of history. Having said that, there is certainly no reason why City cannot become as “big” as Liverpool or United if they remain on the course that they are currently on.
2. “Pep Is a better manager than Klopp”
I think this is an extremely difficult question because we have never seen Klopp with the financial backing that Pep has received, and we have never seen Pep manage a lower quality side.
3. “Sterling made the right choice in leaving Liverpool”
I agree with both fans in the video. Yes he made the right decision in terms of trophies that he has won, and yes he made the right decision in terms of the lack of quality players that were at the Liverpool at the time. He also made the right decision in terms of his bank account.
4. “Van Dijk is a better player than Kompany ever was”
The answer is yes, as Van Dijks best individual season is better than Kompanys. Kompany never came close to a Ballon D’or. If we’re talking about their entire careers, then of course the answer is no. Kompanys entire career overshadows Van Dijks massively. It depends on how you want to interpret the question.
Detail m8 😂
@@WakaWaka2468 no one needed to
you know ball, couldnt say this better.
Man said Man City isn’t a big club 😂
Why
I agree with #1 and #2 but #3??? No way dude.

That is because United and Liverpool were successful before they had bags of money, they were coached by brilliant managers with a mixture of bringing in brilliant players. All of Manchester City’s success is down to a takeover, the money was not earnt in the same right that Liverpool and United earnt their money and reputation.
