I don't think it's intended to be funny, I assumed it was a genuine warning to broaden audience appeal for the compilation to people who wouldn't enjoy jumpscary games.

The jumpscare bit from Ravs ruins the footage and reaction, a few times was funny but its now just ruining bits I haven't seen before

It really doesn't though, and is very helpful for those of us that that don't want unprompted jumpscares in a compilation.
Personally speaking as someone that finds Lydia being terrified hilarious but is too much of a coward to watch those videos it’s a lifesaver
I appreciate it as a warning to take my headphones off for a few seconds.
