To dodge you don't have to hold block(right mouse) you just tap W A S or D while he is attacking.
@furryegglet Idk, I always hold right click its an habit i guess, then I left click to assassinate.
Quite possible, havent played the game in a long time, this video is almost 1 year old.
download the SML launcher and lower the graphics or disable shadows.
not really laggin no, maybe some minor spikes sometimes.

It's age isn't a factor necessarily, it's the components inside the PC such as your graphics card and processor.
Grab from behind and attack mouse button.

I usually Jump so that he doesnt hear me and then hold right click when im bout to land behind him and its gonna grab him.
You have to be in melee range and use the left mouse button and combining left and right arrow keys for directions and crouching for low kicks ect.
Yeah I think they changed how assassination works, it was a bit glitchy and caused crashes sometimes, they may have disabled it temporarily.

When I hold right mouse to block, I don't keep blocking. Only for a second.
That's supposed to be like that. You're supposed to react to the fluid combat, and not just hold the block button whenever you're not attacking.
yea they updated it so u couldn't hold it in block

Actually, your character blocks attacks without pressing anything. This blocking doesn't work forever , as the enemy can do repeatitive attacks and knock you to the ground after too many hits. To prevent this, dodge the enemy by holding movement keys as he is attacking or counter his attack by right clicking once he starts his attack
You are blocking wrong. You can only effectively block if you hit it at the moment before impact. However, you have automatic defensive responses that sometimes work which is what you are seeing here. Holding down block is a good way to lose to even 1 much less 3 enemies.
I played and tryed to do the things you did but When I'm near a weapon I cant Pick it up with E i have to hold down right mouse button But when im with one handed weapon like knife i cant attack with the knife I punch him or kick him Like i dont carry weapon :\

In just about every single video where there is hand to hand combat in one of these Overgrowth videos, there is always those few people that ask "how do I throw people?" -_-
it's very simple, right click just as an enemy is attacking, and there you go
I think they removed the feature of being able to snap necks. Probably because it was just as fast as killing someone from behind with a weapon, making it pointless to assassinate someone with a weapon.
actually your character dosent take damage its like real life the character you have has a bone structure that will use just like a human one so it acts the same as the normal human body structure
That's not what i meant, i don't find this video boring, i never said that, i just merely said that i'm not going to buy a game that is this early in Alpha that it doesn't have ANYKIND plot or story yet.
This game looks good but a bit boring without any kind goals or anything.. you just... are... and do random stuff, i know it's Alpha but this footage ain't nearly enough for me to pre-order it
It has now been changed, when you grab them, you just hold them there and then you auto kill them in about 5 seconds, using the attack button doesn't do anything.
whenever you do kill or like when your in a fight. try to spam slow motion :D alot
it will let us see how you hit them. and it will look pretty fuckin boss. :3

Yeah you can play it. I just bought it and you get access to the alphas. You get to play the game while its being created. Just like the video.

I bought it because you can fuck around with alot of things, there's custom maps for parkour, combat, challenges etc.
You hit ESC, add object, hit characters tab, click the character you want and then then click where you want it.
Are you SURE you think that? you're gonna compare the alpha of this game to the entirerty of the AC series? think.
Then watch a video that doesn't tell you how to play. Expect it to be boring if you only watch tutorials.
Fast travel = hold onto a dead body and while holding on to the body press F rapidly for about 5 times

You have to go on the forums and search for the SML launcher, its like an addon and lets you tweak the settings a bit more.
Oh well I bought it preordered and I DONT know how to go to the app its not on my desktop I'm on laptop not a big monitor PC.
This would make a nice mmo or a game with cool huge battles like in MOunt and blade.

You sound like the character would sound every time the word "button" pops.
You just press the ESC button. When you are in the "Edit Menu" you have to click load object (or something like that with a blue cube) scroll down and you will see all kinds of weapons.

This looks like an old game i used to play called Lugaru
It won't Pick up the weapon, is there something wrong?
Do you have to hold E to keep the weapon in your hand
I think they should add slow-mo to the game
But you could only use it on Arena, on campaign after a certain level,because Turner was probably honing his skills (For those of you who don't know, Turner is the name of the character you control in Overgrowth, which is the somewhat sequel to Lugaru, in which Turner's name is revealed, and so is his story) , and multiplayer IF the server allowed it, but only for a limited time with a cooldown
Active blocking is actually done by tapping the right mouse button right before the enemy's attack lands. Looks like you were just passive blocking in the video. You can also do a judo throw by holding down the right mouse button after an active block.
Let me guess:
The other rabbits grab you in the air by the feet and slam your face into the ground?
It was always almost impossible to land.
Even in the first game (Lugaru) it was like that.
