On a scale of one to ten, how hard do you squeeze the foot with your legs in order to rasp the hoof using both hands? Do you get better at holding the foot with the squeeze of your legs with practice?
Does the hot shoe process make a better fit for the shoe? About five seconds seems to be the uniform time to apply a hot shoe and the shoe is black hot, not red hot, correct? I like the nails to protrude and give more traction to the shoe, depending on the shoe design. Personally, I found that even the medicated filler in the sole area of my donkey resulted in too much moisture. I don't know if donkey feet sweat more than horses or not.
