Thanks for doing this, I'm considering going for a Western unknown Chinese brand I'm scared of getting burned though and getting product that may break with no Uk support. Having to wait possibly months for my phone to return incase of an indecent is a frightening prospect!
Does SD 810 on Le Max have any heating issue??. Le Max is about to launch in India would you recommend it?? Does Le Max has quick charge?? I am fond of big screen size thus no issue with 6.3 display. Please advise.
+Achind A S Oops my bad, good catch. Well as for his original question I would be severely cautious of the Snapdragon 810 most manufacturers had to throttle it just to make up for its overheating issues.
Well, the Meizu might be "slower" in the first test, but it's definitely faster and more stable in performance because the Shitdragon 810 has the worst processoroptimazation ever, which lets it overheat after a few minutes of work. As it overheats, it tries to maintain the clock speed as long as possible, leading to even more heat before it starts to shut down its cores one by one. After about 15 minutes of stressing the 810, you've got 4 active cores left, clocking themselves between 1,2 GHz and 1,8 GHz to cool down the device. Try the benchmarks again after having stressed both Snapdragon 810 and Helio X10 devices for some time, the 810 will perform far worse than in the first test, while the Helio X10 will have a similar result to the initial benchmark.
if you're talking about Snapdragon, they're making the best SoC in mobile in terms of overall performance, but....... if you're talking about what should mobile CPU capable of doing - its not all about performance at its core, MTK is more reasonable, they're doing it the right way, they had CorePILOT 4.0, first octa-core cpu company releasing it to public consumer, and the latest tech that they're showcasing recently, they made their CPUs more cooler than before, it means, cooler in your pocket and not heat when holding it whilst gaming.. many people are always go for benchmark score, and really concern about how much heavy apps and gaming performance such SoC can do... in short, the way I see.. MTK has more stamina and endurance while Snapdragon are all about strength... both are good in their own way... remember, competition always benefits the consumers and promotes innovation.
+Saleh Saleh you see at gpu and ram speed.. meizu mx5 is very slow than other two. so if you want smoothness king. then you must chose other phone. because. ram and gpu is the key for smoothnes. btw im user meizu m2 mini. and want to upgrade to mx5. if I can buy mx5 for 250 dolar. maybe worth to buy.
You guys must get this question a lot, so I don't know if you will answer this... But I've been doing some research lately, since I am looking to change my tired old Samsung Galaxy S3. I've made up an excell spreadsheet with chinese phones, comparing them with the S6, S5, S4 and S3. I've looked at processors, gpu's, ram, internal storage, SD card capability, camera sensors and abilities, screens, PPI density, battery capacity, antutu scores and last but not least price as well as 4G, 3G and 2G band support for my country (Belgium) Pretty much all of the chinese candidates, apart from the ZTE Axon Elite, lack 800mhz LTE support and this phone and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro lack 900mhz 3G UMTS support. So here's my little shortlist, which would be your top 3 and in which order? Meizu: Pro 5, MX5, MX4 Pro, MX4 Xiaomi: Mi Mote Pro, Mi 4C, RedMi Note 2, RedMi Note 3, Mi 4 ZTE: Axon Elite, Nubia Z9 LeTV: S1 Pro X800, Le 1S X500 Huawei: Honor 6 Plus, P8 And should it be worth considering others or waiting for the Elephone P9000? I set out wanting to get an SD capable device, but I think I could live without it on a 32GB or 64GB device. I would like to be able to shoot 4K video as well as slow motion functionality would be nice. I also like the screen shrinking funtion on some of the 5,7" devices and since I've been out of the game for quite a while, I don't know wether or not this is standard on all of those devices. Kind regards.
+Tomash Masojc It's the GPU that is slower on the MX5's Mediatek X10 SoC. The low GPU score pulls down the total score, you can also see that in comparison to the other devices' scores in the details page that he opens.
hi i'm from algeria and i want to buy letv but i'm afraid a bit because they told me that it's not gonna work here and it i wont be able to use Google play services ,is this true ?
The LeTv Le max is ahead of Oneplus two in points because the processor is clocked lower at 1.8 GHz compared to 2.0 Ghz on LeTv Le max.

Hi in this test did you keep the Meizu in balanced or power saver mode? seems like only in performance mode the phone really performs
