Im a scientist and work with headphones when in my lab. Few female voices are easy ti listen to over hours (ie binging old episodes.) I’m still learning her personality in general and will have more insight as I go along. I also don’t look for podcasters to solve all of our issues. Sometimes I just challenge myself to listen to opinions with different origin stories than mine.

I absolutely adore Mona and am so happy she has her own podcast cause she was meant to stand on her own. The only thing I disagree with (just my opinion please don’t drag me for it) is with the whole,” if you’re mixed you’re black cause of the one drop rule” for one that was rule was rooted in racism, for 2 it does diminish a mixed persons experience and can cause confusion, and lastly they need their own lane bc we love to cry about representation and someone looking like us when a mixed person is casted for a role, etc but WE are the ones who claim them as black. Not to mention how confusing it is to little black girls and boys when they see a person who doesn’t share their tone, features etc but we praise that person and say they are black yet they can’t identify with anything about them. Sorry I know this is a fun, not-to-be taken too serious podcast and I never leave long ass comments like this lol but just wanted to put it out there. Big ups Mona you’re awesome 🙏💕
