LMFAO English 11 honors person here taking the test, and kinda forgot how important the poem section and learning how to do a quick deep analysis was VERY important to do on the test. Eh what ever I’ll be fine I got 1.5 extra time hopefully I can get a 2 to 3 on that section.

I've been doing IB English this year but I'm taking the AP lit test tomorrow. After watching this video everything seems pretty attainable but I was wondering how long I should try to make my essays? Should I go for five paragraphs or is four just fine?
In my experience, you want at least two paragraphs, that being an intro and a body. Any additional paragraphs are added as necessary or as you want to use it to divide your writing.
I took AP Lit as a class this year. According to my teacher and in order to get a good essay in 40 minutes, I would do 5... 1. Intro 2. Body 3. Body 4. Sophistication 5. Conclusion. Be SURE to address the overall points of each body paragraph in your thesis to make your thesis specific enough. Good luck tomorrow!

@@datboi7722 I actually wouldn’t advise writing a conclusion, the sophistication point is kind of hit or miss so I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you
Four paragraphs is often plenty to get a highs score. Focus on balancing your time well and producing a fully developed essay in 40 minutes. Good luck on the exam!

Hi! Sorry to bother but I was just wondering what would happen if we forget the authors and characters names in our examples for the essay. Would that make us lose points or could we replace their name with another name and announce in the essay we forgot the names? That’s what my last teacher taught me but it kinda sounds sketchy
Mentioning u forgot and going with a different name would make u lose credibility, u dont know it, dont write about it
I think your last teacher was setting you up for failure! :O The best scoring essays are as detailed as possible with the correct author and character names. So try to use novels you know extremely well! I think you should review a selection of novels with different themes and get to know the characters again!
Try to be as specific and detailed as possible in your answers. You cannot fulfill the task for Q3 if you aren’t discussing the work in an accurate and meaningful way.
